What kills me about Jinx and Vi is that in both finales, Vi would have chosen her sister. Season 1 Cait and Vi have already broken up, Vi is ready to leave everything behind to be with her sister. But then Jinx wants her to kill Cait and that's a step too far. Because Vi does love them both and also she's not a cold blooded murderer and yet to Jinx it's a betrayal. And so she rejects Vi despite Vi being willing to choose her, because it's not enough.
But then in season 2 there's the initial fight where Vi is trying to hard to pretend it's not killing her inside that she's not caught in the middle between her sister and her gf. And then Cait is the one to reject her for not being a cold blooded murderer this time. Act 2 Jinx reaches out and they start to reconnect and Vi is so willing to stay with her sister, to accept her. Jinx starts to see it now, the way she couldn't in s1. Even though they do cross paths with Cait again Vi's priority remains her family, she's willing to break Jinx out of jail no matter what it does to her tense truce with Cait.
But Jinx at this point has just lost Isha and she is convinced that she is the problem. There is something fundamentally wrong with her that hurts the people she loves. Even if she and Vi were besties again it wouldn't last. Vi has someone she loves that she can't be with because of their conflict with Jinx. And in s1 Jinx's solution was to push Vi to remove Cait from the equation, but this time she decides that she has to remove herself. Vi loves too much, she'd love them both until it wore her down to nothing. And Jinx, now at her lowest, believes she isn't worth it.
Twice Vi tries to choose her, to show Jinx that she'll never stop loving her. Twice Jinx rejects her. The first time she simply doesn't believe Vi loves her enough. The second time she knows Vi does. The love is there and she sees it now. It still doesn't change anything.

The fact that Jayce probably wanted to leave behind a legacy after he died and that legacy was meant to be hextech. Except that legacy is now tainted, and he still dies. It really goes to show that not only did he understand, but he clearly loved Viktor, whether it was as a friend, platonically, or as an (almost) lover, romantically.
Personally, I think that he loved Viktor as the secret third option, cosmically. Souls intertwined. In every universe, I wholeheartedly think that they are soulmates!

jayce enduring a symbolic rendition of viktor's trauma is so painful and so, so clever.
being stricken down and immobilized through sheer accident or, in viktor's case, a cruelly random quirk that caused his disability.
then physically dragging himself from the lowest level of zaun to piltover, much like how viktor spent his youth reaching toward the promise piltover offered, but only if he could "pull himself up by the boot straps" and get there on his own. socioeconomic forces working against him be damned.
i appreciate arcane reminding us of viktor's origins - the reason he is so called to help people and, eventually, save himself - and putting jayce through the ringer - the contrast between he and viktor's lived experiences is front and center throughout season 1. the writers send jayce, and the audience, on a grueling journey to contemplate those experiences and how they've manifested in these intertwined characters.
