💊 “I get why people see us as weapons. What I don’t understand is why you just accept it.”
impulsive-power:
💊 “Do you expect me to fight with my fists for the rest of my life?! I should have a weapon!”
“We are the weapons, Tetsuo…”
“Even if you don’t understand it now, you’ll understand it once…”

💊 "You sound like Grandpa."
impulsive-power:
💊 “Coming from a guy who runs around with a magic sword…”
“First, it is encased. Second, it took me seventeen years of sophisticated training to actually get an honor for ‘running around’ with that sword…”
“And third, didn’t I tell you to stop watching through the Multiverse?”

💊 He knows his father well enough that he'll be true to his word, which is why the boy is hesitant, glaring across the room at nothing in particular. The scowl that's worn isn't an unusual look for Tetsuo, however, the silence is telling.
"There's a man that's been following me around."
He finally looks up at his father and is quick to diminish the obvious. "Not Grandpa, someone else. I don't recognize him from any gang."
☯ Starter Call ║ @impulsive-power ☯
“I cannot simply try and get into your head… But I can always tell when there’s something that bothers either of you. At least, let me be aware of the reason, kiddo…”
“Is this about the headache? Your siblings? Perhaps, anything that can be related to the school? You know I won’t leave you alone till I will learn what’s disturbing my boy…”

@kitakaze-no-ryu
💊 Tetsuo is sitting outside in the yard of a cheap apartment building that his family rents. His hands play around with a dated handheld game, pressing buttons and shifting the mini joint stick on the side of the device until his fingers are sore. He’s beat the game five times already, even surpassing Kaneda’s high score. The mindless play style is the perfect distraction he needs from being ditched again by the older boy.
That’s been happening a lot lately. Whatever his adopted brother did after class wasn’t something that Tetsuo wanted to be involved with. He doesn’t have the patience to dance around girls, holding doors open for them and buying them drinks. The moment he’s out of cigarettes or needs some money for gas, they become disinterested and want to be taken home. Tetsuo is smarter than that. Kaneda makes himself a bumbling fool, eager to please and impress people by being the best at everything. So, Tetsuo stayed home. He’s certain Kaneda doesn’t mind anyway. Not really. He has Yamagata and Kai to act as his wingmen, as well as that hot ride he snatched off the streets.
He decided to take the comfort of the grass outside while the busted vents made the apartment feel like the inside of a stove. He considers moving himself indoors, taking his chances with the heat by arming himself with a glass of ice water, when a car pulls into the drive. It isn’t an expensive car, so he knows it isn’t the rich bastards looking to get their bike back, but it is too nice for this part of town. Abandoning his game and the growing frustration toward his brother, Tetsuo watches as the vehicle comes to a complete stop. He isn’t expecting anyone because no one else comes around here. The landlord, a Scottish man who only rents the room out to Tetsuo’s family because his father is an old friend of his, only comes by once a month to check on the place. That would explain why the air conditioning doesn’t work, but not why anyone else would want to live here. Especially not someone who can afford renting a car that nice.
Tetsuo makes himself look interested in his game when a man steps out. He’s Japanese, broad-shouldered and young looking with nice clothes and neatly kept hair. He doesn’t seem like the type of person who would belong here in Neo Tokyo, much less deal business here. Even the rich politicians and the cult leaders have this sleaziness to them. He thinks maybe the guy is lost, probably looking to stay in Hanamura – if so then good luck, because he is comically far out of the way. But then the man pulls out a key card from the pocket of his pants and swipes it into the lock of a door a few rooms down from where Tetsuo is staying. The door opens with a gradual slowness, squeaking from its hinges, and then the mysterious stranger disappears inside.
