My dad was also, like Stella very temperamental, abusive both emotionally and physically ((to me and my sisters he never hit my mom)), did not have a good grip on his emotions, and he drank...a lot. Eventually they did separate. My dad always thought they'd get together, my mom meanwhile found someone else and well...got together with him. She would meet him in secret, and well.....yeah it was basically like Stolas and Blitz.

But.

My mom, told us. She talked to us, about what happened behind those closed doors, the reason for the separation, the reason why she found someone else. Something that, I don't think Stolas ever did. So, my sisters and i chose my mom in the end.

Octavia is not watching Helluva Boss, she doesn't know what the audience does. All she knows is her father chose someone else, and she doesn't understand why because she doesn't have the whole story. I say this because I see people already hating on her and saying how she should have known but. Speaking as someone whose been in that position, you don't know what you don't know. When people hide things really well....how was she to know? Ok sure make the argument that Stella isn't exactly being.....discrete, but again Octavia doesn't know anything.

Soooo yeah all that to say, I understand Octavia and I will defend my precious Owlette.

If we can understand Fizzarolli being mad at Blitz all these years. Surely we can understand the seventeen year old girl.
