I'm not usually one of those people that complain about remakes, because i do think there are some cases where a remake can alter or improve upon an older film, but American Psycho? That would be like remaking The Shawshank Redemption, it's pointless, and its not even that old. American Psycho was a film that was perfectly executed, and by a female director, which is one of the biggest reasons why the film was as impactful as it was, she was able to put her perspective in it that a lot of men couldnt have. And to this day, some men view the film in a vastly different way than it was actually intended, and now they want to make a remake and have a man direct it? Who is this for? I really dont understand the reasoning, so it must come down to money, and its deeply depressing to think they might actually make a profit. Even if theres a chance i like it as much as the original, its still going to be a waste of money, time, and talent, that could have been spent on new and exciting projects, and that sucks man.
