Under the Lights of the Topsey Turvey Festival
To celebrate finally getting Rollo after 100 pulls and finishing my summer class early, I decided to finish this wip I started in February. This is a bit of a writing warm up to get me back in the writing spirit after six months of only writing academic papers.
Rollo Flamme x Reader
Warnings: Reader is overstimulated and has a panic attack. Reader is comforted, but the comfort is awkward and bad.
The lights of the festival illuminated your spot next to Malleus. You watched lazily at the people celebrating around you as you absentmindedly played with Grim's outfit. Grim was currently engaged in conversation with Malleus and the others at your table. The words flew by you, and you paid them no mind, only picking out a few syllables.
Bang.
You to jumped and stopped all you were doing. You looked up to see a barrage of magic nearby and the awed faces of the townsfolk, with your friends smiling satisfactorily. You went back to fiddling with Grim's hat, still slightly on edge.
Bang.
There was another one. You jumped again, but continued playing with Grim's hat, hoping to distract yourself.
Bang.
This time you flinched. You forced yourself to look up, and saw everyone's eyes on the magic. You could faintly hear the something akin to Grim's voice.
BANG!
That one was right next to you. You could hear a faint ringing sound that was only surpassed by your raging heartbeat. Grim ripped himself off of you and disappeared. The shouts got louder.
Bang
Bang!
BANG!
You stumbled out of our seat, and started rushing away from the noises. Your breathing was heavy, and you did not feel in control of your body.
Eventually you reached a quiet area. You stumbled against a wall and quivered onto the ground, pulling up our knees and hiding your face in them. Your head was foggy, only a foreboding sense of doom managed to penetrate the fog. Still, you managed to remember the number method.
Warily, you looked around. There was the ground below you, the smooth stone in various shades of gray. There was the decor above you, pink and purple triangles decorating the street, drawing your eyes to an unoccupied window made of glass and wood. Looking even higher up, you saw the towers of Noble Bell College in the distance, looming imposingly over the town. That's four. As if hearing of your wish for a fifth item, a pigeon flew down and landed a few feet from you and started pecking at the crumbs on the ground.
You closed your eyes and listened, already feeling better than when you started. You heard the cooing of the pigeon, the faint sounds of magic still being used. You furrowed your brow as you tried to force the sound from your mind. You heard pigeon coos, decor rustling in the wind, footsteps, and-
"Are you well?"
Your eyes shot open, and moved to the sudden sound. You looked up at the bowl cut in front of you. The sun shone behind him, creating a halo of light that surrounded him.
"Y-yeah," your voice wavered. "Its just... The loud noises scared me."
"Are you sure it was just the loud noises?"
You nodded.
"Ah, I see..." He held his handkerchief close to his mouth, before removing it and speaking again. "Do you desire some... appropriate physical comfort at this time?"
You looked at him and shrugged. "Sure..."
"Very well." He bent down close to you, attempting to hide a grimace. He firmly placed his hand on your back and started patting it in a firm fashion. "There, there."
You couldn't help yourself. You started laughing. Rollo moved back at your sudden convulsions, before sighing when he realized you had started to laugh.
"I'm sorry," you giggled. "Just the way you-"
Rollo looked on as you fell into hysterics again.
"I'm glad to know you're feeling better," he said curtly, and he started to stand up.
You reached out and grabbed his hand before he could leave. Calming yourself, you started to speak. "Thank you for cheering me up Rollo, it may have not felt that way to you, but it means a lot to me."
He stiffened. "There is no need to be gracious, I was simply doing my duty as a host. I can't have you leaving Noble Bell College with disdain towards Fleur City's festivities."
"Still, I appreciate it." You paused for a moment before looking around. "Did anyone else notice me leaving?"
Rollo placed his handkerchief against his nose. "I believe they were all too busy focusing on the magic."
"Oh..."
Rollo, hesitated, before removing the handkerchief. "If you would like, I can stay with you and insure you are well until the commotion stops."
You looked back down to Rollo's hand, which you had yet to let go of. Then you looked back at him and smiled. "I would like that, thank you."

Playing FMK With the Light Music Club, A Short Lilia x Reader Story
Warnings: Sexual themes up ahead.
"Okay, so I killed Teddy Tazbear, so he's your first option-" Cater paused, deep in thought. "For some reason I can only think of the historical figures Trein drilled into us today!"
"Just go for it," you encouraged. "I'll gladly fuck a Great Seven."
Cater playfully rolled his eyes. "Okay, Fuck Marry Kill, Teddy Tazbear, Magicman McFuck, and... Dread General Lilia Vanrouge."
Kalim gasped. "Oh, Lilia, that's also your last name! Are you related?"
"Distantly."
Kalim now turned to you and Cater. "Are you guys also related to a historical figure?"
"Not that I know of."
"I'm sure I am distantly."
"Okay, this is easy," you said, bringing the conversation back to FMK. "Kill Teddy Tazbear, Marry Magicman McFuck, and Fuck the brains out of Dread General Vanrouge. Regardless of how I feel about the war, he brought a lot of humans to their knees, so I'll bring him to his."
After laughing, Cater turned to Lilia, who looked oddly smug. "Wait, is he still alive? I mean- I know fae live longer."
"I think so," Lilia responded glibly. "I haven't seen him in a while though."
"Oh, so he's probably really old now," you commented. "So, I'll have to help him up from his knees, and use a few pillows to help with his joints."
"Wouldn't it hurt him though?" Kalim asked.
"Pain mixes into pleasure," you responded. "Each thrust sounds like when you kill Dry Bones."
Lilia laughed a little too hard at that.
"You know, Silver told me that he had a child," Kalim menationed off-handedly.
"Damn, so he's a dilf," you did the fuckboy face. "I'll make sure to knock him up with another one."
And then when the club dispersed, you and Lilia rode off into the sunset and had the nastiest sex imaginable. The end.
(A/N) I don't know why I'm on a Lilia writing kick right now, but Mod K's happy.

Lilia Reacting to You Serenading Silver, with a Twist
This is for Mod K because he was upset at constantly being misgendered in fanfics. Remember to either tag or let the readers know beforehand if there is a set gender, because its pretty shitty not to.
Reader's pronouns are not mentioned, but they refer to themselves as a father.
Listen along!
Today was NRC's talent show. Walking onstage after your name was called, you scanned the audience, trying to find Lilia. You locked eyes with him and smiled. He smiled back, his eyes holding the same mischievous light that you fell in love with. Next to him was Malleus, with Sebek at his side, and on Lilia's other side, most importantly, was Silver, who seemed to be nodding off.
You stepped up to the microphone and took a deep breath. A fifty dollar gift card to Sam's was on the line here.
"I would like to dedicate this song to Silver," you said into the microphone. You saw Lilia deflate slightly, before putting on an encouraging smile. Silver seemed to wake up, and looked at you in confusion. You turned to the MC and nodded for him to start the song.
You didn't let your nervousness get the better of you, singing well enough to get Vil's approval. There was no waver in your voice, no murmur, no note sang off key.
"And when our work is done, there's only one question I have for you~" You looked at Silver again, the confused look on his face had stayed throughout your whole song. But it wouldn't remain there any longer.
"Is your dad single?~" Silver's confused look left him, turning into an expression that let you know that he was resigned to his fate.
"Is your dad free tonight?~" Shifting your focus to Lilia you saw the mischievous look return. He nodded to you and gave you the 'call me signal.'
"The stars are shining, the moon is bright, as my and your dads souls unite.~... Let's save the earth."
You continued to pour your heart out through song, but took note of the faces staring at you in the crowd. Sebek had a look of abstract horror as he glanced between you and Lilia. Malleus was watching intently, looking at you as though you were singing a regular song instead of one that revealed your desire to bang his father.
You stopped your your impassioned singing and got serious. "We're emitting more and more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. The polar ice caps are melting. Global temperatures are rising at an alarming rate. We need to reduce, reuse, recycle every day."
You looked Silver right in the eyes. "Do you think you could eventually learn to love me as a father instead of just as your classmate?"
You finished out the song with the same passion you had throughout, and bowed. The crowd gave awkward claps, but you saw Lilia give you a standing ovation, so everyone else can go fuck themselves.
After the talent show ended (Vil won by the way), you and the Diasomnia boys met up.
"You did very well, Child of Man."
"Thank you Bitchboy!" You turned to the three other boys. "What did you guys think of my song?"
"Half of it was admirable," Sebek admitted through gritted teeth. "The other half was severely innappropriate!"
"Sebek," Lilia said in mock disapproval. "Wanting to save the earth is not inappropriate."
As Sebek stumbled over his words in a response to Lilia, Silver answered your question.
"I would've preferred if you sang anything else but, regardless of the content, you have a nice singing voice."
"I loved it!" Lilia said, ignoring Sebek's response. "I know you dedicated the song to Silver, but as a citizen of the world, I want to help you achieve what you sang about. Are you free tonight?"
You could see a look of horror, neutrality, and muted disgust in your peripheral vision. "Of course! How about I make dinner for us tonight and we can talk about it!"
The three looks shifted into relief.

Pranking Lilia with Silver
I love all the dorms, but I recently realized that I love Diasomnia a little more than I love all the non-Diasomnias.
April Fools Day was coming up, and you needed to prank Lilia at least once. There were a few difficulties standing in your way due to his super hearing and the fact that he's Lilia, but you were nevertheless determined to pull one over the old man. You thought about it and realized there were two people who Lilia thought would never betray him. Sebek and Silver. Malleus would go along with his first friend to quickly, so using him would be obvious. Sebek would never even pseudo-betray Lilia, so that left you with Silver.
Loitering outside of Horse Girl Club, you saw him leave with Sebek, which is not good for you. Thankfully you asked Malleus last night to occupy Sebek for a bit in exchange for an ice-cream party invitation.
So when Malleus appeared in front of his two knights requesting one of their help with something, Sebek jumped at the chance, leaving Silver behind and alone. Right where you wanted him.
You approached him in the hall of mirrors asking to talk with him. He allowed you to, so you tried to lead him to one of the dorms, where Lilia wouldn't overhear. Unfortunately for you, Lilia was perched above the Diasomnia mirror waiting for Silver, and he noticed you trying to lead Silver to Octavinelle.
"Hello you two!" Lilia popped up from behind the two of you, startling you, however Silver was used to this. "Why are you going to Octavinelle instead of Diasomnia where your dear father and upperclassman has made you a nutritious dinner?"
"I-"
"We're going to make you a grandchild," you explained. "It's a very complicated process, so leave us alone."
"Oh~ and when can I expect this grandchild?"
"We're aiming for next Tuesday, but you know how these things go..." you explained.
"I see~" Lilia looked at you with a very mischievous face. He then floated into the Diasomnia mirror, and you dragged the confused Silver into Octavinelle.
"You want to have a child with me?"
"That is not the point Silver," you explained. "I was just trying to get Lilia off of our backs."
"How are babies made? Lilia never told me."
You just stared at him blankly before getting to the point of what you wanted to talk about. Silver just nodded and nodded off, but he didn't say no to pranking Lilia. Even if you had to stress the bonding aspects of pranks.
"Do you have anything planned for the prank?"
You thought for a moment, because honestly, you didn't think you'd make it this far.
"How about..." you though about what you said to Lilia. "We pretend that you're pregnant!"
"What?"
"I can get you a positive pregnancy test- don't ask how- you can feign nausea and act more tired-"
"Is it even possible for me to get pregnant though?"
"Yeah?" you acted confused. Might as well make this prank a two in one. "Every human is capable of getting pregnant. Did you not know that?"
Silver shook his head.
"Are you down?" you asked, half-scared he'd say no.
"... Why not."
A week later, Lilia appeared in your dorm uninvited.
"Silver tells me he's pregnant."
"Oh, I'm proud he gathered up his courage, he was really nervous about it earlier," you said, looking Lilia right in the eye.
"He said you got him pregnant."
"Yeah?" you were going to give a Oscar worthy performance here. "I told you we were going to make you a grandkid. I thought you'd be happy."
"I changed his diapers, I know he can't get pregnant."
"... What do you mean?"
"He doesn't have the 'equipment' for birthing a child."
You started laughing. "Lilia, all humans can get pregnant."
He glared at you, but his mischevious smirk remained. "I've been alive longer than you have, and have used my time wisely, I know that's wrong."
"And how much of that time have you spent human?" You asked him. 'I mean, it's rare for an amab person to be pregnant because the patriarchy insists that they have better things to do than be pregnant, but it's always been possible. When Silver and I were discussing getting pregnant, I told him that I was concerned about being pregnant, what with all the overblots I fight, and he offered to take on the responsibility instead. You raised a gentleman and I honestly couldn't have found someone better to raise a child with."
You hoped the flattery would help your case. It did not.
"If you want some scientific proof, there are thousands of articles about it on the renowned online scientific journal, AO3."
Lilia narrowed his eyes. He was well acquainted with AO3, but if he said anything about it you could use it as blackmail, so he decided against it.
"Okay then, what's yours and Silver's plan for raising this child?"
"Well, it'll have to be by Silver's side for the first few months after it's birth, but after that we're thinking of having the baby sleep in Ramshackle, since I have the room and Silver has roommates who don't want to be woken up every few hours. In return, Silver'll have the baby during the longer breaks, and I'll have it during the shorter ones- I'll try and visit during the summer though. During Silver's apprenticeship I'll have the baby, and he'll have it during mine. We're not totally sure about after NRC, because we aren't sure about my job prospects, but if push comes to shove, I'm pretty sure Malleus will give me a job of some kind."
"And if I ask Silver, he'll give me the same answers?"
You tried not to look at your phone. Silver would have no idea of the plan you just made up on the spot. "He should. He may have forgotten though. Pregnancy brain, you know?"
Thankfully you have lied yourself into and out of worse corners in the past. However, Silver's honest to a fault. It's honestly admirable and really annoying when you need to rely on him like this.
Lilia soon teleported away, and you instantly grabbed your phone and texted Silver. You weren't sure if Lilia was the type of parent to check his son's text messages, so you played it casual. You informed him of his father and his questioning in a "weird right?" kind of way.
He texted back quickly, telling you that he'll try and get Lilia to apologize. Sometimes you wonder who's more like the son and who's more like the father.
The Diasomnia foursome ate dinner in silence like always, carefully avoiding the food Lilia brought to the table.
Silver mustered up the courage to say something to his father after how horribly the pregnancy announcement went.
"Old man, Y/n says you interrogated them this afternoon."
"Did I?"
"They said that you made them uncomfortable, and I think you should apologize."
Malleus's face darkened, upset to hear about an incident involving his best friend and his father figure, especially since he thought you two were on good terms. His mind flashed to all the soap opera moments, remarkably similar to the situation at hand.
"Master Lilia shouldn't have to apologize for anything!" Sebek yelled. "Clearly that human was in the wrong."
Lilia ignored the two other men at the table and faced his son. "I disagree. If anything they should apologize to me for what they did to you."
"Father, just because you don't like it doesn't change the fact that I'm pregnant with their kid."
At the news, Malleus nearly spit his coffee out, and Sebek started to choke on his food. Ignoring this, Silver went on.
"I know your disappointed in me for getting pregnant too quickly-"
"And for getting pregnant with just anyone's baby."
"- but Y/n and I have thought this through, and we've decided that despite our young age, we're ready to have a child. I hope you can come around to that eventually." Although Mr. Golden Boy would never admit it, you've rubbed off on him in more ways than one.
On the other side of the table, Lilia's eyes narrowed. Normally, he could read Silver like a book (at least he thought he could), but Silver seems genuine. He expected this level of enthusiasm and prank expertise from you, but not Silver. Silver, the boy he's raised since he was but a babe. Silver, the child he lovingly cooked three meals a day for, undoubtedly ruining his taste buds for good. Silver, the young defenseless child he confidently left alone for months on end to fend for himself against bears. That Silver was now looking at him dead in the eye, lying, for a prank. Lilia doesn't know if he should be proud or upset.
"... Okay."
Lilia then didn't say anything for the rest of the dinner. If you and Silver wanted to think you were pulling one over on this poor elderly old man, you were more than welcome to.
(A/N) Sat in drafts for two months because I didn't know how to end it, still not sure if that's the ending I want, but its better than me blabbering on for six months. Note to self: Always work with an outline.

If the TWST Boys are Self Aware, does that mean they can tell how we're feeling?
Knowing that you're stressed as you work on your homework or while on the job when you let them take lessons in the background.
Feeling the joy you feel when you get that SSR you've been aiming for.
Feeling the unbridled rage towards them when they bitch about not being able to have magic, while your Yuu has been talked down to and insulted for not having any BY THEM.

i absolutely LOVED that post with the twst character’s children making fun of them!! i giggled so much like a kid XD if it’s okay, could i request the children (lets call them “next gen twst” for simplicity’s sake) getting into an adventure or a mildly dangerous situation and their parents have to come rescue them, but with lots of humor? sorry if thats too vague or weird, i’m a huge sucker for these types of scenarios.
(Physical assault in Heartslabyul's part (non serious tho), broken bone in Savannaclaw's part, and an animal bite in Octavinelle. Also no Diasomnia is not longer than the other ones, what makes you say that?)
TWST Characters Saving Their Children
Heartslabyul
"This is stupid," Chip said, rolling his yellow eyes, as he leaned back in his chair with a huff.
"Yeah, it was self defense!" Nick exclaimed. "What did they want us to do?"
"I mean, the person getting harassed never threw a punch-"
"I have far too much class to do so," interrupted Rosalie. Personally, she would've preferred bringing this up with the school's admin herself, but she wasn't too upset with how it went down.
"So, it's not actually self defense," continued Felix.
"I mean, we're both red-heads, we're practically the same person," joked Oliver.
"Can you guys actually take this seriously!" Felix said. "My dad is going to kill me."
"Dude, just stay with me until your dad calms down," said Chip.
"Won't your dad also be mad?" asked Nick.
"No, I actually have a good reason to be here this time."
Just then the door to the headmaster's office opened, and the five some were shuffled in. There the headmaster, their fathers (looking disappointed and angry), the person who was beat up, and his parents sat in various chairs around the room.
The fivesome all moved to chairs next to their fathers. Rosalie sat down elegantly, acting unaffected as she smoothed out her damp skirt, and shot a quick smile to her seething father. Felix meanwhile, kept his head down, and nearly stumbled over the chair he was trying to sit on. This went unnoticed his father, because he was too busy worrying about what kind of child he raised Felix to be. Oliver then walked past the two worrying Spade's, shot a quick peace sign at his disappointed father, and then sat down. Nick was pretty much the same, although he shot the peace sign and smile to the guy they had just beat up. Ace couldn't help being slightly impressed. However, Chip, used to being here by now, just walked over to his chair and sat down, looking bored as ever, ignoring the disappointed looks being shot at him by his father.
"Thank you all for coming," the headmaster said. "Unfortunately I had to gather you all here today because Derrick was attacked by Felix, Chip, Nick, Oliver, and Rosalie-"
"Headmaster Tenniel, I didn't lay a hand on him!" defended Rosalie.
"Sure you didn't," Derrick's father said sarcastically.
"Headmaster Tenniel," Derrick's mother said. "Our son was just trying to eat his lunch, and then he was attacked by these delinquents-"
"Just trying to eat his lunch my ass," Ace broke in. "Nick always tells me how your son terrorizes the cafeteria every single day."
"Yeah," Chip agreed. "We wouldn't have beat him up had he not gotten violent after Rosalie refused to give him her lunch."
"He what?!" Now Riddle was angry for a different reason.
"Headmaster Tenniel, this is insane," Derrick's father said. "Our son has always been a good kid, he would never get violent with anyone."
"If you have camera's in the cafeteria, this case can be easily solved," Trey pointed out, trying to cling on to any proof that Chip beat someone up for an actual good reason.
The headmaster nodded, and got to work bringing the security cameras up. After a few minutes that the others spent glaring at each other, she brought up the footage, and requested that all gathered watch.
Low and behold, the footage showed Derrick talking to a very annoyed Rosalie, with concerned and annoyed expressions on the other boys' faces. Then, Derrick got closer, said something to Rosalie, which made her physically recoil, and made her face go red. She said something in return, and he moved closer to her, before grabbing her lunch container, and flinging it towards her, getting food all over her face, hair and outfit, and making the metallic box hit her face. While she tumbled back from the impact, falling on the floor in the process, Chip launched himself toward Derrick, with Nick only a second behind him. Felix also joined in, while Oliver rushed to make sure that Rosalie was okay.
At this point, the headmaster paused the video and looked to see Riddle's enraged face, Deuce, Cater, and Trey's relieved ones, and Ace's proud one. Meanwhile, Derrick's parents were looking sternly at him, clearly displeased with his actions.
"While that clears things up, clearly disciplinary actions are needed for Derrick, Felix, Nick, and Chip."
"But Felix was defending Rosalie," Deuce insisted.
"Yes," the headmaster agreed. "But violence doesn't excuse violence. However, you can rest assured, his punishment will be light, in comparison to Derrick's much heavier one as the instigator of the fight."
Now that it was clear that their son had caused the fight, Derrick's parents apologized profusely to the others and assured them that he would be disciplined at home. Finally, everyone was allowed to leave.
Savannaclaw
"Come on Wiley," Zenobia said. "The treehouse isn't going to build itself!"
"Aren't you rich?" Wiley asked, as he hammered a corner of the floor to a support beam. "Why can't you just pay someone to do this?"
"It's more fun this way," Zenobia looked up to Wiley in the tree, taking a break from making the future wall for the treehouse.
"Wiley, if you want to trade places, just let me know," Luella called up, before returning to building the fence.
"That sounds good," called down Wiley, as he started climbing down.
"But you were so sure that you wanted to-" Zenobia was cut off as the branch supporting Wiley's weight snapped, plummeting the hyena beastman 10 feet to the ground. Wiley instinctually screamed during the descent, until he landed with a sickening crack, which caused him to only scream harder.
Immediately Zenobia and Luella ran towards Wiley's crumpled up body.
"Oh my gosh Wiley!" Luella exclaimed. "Are you okay?"
Wiley did not respond as he was too busy being a blubbering mess, which is excepted when you've just snapped your humerus.
His screaming caused a disturbance on the palace's grounds, and caused three beastman to run outside to see what had happened.
"What the hell- oh," said Leona, immediately calming down once he saw his daughter was okay. Ruggie on the other hand, had a different reaction.
"Wiley!" Exclaimed Ruggie running towards his son's side. "Let me see the damage- Oh it's just a broken humerus. I saw that a lot at colla- I mean... when I had that part time job at the hospital. I was looking after broken bones, not causing them."
"What happened?" asked Jack, staring sternly at the two girls.
"We didn't beat him up!" defended Zenobia. "He fell."
"How did he fall?" Jack pressed.
"Well, we were building a treehouse, and he was setting the foundation while we worked on the walls and fences," Luella responded, a guilty look on her face, motioning to the half finished walls and foundation, allowing the fathers to notice them for the first time. "I offered to take his place, and when he was coming down he slipped..."
"Wiley is that true?" asked Jack, who was clearly being the only responsible adult in this situation.
However, Wiley didn't seem to be in a state where he'd be able to answer that question.
"Shouldn't we take him to a hospital already?" Leona asked.
"Ah, but woe is me," lamented Ruggie. "I'm but a peasent with a child that was injured on the Royal Family's property. How ever will I pay for his treatment?"
Leona rolled his eyes and said that he would pay for it, and they all went to the hospital so Wiley would stop crying.
Octavinelle
"Guys, hurry up!" Shouted Ambria, as she swam further down into the underwater ravine. Morado had first seen the ravine with his father on one of his mandatory nature walk/lectures. Once he got back he told Ambria and Coraline about it. Ambria was instantly game for exploring, while Coraline only agreed upon realizing that she was the only responsible one of the group and needed to make sure they didn't kill themselves.
"I inherited my dad's speed Ambria give me a break!" the octo-mer exclaimed, but nevertheless sped up as much as she could.
"What'd ya think we'll find here?" Morado asked. "My dad said there was a monster living down here."
"... A monster?" Coraline asked. "What kind of monster?"
"I dunno, he didn't say," Morado replied. "He just said it'd eat me if I got to close... but it's favorite food is octopus."
Coraline rolled her eyes, knowing that Morado was messing with her, but she couldn't help but notice the suspicious shadows at the bottom of the ravine.
"Guys!" Yelled Ambria, even further ahead of the other two than when she last spoke. "Come on! Why are you being so slow?!"
"I don't think this is a good idea Ambria," Coraline yelled back. "It isn't safe."
"Calm down Cora," Ambria responded, still yelling. "My dad said he came down here all the time when he was younger."
"You've met your dad before right?" asked Coraline.
The other two laughed before swimming off into the depths, clearly not taking her seriously. Coraline swam as fast as she could after them, not wanting to be left alone, but still feeling eyes watching her every movement.
Meanwhile, Azul was looking for his daughter. You see, a server had called out and he needed someone to cover their shift. But alas, he couldn't find hair or tentacle of his daughter, and was starting to get nervous.
Azul racked his brain, trying to remember if she said anything about where she would be earlier, and if he just forgot. Looking again in her room, he remembered that she said she was going to go hang out with the cousins today. Azul reached for his phone to call Jade.
Jade answered on the third ring like always.
"Yes, Azul?"
"Is Coraline at your house?"
"No," Jade responded. "I believe she is at Floyd's house with Morado and Ambria. I'm actually concerned that he hasn't come back yet." Jade sighed into the phone. "He knows how I worry."
"Well then, I'll call Floyd and ask him to send them home," Azul promised. "I'll have him text you when they're leaving."
Floyd didn't pick up the first, second, or third time that Azul called, but finally picked up on the fourth.
"What."
Azul sighed. "Floyd please send Morado and Coraline home. Jade and I are getting worried."
Azul could practically hear Floyd roll his eyes. "Ambria already walked them home Azul."
"When was this?"
"Like an hour ago."
"And is Ambria home right now?"
"... Hold on." Azul then heard Floyd swim through his house calling for Ambria, the longer he went without an answer, the more panicked he sounded.
"No," Floyd finally addressed Azul. "I can't find her anywhere."
Meanwhile, the three young mermaids were going deeper and deeper into the ravine. Shadows followed them, and seaweed grasped on to them as they passed. Still the two eels continued on unphased, while the octopus drew in on herself and kept close to the other two for protection.
"Hmm," Morado frowned. "There's nothing here. Maybe we shou-"
He was cut off by a squeal. The water darkened around the three as two tentacles grabbed the two eels and dragged them twenty feet away from the depths of the ravine. The two eels coughed and glared at the octopus who inked them.
"Gosh Coraline!" Exclaimed Ambria, rubbing ink off of her tail. "Warn us next time!"
"I didn't have time," Coraline shot back. "Something attacked me!"
"Coraline, there's nothing there," Morado said exasperated. "I lied about the monster, there is nothing down there-"
This time Morado was interrupted by something biting his shoulder. Coraline screamed again, but quickly grabbed on to Morado as the larger than average barracuda that lived in an underwater ravine for some reason, tried to pull him down into the depths. While Coraline was doing this, Ambria was clawing at the barracuda in a desperate attempt to save her cousin.
Despite these attempts to save him, the barracuda didn't let go of Morado. Thankfully, four more hands joined in and successfully pried the barracuda's jaw from Morado's shoulder, while another set of tentacles grabbed hold of the trio and pulled them up. Upon reaching the top, the two pairs of hands joined them. When Coraline, Morado, and Ambria looked up they saw their disappointed fathers.
"Just what do you think you three were doing?" Azul asked. "Why did you think it was a good idea to go into an underwater ravine unattended!"
Jade and Floyd were silent, but turned to look at each other, flashing their signature grins. Without saying anything they simultaneously swam back down into the ravine, and Coraline felt kind of bad for the barracuda that just tried to eat her.

"What was that?" asked white-haired Malik.
"My sick yoyo skills nerd," responded Aalin, who had just figured out how to do a trick on one of Malik's aunt's or uncle's yoyo that they had grown bored of.
"No, something on the bed moved."
Aalin and Malik got up and looked down at the bed. All was quiet, until something small on the comforter moved. They both leaned close and saw a small house spider run towards the pillows. Aalin blocked it off, making it run towards the end of the bed, before stopping, assuming it was hidden. Malik got close to it, admiring it, before it suddenly moved again, causing Malik to scream in surprise.
"Oh, I hate it when they move!" Malik explained once he had collected himself. "It always freaks me out."
By this time the spider made it underneath the covers obscuring the onlookers view. At that moment, a frantic Jamil burst in the room.
"Who got hurt?! What happened?!" Jamil asked, looking around the room for any blood, or broken priceless artifacts.
"Nothing happened Baba, calm down," stated Aalin.
Jamil looked point blank at his daughter. "I heard a scream."
"Yeah, that was me," Malik confessed. "I saw a spider."
At that moment, the spider reappeared on top of the blankets, and made direct eye contact with Jamil. All the blood from Jamil's face drained, and he promptly turned around and ran out the door, slamming it behind him. Aalin and Malik heard a muffled explative, before the door opened again, Jamil grabbed them both, and ran out into the hallway.
In the hallway Kalim stood confused. "What happened?"
"There's a spider on my bed Baba!" told Malik.
"It doesn't look like a poisonous type, but you know my dad," shrugged Aalin.
"Ah! I'll go take care of it then!" Kalim then opened the door, with Malik and Aalin following behind him. Kalim grabbed one of Malik's embroidered handkerchiefs, and nudged the mischievous spider, who had taken up residence on one of the pillows, on it. He then went to one of the open windows and shook the spider off. Thankfully, Malik's room wasn't high enough from the ground that it would kill the spider, so the spider lived to be pest control for another day.
"Cool." stated Aalin to fill the silence. "Uncle Kalim do you want to see a yoyo trick?"

"Aya did you bring the stuff?" Ophelia whispered loudly, and the three girls giggled at the thrill of hiding things from their parents.
"It's in my bag..." Aya spoke mysteriously before sobering. "By the way, I still don't understand why I had to bring everything."
"Because I was the one who found the recipe," responded Ophelia in a very matter of fact tone.
"And my dad is in my business so much you'd think it was his full time job," answered Antonette. "Besides your dad is the only one who doesn't pay attention to his looks, what reason would he think you had cinnamon and lemon juice for if not for baking?"
Aya rolled her eyes, but had a smile on her face. "Whatever."
With that, they started mixing their concoction together, before applying it liberally to their faces.
"Hey, what's this supposed to do again?" asked Antonette, looking up from her phone.
"It exfoliates, and is supposed to ward off acne," Ophelia said, taking a few photos of herself and her friends. Since their dads lived so far from each other, they couldn't see each other often. Because of that Ophelia insisted on photos whenever they could hang out.
"Why does it burn so much?!" exclaimed Aya. She was the least in the beauty world out of the three so she had no idea what any DIY beauty hack the other two brought up was going to be like.
"That's how you know it's working!" Ophelia exclaimed back. "Anyway, how's your lives been going since we last hung out?"
"It's whatever," Aya tried to ignore the burning of her skin. "I wake up, take care of the apple trees, eat, sleep, and then start over."
"Papa was gone the last two weeks on business so I was home alone," Antonette said.
"Sounds rough," said Aya.
"Not really, he leaves enough food and one of his credit cards so I can go out and have fun."
"Don't you live in the middle of the woods?" asked Ophelia.
"He leaves the car!" Antonette defended. "And the dirt road isn't that bad once you get used to it. Anyway, what have you been up to Ophelia."
Ophelia shrugged. "Same stuff I'm always up to. Dad was shooting a new movie last summer and he took me along to be his assistant."
"That sounds fun," said Aya.
"It's less fun than you think. Movie sets really drag on. By the way, do you guys know why your dad's are staying the night as well?"
"Papa said he would miss me too much."
"Cheaper than a hotel."
Ophelia shrugged in understanding, before pausing. "How much does your skin burn?"
"More than I expected."
"Very badly."
Ophelia looked at her phone and realized she forgot to set an alarm, she told this to the others and they all ran into her bathroom to remove the DIY face mask, only to see their severely irritated skin underneath.
"Ooooh, this is bad." Ophelia was the only one to speak, the rest were looking at their faces in horror.
The door to Ophelia's adjourning bedroom opened.
"Hey girls?" It was Epel. "When are y'all going to make the cinnamon and lemon juice dish? The rest of us don't know what you're planning on making so we need to know if we need to hop down to the store and get anything... Girls?"
The girls stood as still as humanly possible, but it was all for naught because Epel noticed the ajar door and opened it further.
"What in tarnation!" Epel loudly exclaimed. "What's on y'all's face?!"
The girls heard footsteps rapidly climb the stairs and run into the room.
"Oh, mon dieu!" Rook made a fainting motion when he saw the irritated redness of his beloved daughters face. Vil only stood there slack jawed.
"We make a DIY face mask and it didn't turn out the way we thought it would..." Antonette muttered.
"Yeah, and my face still burns," Aya added pointedly.
Vil managed to regain his ability to speak. "Ophelia Schoenheit, you-" he paused, collecting himself, seeming to remind himself that the consequences she was going through were punishment enough, before restarting his sentence in a more level way. "Always let me know before you try any home remedy of DIY, we don't want this happening again. Now you three come with me."
Vil lead them downstairs to the kitchen where he kept some Aloe plants, which he instructed the girls to rub their faces with while he looked for more items that would soothe their skin. While he did that, Rook decided to clean up the girls' DIY mess, while Epel used the remaining, non mixed lemon juice and cinnamon to make an apple dish to lift their spirits.

"You better be ready to bag like your life depends on it when we check out," Idia mumbled to his daughter, not too pleased with the situation she forced on him.
"That's fine," Eleanora shrugged in return. "I'm just happy I got you out of the house."
The two were getting groceries at their local supermarket. Normally they would pay someone to shop and bring it to them, but Eleanora saw this as a way to stop her dad from rotting inside the house, and Idia could never resist his daughter's puppy eyes.
Idia grumbled something in return, but Eleanora chose to ignore him. Instead her eye caught sight of a magazine cover with Vil Schoenheit displayed prominently. She picked it up and read the text next to the cover, before another magazine cover caught her eye. This one wasn't a respectable fashion magazine, instead a tabloid declaring that it had all the details of a 'scandal rocking the Sunset Savanna Royal Family'. Like before she read the text on the cover, before laughing.
"Apparently a hyena beastman child got pushed out of a tree by Princess Zenobia, daughter of Prince Leona- Didn't you go to school with him Dad?"
When she got no response, Eleanora looked around. Her father was not in sight.
"... Dad?"
The aisles of the supermarket went on and on. Despite only losing him for five seconds, she knew her father was likely miles away at this point. Nervously, she reached for her phone. She grasped at air. Frustrated, she remembered that she left her phone charging at home. She would have to find him the same way kids in the stone age had to when they lost their parents in the supermarket. Eleanora started on the hopeless journey of finding her father. Remembering that bread was on the list, she headed towards that aisle, pausing briefly at each aisle to see if her father was there. He never was. Upon reaching the bread section and not seeing her father, she elected to walk the width of the entire store in hopes of seeing her father in one of the aisles. She was unsuccessful. She walked along the length of the store and tried again.
Eleanora did this multiple times until she was in a part of the store she had never seen before. The shadows were long, the lights ahead buzzing but dim and flickering. As she got deeper into the store, she saw less and less people, and now she was totally alone.
She looked around trying to take in her surroundings and ground herself when she heard frantic steps behind her. Before she had time to turn what was running towards her reached her and grabbed on to her with a vice grip. Eleanora screamed, and the creature let go instantly. She turned around, ready to fight whatever had grabbed her when she saw the familiar blue fire hair of her father.
"Dad?" she spoke. "Why did you grab me?"
"I was hugging you-" Idia responded. "I couldn't find you for so long I got worried."
"Oh." Eleanora looked at the cart her father had next to them. Surprisingly it had everything on the list, as well as a glowing liquid in a gallon soda bottle. Idia followed her eye.
"It's an energy drink," he explained. "It's the whole reason I was back here in the first place."

"Okay, so we need dough, a tomato sauce, cheese, and any vegetables and meat that we like!" Aurelius said, looking down at the piece of paper he had prepared for this trip.
"Did your grandfather specify at all beyond that?" Asked Gwendolyn, walking next to him. Her three companions surrounded themselves around her, with two on her sides, and one following directly behind. At this point it was more out of habit than out of duty.
"Well, no." Aurelius admitted. "But, I didn't ask him to specify, I just asked what human foods he missed since moving here!"
"If we want human foods I can just ask my da-" The tallest of the group, Ebony said.
"No," turned down Genevieve, who was taking up the rear "I could ask my dad too. Since he's human anything he eats is human food technically."
"Do you guys want a delicacy or not?" exclaimed the exasperated Aurelius.
"No, we want it, calm down," exclaimed Genny. "We just also want it to taste good... By the way, Gwen. You remembered to tell your father where you were going right?"
"Oh, that's what I forgot to do. I'm sure it's fine though."
The rest of her group looked up to the cloudy sky in doubt.
Meanwhile at the Briar Valley castle, a harsh and unforgiving storm was thundering outside it's walls. The cause of which was being worriedly attended to by two knights as they waited for a retired general who had been summoned by the king.
"I swear, I can't get a moment's rest-" said the retired war general teleporting in front of the three men. "Malleus, I have a concert I'm looking forward to attending in two hours, so this can't take long."
"I don't know where Gwendolyn is." Malleus said, his expression being the kicked puppy look. You know the one.
"She is the second in line for the throne, so I understand your concern. However, she's probably with Ebony, Genny, or Aurelius and seeing what their doing, so we'll just have to find out where they are. I know Ebony's working today, but I'm afraid I don't know what he assigned to do..."
"Aurelius is also working today," Sebek mentioned, seeing it as his duty to add to the conversation. "However, he never answers me when I inquire what he's been assigned to."
"I forgot to check the calander today, so I have no idea if Genny's working or not," Silver added unhelpfully.
As soon as Lilia mentioned Gwendolyn being with her friends, Malleus summoned the head of the Knights, who appeared quickly as everyone wanted to soothe their lord's temper so that they could get on with their lives.
"General Andronticus, where are Genevieve N/A, Ebony Vanrouge, and Aurelius Zigvolt stationed today."
The General stood up as straight as he could and answered with respect, "They have all been stationed to protect Princess Gwendolyn, my Lord."
"..." Malleus's mood got worse upon hearing the news. "You are dismissed."
The general left with haste, not waiting for Malleus's mood to sour more.
"See, she's with Ebony, and I trust my boy-" Lilia paused thinking about his second son. "Actually, I don't trust him that much. This is a cause for concern."
"Yes Master Lilia," Sebek agreed. "And I'm afraid Aurelius has always been a slacker in his knight duties as well."
"Genevieve is one of the best knights this kingdom has, so I'm sure they're all fine," Silver added, trying to soothe the rest of the group.
"I know, I'll just call Ebony- oh there's no signal." Lilia had forgotten the lack of signal present in the entirety of Briar Valley. But Lilia shrugged nonetheless, not really concerned at the disappearance of his son.
"Master Lilia, aren't you also worried about Ebony being gone?"
"No, I left Silver alone for months on end and would've done it with Ebony too if his other parent wasn't so against it. Something about it 'not being safe' and 'a bad parenting move' whatever that means."
"But Ebony hasn't had that experience of fending for himself like I have."
"Oh," Lilia's face darkened. "Right."
While the others delved into a conversation about where their children could be, Silver, trusting Genny to be smart, absentmindedly looked out the window at the storm.
"There's a patch of clear skies just over the town of Forbidden Mountain."
"Okay, so we have some sourdough, some blue cheese, Genny got some oranges, Aurelius got raw salmon, Ebony got some noodles, and I have ice cream," Gwen listed out. "All we need is a tomato sauce-"
"Look at that stall up ahead!" Ebony announced, before reading what was on the sign. "Authentic human food! That's perfect!"
The four approached the stall and Genny and Aurelius walked up to the human in charge of the stall.
"Hello," Genny said. "Do you have a tomato sauce of any kind?"
"Looks like the only one we have right now is ketchup," the stall-keep explained. "Is that okay?"
"Sounds great!" Aurelius then handled the transaction before speaking again to the stall-keep. "My grandfather's human, and he said that pizza was his favorite meal before he moved to Briar Valley, so we decided to try making it ourselves."
The stall-keep looked at Aurelius and then at the jar of ketchup in horror. "I wouldn't recommend using ketchup as a base. We get more inventory tomorrow, I can give you a refund on the ketchup and save a jar of marinara sauce for you if you'd like-"
"No thanks!" Aurelius brushed off the stall-keeps concerns. "I'm sure it's fine, have a nice day!"
Genny just shrugged and walked back with him to the others.
"Alright, we can start to head back- what's happening?" As Gwen was speaking everybody in the marketplace moved out of the way, like Moses parting the Red Sea. Or like student's parting for the popular girls in every high school movie, whichever you prefer.
The foursome decided to move back as well when the parting came to them, as to hopefully see what was causing this strange event. To their surprise it was the arrival of their fathers.
"Ah, Gwendolyn!" Malleus said, now putting on his self-satisfied smile look (you know the one). "Why didn't you let me know where you were going? I though you had been kidnapped."
"I didn't think it was that big of a deal..." Gwendolyn said back, embarrassed to be even semi scolded in front of a crowd. "I brought with me three great knights, so I assumed it was fine."
"Well, one great knight," Lilia corrected. Both his youngest son and Aurelius shot Lilia a look, which made Sebek shoot his son a look, letting Aurelius know this will be a topic of conversation later. Aurelius immediately looked to the side instead.
"Nevertheless, a message from any one of you would be appreciated next time," Malleus went on. "Now, if you're done shopping, lets head back to the castle, there is an interesting bug I wanted to show you."

Credit Cards, Locked Doors, and TWST
I saw this:
and got inspired. I was literally jotting down notes on a piece of Fast Food Propaganda during work today from how inspired I was.
Heartslabyul
What an interesting situation you and the Heartslabyul gang have found yourselves in. One of Heartslabyul's pointless rooms which normally remain locked has to be opened due to all the hedgehogs digging a small hole into said room. The masterkey to all the Heartslabyul rooms remains in the dorm leaders bedroom. The bedroom whose door six people are standing in front of. The door that is currently locked.
"When you said you had a problem I needed to take care of," you said. "I thought one of your dormmates had overblotted. Please tell me why a child prodigy, a former-deliquent, an amateur magician, and two literal adults couldn't open a locked door."
"In our defense, Cay-Cay and Trey-Trey are barely adults," Cater pouted.
"And I never stole anything!" Deuce said before muttering. "From a house."
"Besides," Ace said, being annoying. "You've said you've opened a locked door before when you got locked out of your house for ten hours."
You sighed. "Alright, but I'll need a credit card. Riddle?"
Riddle begrudgingly opened his wallet and handed you the credit card, which you promptly pocketed.
"Alright, Ace, Deuce, break down the door."
Riddle
Not pleased.
If you're not going to help, give him back his card.
Trey
He's not mad, just disappointed
Has to hold back Ace before he gets beheaded again
Cater
He... He didn't have his phone out for that...
He can practically see the likes flying out the window.
His asks for the rest of the group to go through that scene again fall of deaf ears.
Ace
You'll split right?
Once you say yes, he is on that door and getting held back by Trey
Deuce
*Shocked pikachu meme*
In another life he would've been with Ace in knocking down that door, but unfortunately you've caught him in his 'good boy' era
He feels a little guilty, thinking that he might've influenced this behavior, not knowing that that's just how you are.
Epilogue:
Riddle shoves his hands in his pockets in frustration. He notices a strange object that his hand instinctually grasps.
It's the key.
Savannaclaw
Three sets of eyes looked at you as you franticly tried to open the door to Ramshackle. Leona wanted to nap in a nice sunny spot in the living room and not be disturbed, Ruggie wanted the rotisserie chicken you won in a raffle that was about to go bad, and Jack 'totally didn't want to spend time with you, he just wanted to get some more steps in' which was made clear when his tail violently wagged when you said he could join.
"Well, it appears we're locked out..." You said. "This calls for drastic measures. Leona, your credit card please?"
Leona took out his credit card and handed it to you. You slipped it into your front pocket and turned to Jack.
"Alright, Jack. Break down the door."
Leona
If you're a woman, keep it.
He has ten more, it's fine.
If you're not, he get's annoyed and will take his card back.
He doesn't want his mother to ask why he bought a bunch of stupid shit
Ruggie
"Hey, Y/n, remember your buddies in the broke bitches club!"
If you get to keep it. he expects you to buy him dinner.
He's just a poor overworked hyena, doesn't he deserve a little something?
Jack
Looks at you disapprovingly
His sense of justice is so strong that he won't get you guys in until you give Leona is credit card back.
Epilogue:
While all that's going on, the door, on it's own, falls off of it's hinges.
You look at your, now broken, front door.
"Shit."
Octavinelle
When Floyd asked if you wanted to go fishing, this was not what you had in mind.
You foolishly thought you'd be on a boat or by a river catching actual fish. Or hell, maybe even heading to a lobster tank and removing their restraints before grabbing them with your mouth or hands.
And yet here you were, in front of a random person's room, flanked by Azul and the Tweels. You figured they were going to deliver some retribution for a dine and dash, and Floyd wanted you to watch. The prey had ran into his room as soon as he saw you guys, and apparently locked the door.
"Okay-" Azul was disgruntled. "Which one of you knows how to open a locked door."
Jade gave a light laugh. "Do you not know how keys work Azul?"
"That's not what I meant and you know it," Azul snapped back.
"I can get it open, but I'm going to need a credit card," you offered.
"Alright, Jade, Floyd?"
"Oh my. It seems I've left my wallet back in my room."
"Nee~ I lost my card last week."
"Then who has been usi-" Azul took a deep breath, before reluctantly handing over one of his many credit cards.
You pocketed the card.
"Aright, Jade, Floyd, kick the door down."
Azul
Does the shocked sputter thing that he now canonically does
As soon as he stops, he tries desperately to try and get his card back, including by shoving his hands into your pockets, so maybe pocket the card in a questionable place, like a bra or held secure by your underwear like how strippers hold money.
That would make him hesitate.
Jade
"Of course."
Has a smile on his face the entire time he does so
I would also like to add that he knows Azul's debit pin, and while he won't tell you it, he will enter it in the card reader for you
Floyd
Does so with gusto.
Shrimpy's so entertaining!
Just make sure to buy him some candy afterwards.
Epilogue:
After they've sufficiently reacted, Jade and Floyd do as you suggested, and kick the door down. The persons belongings are then ransacked until Azul finds enough money to pay for the mirror and the cost of putting up a new door. Floyd entertains himself with the dine and dasher.
Scarabia
Dismayed, you looked up at the solid steel door in front of you. It seems like when you, Kalim, and Jamil went to check out the oasis, a steel door appeared insuring that you'd stay in the desert.
"Call me crazy, but I have an idea that just might work," You said. "Kalim, can I have your credit card?"
Kalim nodded and pulled out the card he used for impulsive purchases and gave it to you.
"Alright," you nodded. "Now Jamil, open the door."
Kalim
Nods and looks at Jamil expectantly.
I mean, do you really think Kalim would care if you spent some money on his card?
On the rare occasion of his dad noticing the increase of money being spent, he can just freeze the card.
Not a big problem.
Jamil
Glares at the two of you
"Give Kalim his card back."
Jamil feels like he's the only one with a working braincell.
That door is made of steel, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE CAN OPEN IT!
Epilogue:
Eventually, when the door continues to not open, you all get desperate and climb one of the rock structures to get back within the dorm gates. It's hard work, and you all lost 10 pounds of water weight in just sweat, but Kalim manages to keep your spirit up. Not Jamil's though, who only continues on because his hand brushed by a fly at the bottom and he didn't want to risk going back down.

!!IGNIHYDE SPOILERS!!
You, Vil, and Rook stood in front of a locked door at STYX. Behind the door was the answers you needed to get yourselves and the rest of the overblot crew out of here. You tried the door. Locked.
"Of course," Vil fumed. "Why make anything easy."
"I can break us in," You said. "I'll just need Vil's credit card."
"Well, I don't exactly have it wi-"
"Here you go Monsieur Trickster!" Exclaimed Rook, holding out Vil's diamond card.
"Thanks," you said, grabbing it. "Now Rook, please break down that door."
Vil
Plucks that card from your hand immediately.
He already gives you free beauty products and your pick of what his fans send him, he's not letting you run rampant with his card.
Generally not amused.
Rook
You continue to reaffirm his nickname for you.
He can tell you don't expect him to break down a solid steel door, so he just awaits further instructions.
(Appearently Rook is a computer in this scenario. You tell him to break down the door and you get a 2D error pop up.)
Epel
Why didn't you ask him to break down the door?
What does Rook have that he doesn't? Three restraining orders? A count of stalking currently being reviewed in the state of West Virginia? A glorified bowl cut?
He tried to break down the door as well and ends up breaking his big toe.
Epilogue:
In the middle of all of that, a sound catches all of your attentions. The door you were trying to enter opens, and an employee with their face in their notes exit. Rook and Epel pounce on the poor employee while you and Vil take the opportunity to run inside the room.
Ignihyde
"I don't understand why Crewel keeps the door locked," you said sarcastically to the two brothers with you. "I mean, what are the chances that an anxious shut in will try and break into his alchemy room?"
"Can we just pick the lock and get in?" Idia asked. "I need to turn in my homework, but I couldn't with all the normies around earlier."
"I mean, I can't pick the lock, but I can get us in," you explained. "I'll just need a credit card."
Idia, desprite to get this over with, quickly gave you his.
"Alright," you said pocketing it. "Ortho, kick the door down."
Idia
?! So not pog of you!
(I'm going to be honest, I don't really watch streamers, so I feel like I'm a 40 year old trying to fit in with the kids.)
He needs that card to continue his patron status of the podcast "Prime Example of Why Men Shouldn't be Allowed to Host Podcasts"
How is he going to buy all those figures with removable clothing that he's been eyeing up?!
Ortho
Gives you the angry Ortho look.
"I will be glad to Y/n, as soon as you give big brother back his card!"
Curse his justice sense that only kicks in when it comes to Idia
Epilogue:
"What are you pups doing?"
You all looked at Professor Crewel in all his 'BDSM, but make it fashion' glory.
"Idia has a homework that's due at the end of the day that he would like to turn in," you explained. Idia shot you a grateful look.
"Ah," nodded the professor. "Give it to me, and continue on your way pups. I can't have any of you getting rowdy inside the alchemy classroom and needing discipline."
Diasomnia
How the hell did you end up in this situation.
You and the foursome from Diasomnia were stuck in a tiny closet. You and Silver were almost connected with each other from Sebek trying to give Malleus and Lilia (as well as himself, but he only mentioned those two) room to comfortably move around in. Malleus and Lilia could both easily get out of here, but decided to pretend that they couldn't to get some extra bonding time and entertainment.
Noticing that the two well practiced magic users weren't going to do anything, you decided to get out the non-magic way.
"If someone will give me their credit card, I can get us out of here," you offered. Malleus, out of amusement wondering what you were going to do, gave you his, which you promptly pocketed.
"Okay, so Silver, Sebek... Break the door down."
Malleus
His net worth is in the billions so he's not that concerned
He'll have to get a new credit card since that was his only one though.
(Briar Valley doesn't use credit cards or paper money, just sacks full of gold coins, so he only got one when he came to NRC.)
Sits back and watches Sebek yell at you
Lilia
The card was in your pocket for one second before he stole it back
He has to be a good thief, that's how he got Silver.
He just stole a buttload of silver from a few merchants and then that silver turned into a baby.
Kind of like a Cabbage Patch Kid.
Silver
"It's not right to steal Y/n."
Like he didn't make out like a bandit with the cafeteria's supply of Mushroom Risotto yesterday
(He lives with Lilia, cut him a break there.)
Sebek
"HOW DARE-"
He would tackle to to the ground for the crime of stealing from the great and all powerful Lord Malleus, (long may he reign, may he torture all petty criminals with draconian...) however you are in a small janitors closet and he can't risk one of the brooms falling on Malleus.
Epilogue:
Eventually, Lilia and Malleus grew bored and teleported away, leaving the rest of you three alone. Silver decided to take the time and have a nap in place of potentially destroying school property, trusting that his father would come back for him eventually. Sebek then started talking about how this was obviously a test of character Malleus had planned for them and whah whah whah whaaah. Eventually someone heard Sebek talking and opened the door for you.

On the topic of you guys being shadowbanned, I figured that I would mention that for some reason I literally can not look up this account or any of your posts. I used to have to just hope I saw a post come up randomly until I eventually just saved a link to my notes app so I could check every now and then to see if you had new posts because I wasn't getting notifications. I don't know why that's happening, but I just thought I'd let you know the extent of the issue from at least my end because it seems like other people might be having the same problem. I hope it gets better!
First off, sorry I got to this so late.
Second, normally I dislike saying shadowbanned, because sometimes some posts pop off and others don't, but with how difficult it was and still is to find this blog, it definitely points to being shadowbanned. I even checked the blog settings to see if Mod K or I accidentally made it impossible to find us, but those options are switched off. :/
Our current plan is to just try and ride it out.
Thanks for your support and input! :)

TWST Characters Meeting Their Future Children
The reader is a parent to the children featured. It's up to you if its biological, non-biological still a parent, or if the reader just helps them out and is like a second parent. P/N stands in for what you would like to be called.
Heartslabyul Savannaclaw Octavinelle Scarabia Pomfiore Ignihyde Diasomnia
Prologue
Once upon a time, some random wizard who had nothing better to do that day, and who apparently had already mastered time travel and dimension hopping (or just time travel if you're adventurous), made a potion to do what they had already mastered. In the multiple dimensions they explored, they found that one magicless human had garnered affection from multiple very powerful men.
You had both princes, heirs, celebrities, and complete randos all wrapped around your little finger.
The wizard was impressed.
As the wizard was a fan of chaos, they used their skills to give their potions to four children who lived in various cities in the Queendom of Roses, and one who lived in the Hollywood of the Shaftlands. The potion was drunk, and the children disappeared from the room, right as one of their parents opened the door looking for them.
The messy room with a vial tipped to the side, it's bubbling strange looking prisoner pouring on the floor, was definitely not a good sign.
Heartslabyul
The five seven year old's looked at the confused and tied up Heartslabyul student. The other student had ran in the opposite direction the moment they appeared, so their captive would have to do.
"So," the lone girl said. "Where is Housewarden Rosehearts?"
"That's all you want to know?"
"Answer the question!" exclaimed the boy, who was the apparent leader of this little band of delinquents.
"What is going on here!?" shouted a voice. Turning the children saw the short stature of Riddle Rosehearts, along with Trey, Cater, Ace, and Deuce.
"Hi daddy!" exclaimed the ginger of the delinquent group, waving at the NRC students. They looked around, trying to find the father of this child, but were out of luck.
"I don't know why we're looking around so much, that's clearly Cater's kid," Ace joked. "I mean, come on, that's practically his clone."
"Ace, go help Deuce untie Chester," ordered Riddle. "Besides that's absolutely preposterous."
"About that... Trey, remember when I complained to you about how lame my unique magic was?" Chester asked.
Trey looked at him, clearly not remembering that at all. "Yeah, I remember."
"Well, it allows me to see the relationships of individuals as long as one of them is visible. Before I was attacked I was practicing my unique magic, and saw that they were your children."
"Dude... Don't lie," Ace said looking at the student with a deadpan look on his face.
"He's not lying," Trey said. "I remember he mentioned something about seeing familiar relationships and how it's useless in every situation... except this one clearly."
"So this child that tied someone up is actually my..." Riddle murmured.
"I am so so sorry!" Deuce apologized to Chester. "I thought I would've raised my son to not take after me, but clearly-"
"Your son was not the one who instigated it," Chester. "Trey's son did."
Trey turned his head in shock to his son, who suddenly found his shoes very interesting.
"I- I can't believe you would do something like this- What's your name?"
"... Chip."
"Chip, I am so disappointed in you. To think that you-"
"Calm down Trey!" Cater exclaimed, holding his son in his arms. "Chester's clearly fine, right?"
"Yeah?"
"See! Why don't we all just take a chill pill, forget about the potential hostage situation, and spend time with our future children! On that note, do you think that taking photos of our kids will mess with space and time, or do you think I'm fine?"
"I think you shouldn't take any photos just in case," Riddle reasoned.
"Aw, I guess me and-"
"Oliver!"
"-Oliver will just have to remember each others faces then :(."
"How did you say that last bit?" asked Ace.
By this time, Trey had calmed down, and told himself that he would hold off scolding his child until he actually had his child in the future. He looked at his child who was on the brink of tears, and his heart softened. He leaned down to Chip's level.
"I'm sorry I shouted at you," apologized Trey. "But I don't want to see you doing that again okay?"
Chip nodded, and the two hugged it out.
Ace walked over to his son. "Hey Kiddo! What's your name?"
"Nick!"
"Just Nick or is it short for something?"
"It's short for Nickel."
"Oh... well do you wanna see a super cool magic trick?"
At this time, Deuce was looking for what he assumed was his son, and we walked around for a solid two minutes looking for him before he realized that his son was following him.
"Ah! There you are!" Deuce exclaimed. "What's your name?"
"I'm Felix."
"And do you have another parent?"
"Yes?"
"Oh! Who are they?! Do I know them?!"
"P/n's name is Y/n, and I think you met them at NRC."
Deuce tried to say something in return, but all that came out of his mouth was a series of stutters.
Finally, Riddle looked at his daughter, he was proud that she was bigger that he was at her age. The thought that he managed to raise a child to the age of seven without falling back on his mother's controlling tactics comforted him.
"And what's your name?"
"My name is Rosalie Daddy. Duh."
Okay, so she had a bit of an attitude that pissed him off, but at least she wasn't scared to show some attitude like he was.
"Oh my god, there you guys are!" You said, finally finding your way through the maze of the Heartslabyul gardens. "You would not believe the day I've had. Every dorm I enter has children in it and-"
You looked up and saw the Heartslabyul gang, five children, and a random Heartslabyul student tied up on the ground.
"P/n?" called out Rosalie, causing Riddle's face to go red. Deuce looked at between Riddle and you confused.
"Ooooh- Y/n and Riddle are going to f-" Ace was cut off by Nick.
"Daddy, why does P/n look so stressed today? Did you prank them again?"
"I- uh- um- What?"
Chip ran up to you, and Trey followed behind to make sure Chip didn't tie you up.
"P/n-"
Trey stopped in his tracks, an undiscernible look on his face.
"- Daddy got mad at me today and I just wanted to find out where he and you were, and now I don't think he'll let me have a treat even though I've been really good today-"
"Okay, kiddo," you interrupted. "That sounds like something you're going to have to discuss with your father, not me. But I'm sure he'll give you a treat regardless."
Now happy at the thought of receiving a baked good, Chip ran back to his dad.
"Y/n, please let me remain in your life after graduation, because I need to see what happened play out, because this is messy!" Cater emoted, looking at you expectantly.
"Y/n does stay in your life because they're my P/n," stated Oliver, very matter of fact, all while looking at Cater like he was an idiot.
"... Oh my god."
...
"So, are any of you going to untie me?"

As the wizard was a fan of chaos, they used their skills to give their potions to six children who resided in the poor provincial towns of the Shaftlands, the palaces and alleys of the Sunset Savanna, and dark and cold waters of the Coral Sea. The potion was drunk, and the children disappeared from the room, right as one of their parents opened the door looking for them.
The messy room with a vial tipped to the side, it's bubbling strange looking prisoner pouring on the floor, was definitely not a good sign.
Octavinelle
Three young merpeople flopped on the main street at NRC. The sun was shining brightly overhead, drying their skin, which was so uncomfortable it was almost painful. The two elvers had finally gone limp, trying to avoid moving their dried skin, while the octochild of the group was using her eight 'legs' to try and move the two elvers into the shade casted by one of the statues. The trio had only seen other people when they first got here, and those people quickly ran off in different directions, forgetting about the merpeople who were unable to move much on dry land.
"You guys are too heavy!" cried the octochild.
"No, you're just too weak," joked the girl elver.
The other one twisted as much as he could to make it as difficult as possible for the octochild.
Thankfully, a rouge Octavinelle student happened to be passing by and heard the children. Not knowing what to do (other than throwing them in a lake), he picked them up, and trudged the three to Octavinelle.
Once at Octavinelle, he threw them into the pool to hydrate, and then went to go inform Azul about the three children.
"And why did you throw them in here?" asked an irrate Azul.
"They were getting dry, and where else would I take them?" the Octavinelle student responded. Jade and Floyd followed behind the pair.
"To Crowley. Now Floyd and Jade will have to do it during the dinner ru- Where are they?"
"I- I don't know! I know I left them in here!"
Azul felt his face heat up in rage as he looked around the room. Then, he saw a small black tentacle move behind a pool chair. He sped towards it, and pulled off the child clinging to the back of the chair, earning a squeak from the child.
"Get off of there. Those pool chairs are far more expensive than you even know-"
"Papa you found me!" giggled the octochild, moving her tentacles so she could cling to her father.
"Papa?!"
"Hey, Azul!" chimed Floyd. "Weren't you just telling us how rare octomers are?"
Azul jumped seeing just how close Jade and Floyd were to him.
"So you made some more? How interesting."
"I-I did not!" Azul glared towards the Octavinelle student, shootting a quick 'you're dismissed' his way before going on. "This child must be mistaken. What is your name?"
He asked the question to the girl, who looked at him with teary eyes as she responded. "Coraline Ashengrotto?"
"See, she must be one of my cousins on my father's side!"
"Wasn't your mom the Octomer though?"
"Yeah, I thought your dad was a sunfish." Floyd was laughing at Azul when a splash of water hit is back. His mood instantly darkened as he turned to face the two dark spots in the pool. Not paying any attention to the fact that he was still in his uniform, he jumped in the pool. A few moments later, while Azul was still lecturing at him, he breached the pool.
"Jade catch!"
Floyd then threw a laughing child to Jade who caught him. Before he could be questioned, Floyd disappeared again for much longer, before surfacing with a struggling elver in his hands.
"Azul, can I keep this one?!"
"No, Floyd!"
"But you never listen to Uncle Azul..." the girl in Floyd's hands responded.
Floyd brightened. "Oh, that's right!"
"Floyd!"
Jade laughed from beside Azul, watching as the male elver crawled circles around him. "You have to admit Azul, they are quite charming."
"They can be charming in Crowley's office."
Jade ignored Azul and looked down to the child who had just tired himself out. "What's your name?"
The child, assuming his father was pulling his leg again, answered freely. "Morado!"
"Ah, and the girl playing with Floyd?"
"Dad, that's Ambria."
"And you think I'm you're Father?"
"I know you are."
"Let's try that again," Jade laughed and then activated his unique magic, but got the same answer.
"I mean clearly that child is good at hiding things!"
"Typically five year old's don't have that ability Azul," Jade said now serious.
At this moment, you ran in the room, slipped on the wet floor that Floyd and Ambria had created, and fell on the corner of the pool, and then into it.
"P/N!" Yelled Ambria who struggled out of Floyd's grasp while he was in shock and swam to your side.
"Is P/n alright Dad?" Morado asked.
"I'm afraid I don't know," Jade responded, an amused grin set firmly on his features.
Azul looked from Jade to Floyd.
"Y/n is absolutely insane," Azul muttered underneath his breath, but didn't manage to make it low enough that Coraline wasn't able to hear.
"Don't insult my P/n," she commanded.
Azul bluescreened.
"Wait, all three of us?!"
Savannaclaw
Three six year olds stood in the hall of mirrors and read the names above the mirrors.
"Savannaclaw," the youngest one said. "That's where dad said he ruled."
None of the children spoke for a moment. Finally the hyena broke the silence.
"The only place he ever ruled- Bye!" He ran into the mirror and the two girls followed behind him.
The children walked around Savannaclaw for a while, taking in the sights and being stared at by the students there. Finally they found what they were looking for in a stressed hyena beastman.
"Daddy!" yelled the hyena cub as he ran up to Ruggie. Every head in Savannaclaw turned towards the two, as Ruggie tried not to drop Leona's laundry as this child climbed all over him.
"Woah-ho-ho, okay kiddo you've got to give me some space here," Ruggie managed to get the child off of him, before immediately running in the other direction. The children took off after him, but he had too much of a head start, and longer legs than they did, so they couldn't catch up to him. Still, they continued in the direction he went in, turning a corner to see a tall wolf beastman looking at a door in a confused way.
"What did he mean by childre- Oh," Jack said looking at the three children in front of him.
"Daddy!" The frilly dressed wolf pup ran towards the man, nearly knocking him over. Jack instinctually picked her up.
"I'm not your dad," Jack said, looking the wolf girl straight in the eye.
"Daddy don't be silly," she replied, very matter of fact.
"I-" Jack paused. "You know what, follow me."
Jack lead the children around Savannaclaw before reaching another door. He knocked.
"... What do you need Jack?" said the voice from inside the room.
"Uh, we have some visitors."
A sigh was heard from behind the door, and a few minutes later, the door opened.
"What the fuck?" Leona asked.
"Language, there are children here!"
"I know, that's why I said it," Leona looked down to the lion cub who was staring intently at him. "What's your problem?"
The lion cub gasped in fake surprise, then said very coyly, "I don't think P/N would like to find out that you're treating your daughter this way, Daddy."
"Daddy? I am not your daddy."
"Uh, yes, you are."
By this time the group of five had moved inside of Leona's room. Allowing that back and forth to go on, while the wolf cub asked Jack question after question about his life at NRC. Ruggie heard the commotion as he finally arrived to deliver Leona's laundry and decided to make it an in and out affair. Unfortunately, the hyena cub only let him put Leona's clothes down before pouncing on him from behind, sending Ruggie face first into Leona's (thankfully) clean clothes.
"Daddy, I got you!"
Ruggie only managed to give a thumbs up. After he managed to roll the hyena cub off of him, he asked the others "So, are these our kids?"
"No, they're not."
"I think they may be," Jack reasoned. "Because they smell like a mixture of pretty heavy magic and us. And, I don't know about you guys, but this wolf cub is a pretty solid match of what my sister looked like when she was six."
"In what world do I have kids Jack."
"I don't know your future life Leona."
"I mean we might as well find out their names," Ruggie cut in. "Right Ruggie Jr?"
The hyena cub rolled it's eyes. "It's Wiley daddy."
"Wiley... how do you spell that?"
Jack then looked at his daughter expectently.
"My name is Luella! P/n says it means famous warrior!"
"Oh!"
Finally Leona's daughter looked at her father and introduced herself.
"I'm Zenobia Kingscholar!"
"Where'd you get that name?" Leona replied with some light disgust.
"It's the name of a Queen who fought back against a powerful empire."
Leona thought for a moment before admitting that it was a name that he would agree with.
This was interrupted by you walking into the room, completely soaked. Instantly there was a chorus of "P/n!" from the three children. You looked at them, then at Ruggie and Leona's shocked faces, and finally at Jack's horrified one.
"... Not again."

As the wizard was a fan of chaos, they used their skills to give their potions to six children who resided in the depths of the Island of Woe, the glitz, glamor, and farmland of the Shaftlands, the harsh environment of the Sunset Savanna, and the arid deserts of Scalding Sands. The potion was drunk, and the children disappeared from the room, right as one of their parents opened the door looking for them.
The messy room with a vial tipped to the side, it's bubbling strange looking prisoner pouring on the floor, was definitely not a good sign.
Ignihyde
There was currently a three year old walking around the Dorm honoring the King of the Underworld, based on his spirit of diligence, and not, unfortunately for the young girl, his excellent way with children.
The few Ignihyde dorm members walking along the hallowed halls kept their distance. The toddler didn't let said distance dissuade her from her goal of making everyone she sees her friend. She was accosting a poor first year with her thousands of toddler questions when a mysterious figure appeared behind her.
Ortho was being the best character in Twisted Wonderland as per usual, when his usual scans picked up an unusual person on Ignihyde. Ortho went to go investigate and either get rid of a threat with one of his many death beams, or drag one of Idia's potential new friends to meet his brother. To Ortho's surprise, the intruder was a three year old girl with a strong resemblance to his older brother.
"Ortho!" Exclaimed the toddler question victim, clearly happy Ortho was here. "Help me!"
The questioner turned around and her face grew into a large smile. "Unca Otho!"
Ortho was taken aback by the use of the word uncle but tried not to show it. Instead he used his super robot powers to see if this toddler was related to him and his big brother. To his surprise and absolute delight, the toddler with actively on fire hair was a genetic match to being Idia's daughter. Ortho's niece. Ortho nabbed the three year old and went 50 mph to Idia's room.
Bursting down the door, the two saw Idia about to remove his sweatpants, with lotion and tissues accompanying a video on his laptop called "Schoolgirl Gets Destroyed by Tentacles."
"O-Ortho?!" Exclaimed Idia, pulling the sweatpants up to his nipples. "I thought I told you to patrol the hallways for ten minutes!"
"I did, and look what I found!"
"A bald child?" Idia looked at the two. "Why is a child here?"
Ortho looked confused at the toddler, who was now, in fact, bald. Her hair had extinguished when Ortho when 50mph to bring her here.
"She's bald now, but she wasn't when I first saw her! Big Brother, meet your daughter!"
"... Ortho that's not possible."
"Yes it is! I ran a scan on her when I first saw her and she is genetically your daughter! And she has magic residue on her, just like when you were doused in that potion when you were a first year!"
While Ortho and Idia were talking, the girl was recovering from the sudden speed, now she got out of her stupor, and flashed a smile at Idia.
"Daddy!"
Ortho smiled at Idia in a very 'I told you so' manner.
"That doesn't prove anything!" Idia yelled, just before her hair lighted into existence once again.
"... Shit."
Nervously, you walked around in the maze that was the Ignihyde dorm. Ace accidently dropped your phone while pestering you, and you needed Idia to repair it. You grip the candies you brought as a payment method, as you search for Ortho. Normally, the second you step into Ignihyde he finds you and leads you to Idia, so where was he?
Finally, you notice a familiar name on a door, marking it as Idia's room. You breathe a sigh of relief as you raise your fist to knock on the door. Ortho beats you too it, opening the door before your fist meets wood.
"There you are Ortho, I was walking arou-"
"P/N!" A random toddler ran up to you, as Idia's hair turned pink.
"Oh. Uh Hi?" You bent down to her level. "What's your name sweetie?"
"Don't joke P/N," she said, trying to hug you.
You obligated. "Humor me."
The toddler giggled. "I'm Eleanora!"
"What a beautiful name!" You looked up from Eleanora and at Idia and Ortho. "So, who's child is this?"
Ortho beamed, "Yours and Idia's!"
You looked over at Idia who couldn't make eye contact with you.
"... What."
Pomefiore
Three three year olds ran around the forested areas in the NRC grounds playing a game of hide and seek.
"Nettie?" Called the blonde little girl who was walking alongside a lavender haired girl.
"She chose a good spot," The lavender haired one said.
"Is she lost?"
"No. She lives with the trees."
"Not these trees. Nettie! You won! Come out now! Where is she?" The blonde girl looked around only to find the other girl missing. "Aya?! Where are y-"
Her sentence was cut short by a gloved hand covering her mouth and sweeping her away to the Hall of Mirrors, through a mirror, and into a dorm. Her kidnapper stopped outside a door and knocked. By this time, she noticed that the man also had Nettie and Aya with him.
An annoyed 'who is it' came from the other side of the door, and the blonde girl's ears perked up.
"Le chasseur d'amour~"
A sigh was heard, and then a muffled 'come in.'
The man with the weird name opened the door, to reveal a beautiful blonde man applying make up to a smaller lavender haired man.
"Roi du Poison, Monsieur Crabapple! Look what I have hunted in the woods!"
"Rook, I don't want to see any dead-" Vil paused upon seeing the children that Rook had brought to them. "Rook, this is even worse. Where did you find them?"
"Ah, but starving and lonesome in the woods!" Rook lamented. "Why the one secured on my back was unsuccessfully trying to hunt a squirrel when I rescued her!"
The three girls started to struggle in Rook's grasp.
"Don't they have parents?" Epel asked. "Their parents are probably looking for them as we speak."
With this, Rook bent down and let the girls escape his grasp. Two of them ran off to the two men in front of the mirror while the one caught hunting stayed behind.
The blonde girl walked over to Vil and looked up at him with expectant eyes. Vil looked down in disguised disgust at the dirty four year old.
"Hi Daddy," said the blonde girl, her eyes boring into Vil's.
"Do I look like-"
"Roi du Poison, that's it!" Rook exclaimed, catching Nettie, whom he was throwing up in the air. "They had a sense of familiarity that I simply couldn't put a finger on."
"Rook," Vil sighed. "I expected you of all people not to believe everything you read about me in those tabloids."
"Non, Roi du Poison! You can sense the magic coming off of them, so they may very well be our daughters!"
At this Epel looked at his daughter. "Marja?"
She looked at him weirdly and said. "No. Aya."
"Aya? Why would I name you Aya?"
"Nettie, what could that stand for?" Rook asked his daughter, looking at her dead straight in the eyes. "Antoinette?"
Antoinette nodded her head and laughed.
"Ah, magnifique!"
"And you are?" Vil looked at his daughter expectantly.
"Ophelia."
"Not a bad name," Vil decided to pick Ophelia up, in doing so he got a good look at her face. "Now, who do you remind me of?"
Just then the door opened with a bang, and you came running in ranting.
"You guys wouldn't believe what happened at-"
"P/N!" You were interupted by three little voices and a single 'You've got to be kidding me'
You looked up at the three toddlers and three men before you. The three toddlers repeated p/n along with a greeting.
"- I'm sorry?"
"Wait, so is future you just cheatin' on all of us?!"
Scarabia
Currently, two four year old's were running around the Hall of Mirrors playing tag, when one, having what he thought was a stroke of genius, ran into one of the mirrors at random. The little girl he was playing with, of course, followed him.
She was easily able to catch him on the other side, as he stopped running to just look at the dorm.
"Got you!" the little girl then ran off, but stopped and walked back to the little boy when she realized he wasn't chasing her.
"It's not fun when you stop," the little girl complained.
"Are we home?" he responded.
The little girl looked around at Scarabia with a critical eye. "No."
"But it looks like home."
"But it's not home."
"Ah, there they are!" Two men ran up to the children. "See Jamil! He wasn't joking when he said there were children running around!"
"Why are there children running around?" Jamil asked. "It's not a visitor day."
"Baba!" The two children said in unison, running to their respective fathers. Jamil pulled Kalim back, but Kalim just laughed it off.
"It's fine Jamil! These must be two of my siblings!"
"... Okay. Then what are their names?"
"Malik!"
"Aalin?"
Jamil glared at the two children, one of who seemed confused that their name was not already known.
"And where are the servants supposed to be accompanying them?"
"... That's a good point."
Jamil sighed, and turned to the two children and bent down to their level. "Where are your parents?"
Confused, the children pointed at Kalim and Jamil. Jamil sighed once more, and activated his unique magic and ordered them to tell the truth. Once again they responded the same.
"We're their parents?"
"How are they here then?" Jamil said, deactivating his magic.
"Professor Trein mentioned that it was possible, but extremely difficult to make someone travel in time, so maybe someone made our children travel back."
"... I'm surprised you remember that."
"You two!" You said, appearing through a mirror. You were out of breath, and to put it simply, had a difficult day.
Two little gasps were heard, as the two children clamored towards you. You looked at them with wide eyes as you took a step back.
"Hi, P/N!" said the boy.
"P/N, you look younger," said the girl.
"P/N?!"
"P/N! Jamil our kids are siblings!"
Jamil felt his eye twitch. First he has to stay in the shadows for Kalim, then he has to endanger his life for Kalim, and now, Kalim has a kid with his spouse. If only he hadn't fucked up winter break.

TWST Sanctuary Part 2
*Shows up a year late with hot chocolate, throws this on the table and then scurries off again*
Tag List: @batboob @gay-noodle-clan @nerdy-simp-7120 @thecurrator
(never done a taglist before, so I'm hoping I remember to add this in in any future additions)
Now that you've got the study subjects, it's time to introduce them to the house and each other, as well as the study. So, how do they react?
Intro: This is split into two parts, an actual story detailing the trip briefly the arrival, and then headcanons on how they react to the study, and what they do during it. Also this is 8k words. Have fun.
It was the day after you had visited the shelter, and you had a few hours before you had to drive to your appointment with the Draconia Institution. You already had everything checked to make sure they were up to par with your future draconia, so you weren’t worried about the living arrangements. Instead, you were looking over the email you had gotten from Idia’s previous pet shop. You had emailed them as soon as you got home yesterday, and thankfully they were able to get back to you. They confirmed that Ortho existed and was sold to the Red Cross Hospital, which was about two hours away from your house. Now you had the nerve-wracking job of contacting the hospital and asking if you could pretty please borrow Ortho for a two year study. You hoped your polished skill in writing grant letters would help you here.
After a little more than an hour, you looked at your finished email. It wasn’t much, just a formal request to borrow Ortho, and some information on your study, but you hoped it would do the trick. You pressed send, and then answered some other emails before heading off to the Draconia Institution to pick up your first pet.
After thoroughly learning everything there is to know about gargoles, you and dragon hybrid arrived at the mansion. Looking over at Malleus as you helped him out of the car (trophy pets 🙄), you noticed him staring down the house, eyes focusing on specific parts of the mansion exterior. You led him into the foyer and sat him down where he smiled at you like he had perfected your murder plan. Nevertheless, you explained the situation.
“For the next two years, you and many other pets will be under my supervision in order to see how you and the other pets act in an environment devoid of humans. Well… I’ll be there, but just treat me as you would treat any other pet. Everyone is equal here.”
Malleus noticeably dulled, looking disappointed and sad, vastly different than before you told him about the study.
“I see…” Lightning flashes outside. So that was the elemental emotions that was mentioned on the website. You went over what you said in your head trying to find where you went wrong. Eventually you found what might’ve set him off.
“... Of course, if after two years you want to stay, I’d be more than happy to arrange that. This house is awfully big after all, I could use the company.”
And like that, the storm was gone. You led Malleus to the second floor and allowed him to pick a room.
“How many pets will be arriving?” He asked as you set his luggage on the floor.
“Oh, lets see…” you counted on your fingers. “28 to 29, including you.”
‘Ah,’ Malleus thought. ‘What a strange new owner I have. Nevertheless, I will overcome this challenge and soon be the most popular pet here. Just like that one teenage customer talked about when she came to see me with her parents!’ (She was talking about Twisted Mean Girls btw. You know, “On Mondays we wear purple?”)
A few days later, and one day after the alleyway incident, you woke up in your bed, opened your eyes, and saw two red orbs staring without blinking into your eyes. Obviously you screamed, and moved backwards in bed, and only then did you notice the pet who was laying right next to you. You once again screamed, but was silenced by a hand over your mouth.
“That wasn’t a very nice welcome,” the bat bitch from the alleyway said. “And after we traveled all night to get here…”
You looked over and saw the other pet, a koala hybrid, Silver next to you, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. As soon as he realized what was going on, he moved the other pet's hand from your mouth.
“Now that we’re going to leech off of you for the next two years, you should probably know our names! The boy next to you is Silver, and I was given the name Lilia!”
“Okay…” you looked at the man who broke into your house. “Can I give you the name Creepia instead?”
The fae pet laughed. “No.”
The door to your bedroom slowly creeped open. You really needed to get that fixed. You looked over to the door and saw the silhouette of Malleus.
“I heard a scream,” he said, staring daggers at Lilia and Silver. Guard Malleus was activated. Thank god he was here to show up late to a potential kidnapping situation.
“Oh! And you are?” Lilia exclaimed, rushing to examine Malleus with clear excitement. “Silver, we are going to have so much fun.”
“Father, no.”
Malleus got along with Silver and Lilia like a house on fire. Silver and Lilia chose to clean and help around the house, while Malleus preferred to just assist occasionally. Lilia cooked one (1) meal, and was swifty banned from the kitchen, so you and Silver cook the most now.
One day before the study was set to start, a nice rented van was driving down an isolated forested road. In it were seven beautiful pets and a human driver.
Vil looked at the sorry sight behind him. The Diamond’s were chit-chatting, talking about this and that, Kalim was-
“Kalim, fix your ear!” Vil stared in disgust at Kalim’s ear which had been folded back. Kalim jumped in surprise, before his hands went to his ears. Upon finding the right one out of place, he fixed it and smiled at Vil.
“Thanks Vil! Gotta look my best right?”
Vil nodded and turned his attention to the two who were glaring at everything in the world. Hair already unkempt, clothing wrinkled, a scowl decorating both of their faces, all but asking for premature wrinkles. Now Vil wasn’t stupid. He knew that you had purchased all of them. This rented van was different from the limo that he knew the Menagere usually used. Vil himself even went in said limo when he was adopted, before being returned for being “too high maintenance.” Whatever. If you expect a low maintenance pet, get a housepet or a stray, not the Vil Schoenheit. Regardless, Vil only hoped that you would have people to take care of the two slackers at your house, but worried about how he would appear if five gorgeous pets stepped out of the van along with two pets that looked like they’ve never heard of a hairbrush before.
Vil got out his pocket mirror to make sure he was looking flawless as always. In the background, he could see Epel staring out a window, Leona sleeping, and Cece’s hand slowly moving to Kalim’s head. Kalim, who was busy talking to Cater, was completely oblivious as she flipped his ear back. Sighing Vil resolved to let Kalim know when they got to wherever they were going, better than wasting both of their times when his ear is just going to continue to be flipped.
Leona couldn’t believe he was in this situation. He was minding his business, sleeping at the Menagre, picking the occasional fight, and now he was in a car with Vil. A pet with a golden stick embedded so far in between his bedazzled buttcheeks, Leona was surprised he didn’t see it when Vil talked. He also had this punk kid sitting beside him who added on or imitated him whenever Vil practically begged to argue with Leona.
Leona started slowly kicking Vil’s seat, and watched Vil’s shoulder tense up with each kick. Epel watched the vein on Vil's pristine, acne free forehead grow with each kick, but quickly got bored when Vil made it obvious that he wasn't going to do anything. Instead Epel started thinking about where they all were going. He knew about the study of what trophy pet is the best, yadda yadda yadda. Okay, so maybe he didn't pay much attention, but it was boring nerd junk that he thought wasn't relevant to his life. He frowned as he thought about his new life as a "trophy pet" and how he'll be expected to act perfect so as to not interfere with the study.
'Oh, I'll give them something to study…' he thought. Just a heads up, most of his ideas involve your house reeking of ammonia.
Next to the thinking pet was a pet who was not thinking whatsoever. Kalim was just vibing, listening to the radio, looking out at the sights as they got farther and farther away from the city. He remembers you. You were different from most of the menagerie customers. A lot of them find him annoying and rarely talk with him, yet you were delighted to talk to him. Also your clothes screamed poor, which is something he didn’t even see in the workers. (The workers had to wear black tie professional outfits as required by the menagerie.) But regardless, he was looking forward to being in your care! He just hoped you wouldn’t give him up before the trial period even ended like all the other prospective owners had.
Cece giggled as she looked at her handiwork. She decided to try her luck, and moved her hand to Kalim’s other ear. Cater side-eyed her, but said nothing to Kalim who seemed to be zoning out. Right when she touched Kalim’s ear, it flicked, causing her to hastily retreat her hand. As Kalim started to look around (apparently for a bug), Cece made herself look innocent, and stared out the window. As she waited for Kalim’s guard to be down once again, she got to thinking about what she was about to experience.
Like what did you mean by ‘human environments?’ Most pets lived in human environments like cities, houses, and apartments, although the last two were exclusively for if those pets had an owner. Maybe you would have them get jobs like the humans who worked at the menagerie? But they looked so sad all the time and complained about being underpaid! Cece thought that she would rather just look pretty than have to do what housepets and humans did all day. That just sounds bo- Kalim is distracted again! Cece’s hand started inching back to Kalim’s ear.
Cater watched Cece successfully flip Kalim’s other ear over. He would think it was funny, but he was a bit distracted by Cece’s weight as she had to lean over on Cater to get to Kalim’s other ear.
Cater then goes on a 10 minute rant about the piss poor house customization options in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with Cece still on top of him. (Trust me I have a brother, they’re all like this.)
“You’re literally breaking my legs, get off!” Cater pushes Cece off of him, she dramatically falls to the side as if she’s been shot. Now that all of Cece’s weight isn’t concentrated on one spot, Cater can think about the situation he’s in.
First, he likes the thought of no longer being in that menagerie, but going to a new place is stressful. Second, he hates that he’ll have to compete for attention with other pets like he’s been doing for his whole life, but he’s glad that he’ll be able to slip into the background sometimes. Thirdly, he’s glad that he can still be in contact with his sisters, something he wasn’t able to get with his parents, but at the same time, he would like to form his own identity away from them. Finally, he doesn’t know what to expect from the study he’s about to go into. He’s heard about pets being tested before humans for some products and the horrible results, but at the same time, you spoke to him with no visible feeling of superiority or pity. He doesn’t know if that’s just a front to make him comfortable before scientists tear him limb for limb, or if you generally mean well. He has heard of the up and coming movement for pets rights after all.
TL:DR, Cater has a lot of conflicting feelings.
Dew looked at her little brother. He was quiet. Never a good sign. She poked his arm.
“You okay?” she asked, her voice quiet so as to not let the other pets overhear her and Cater’s conversation.
“Yes!” Cater said, back in Cay-Cay mode. “Why do you always ask that?”
“Wait, has Cater been acting off?” Cece joined in the conversation.
“No!”
“Yes.”
“Everything’s fine!” Cater explained. “We’re all getting adopted together, why would I not be okay?”
“If you say so…” Dew dropped the subject, figuring that if Cater wasn’t going to talk about it, there was no use prying. Instead she took the time to think over her own feelings. She knew about the study, and she knew that’s why she was in this van. Honestly, she wasn’t used to being driven outside of the menagerie. The closest she got was the sibling trophy pet fad that was popular for a month last year, and even then, her lack of charisma was the reason her, Cece, and Cater were still at the menagerie night after night. Dew was grateful to be able to remain with her siblings for another two years, because she knew otherwise they would be separated, with Cece and Cater going off to be some rich person's living decor, and she would be demoted to a housepet. Such was the life she imagined for herself.
"Can you stop it! You're acting like a child!" It seems like Vil finally decided to stop ignoring Leona. Leona kicked harder. Vil turned around in his seat, seething.
“If you don’t stop-”
“All of you stop!” yelled the driver. “None of you talk, touch, or interact with each other at all for the rest of the trip!”
When the van got there, you were there to greet your first van load of pets, increasing the amount from three to ten. You set up the entryway to include a small temporary stage, which you stood on as you introduced the pets to yourself and the study, with Malleus, Lilia, and Silver behind you.
“Hello assortment of Trophy pets!” You exclaimed looking down at the trophy pets with a smile. “My name is Dr. (Your First and Last Name), and thank you for participating in my study. It’s a two year long study on pet behavior. I’ll go over some rules-slash-expectations!
“Number one, you are required to fill out a survey every once and a while, please treat me as you would treat any other pet. I’m trying to study pet behavior so just do what feels natural, and let me know if you need anything.”
You shot them a joyful smile. “Okay, so before this study starts, I’ll need you to fill out a form that goes over things like what you will need and whether or not you would like to share a room! Your official room arrangements will be finalized tomorrow!”
That was done, each pet was given a temporary room while you ordered the necessities the pets needed, most of which being Vil’s beauty and makeup supplies.
The next day, two more vans traveled down the same road.
It seems like the pets really knew how to have fun because there was seat kicking in this van too. In particular, Ace was kicking Riddle’s seat as Riddle lamented his current conditions.
Riddle was in between the two eel merpets. The one on his right was constantly pestering him, while the one on his left seemed content to watch. At least the wolf pet in the back managed to stop Ace from kicking his seat more. Riddle could not wait until they got off at their stops, or he got off at his. Because, clearly they weren’t all going to the same place right? I mean they all got moved to the cages in the back at the same time, but it must’ve just been a busier day! And all the new owners just happened to want them delivered on the same day! Now that Riddle was actually thinking about his situation, it was finally dawning on him how his new life is going to be. Stuck disciplining pets while juggling cleaning, cooking, and anything else his owner desires from him. But, regardless, Riddle will make it through this. You may choose to return the more annoying pets after the trial, and then his life will be easier. And even if they remain, his mother instilled discipline and capability in him so he will handle it.
Pouting, Floyd stopped poking Riddle. It was no fun when the person you were pestering was lost in thought.
“Don’t pout Floyd,” Jade said consolingly. “You’ll have plenty of time to have fun with him later.”
While they weren’t explicitly told, the twins knew exactly what was going on. While pestering other pets, especially the companion pets when they were trying to do their work, typically got the twins in trouble (or more accurately, Floyd in trouble), they didn’t think that that would be a problem this time. Floyd was looking forward to playing with all the pets he had limited access to in the Pet Store, and all the fish in the lake you mentioned were nearby. For the former, he was already making mental notes and plans for what to do to get the most fun reaction.
Meanwhile, Jade, sensing that Floyd was done for the time being, looked out the window at the plant life present. Fascinated, he started counting all the plants and wildlife he’s never seen before. Being kept in that cage didn't allow him to get out and into nature much. Besides, whenever he left the pet store, he was taken into the city or into the suburbs, which didn’t have the variety of nature he was seeing just outside the van window. As you mentioned a lake, he knew he’d be around nature, he just hoped the forest would still be close enough for him to explore whenever he had free time, assuming Floyd wasn’t being entertaining. Ah well, that was a nice break, back to the grind.
Azul frowned as he realized the quieter eel pet was staring at him again. He was seated right in front of Azul, so it was unlikely that he was just zoning out and just happened to look at him, not with how his torso was almost a perfect 180. Of course Azul was making it easier for Jade considering he was pressed up so close to the window that his left buttcheek wasn’t even on the seat, but still. You’d think Azul would be used to this considering it happened every night at Algea, but one can never get used to another's eyes on you, especially if you’re as shy as Azul is. Azul started calculating the chances that all the pests in this van were going to the same place, and the chances were pretty high. So, he started scheming.
In order to not be returned, he had to prove himself useful. Riddle and Jade were his biggest competition. Or, at least, Jade would be if he hadn’t been returned to the shop on 16 separate occasions. Safe to say, Jade’s out of the running. Now, Riddle’s a good worker, but he has a temper. Surely if Azul were to rile him up, Riddle would lose it and punish Azul without your permission. Surely that would get you to return him!... Unless of course you already decided to allow Riddle to punish the pets for you! Azul must then work hard to ensure there is no favoritism towards Riddle, he may not be able to surpass him on his own, but if he can make a few deals… I mean look at some of the other’s in this car, surely he can force Ace to do some work. Surely he’s hiding something for Azul to exploit-
“Dude, you know we can hear you right?” Azul turned horror stricken to the pet next to him.
“None of your evil plans will work out if you keep blabbering about it all the time.” Damn, Ace was right. Back to the drawing board.
Ace rolled his eyes. Getting to be in the study was something he was looking forward to, but then you had to invite all these weirdos. Like Riddle?! Riddle?! You need to get better taste in test subjects. He’ll have to bring that up with you when he gets to your house. How long was it going to take to get there anyway? No one in this van is particularly talkative, unless you’re that freak next to him talking to himself. And the other pet next to Ace only seemed interested in talking to him when he wanted him to stop kicking Riddle’s seat. This is so lame…
Jack was deep in thought about what he was about to experience. He had never had a trial period before. Really the only pets that had were the twins, but Jack knew asking Floyd about it was a bad idea, as Floyd was returned not even two hours later.
“Jade, what’s a trial period like?”
“Hmm?” Jade looked up at Jack and smiled. “Well, you just go to the potential owner’s house and stay there for a week.”
Jack already got that. That was the most basic explanation Jade could’ve possibly given.
“I knew that, I was looking for specifics.”
“It’s when Jade leaves me alone for a week to go play butler to some lame family.” Thank you for the input Floyd.
Jade chucked at Floyd’s input. “I can’t say what it’s like for a housepet, but I would go over, meet those who were testing me out, cook and clean for them, sometimes even act as a secretary. Really learn all about them: their likes, dislikes, what makes them tic, any allergies so I can-”
Jade paused, looked at the Algea employee who was driving the van, and then turned back to Jack. “- perform my duties to the best of my abilities. Does that help?”
“Yes, thank you,” Jack said quickly. He should’ve known asking Jade was a bad idea.
Meanwhile at the front of the van, Sebek sat holding a map. He had already spent the entirety of his time in the back of Algea thinking about what to do during his test run, as he didn’t think that Algea would dare put him down. So now he sat, focusing on both the roads branching off of the one the van was on, and the map showing directions to your mansion. The Algea worker muted their map feature on their phone, to give him the satisfaction of being helpful. Surely his new owner will see his willingness to help and decide right then and there to keep him!
“Turn right on the next road!”
Behind that van was another with another Algea employee driving. In the back a green haired pet sat, looking grim. A while ago, he and his siblings were pulled from the display cages they were normally in. As Trey was an observant pet, he knew that pets were only ever pulled to the back to either await a planned adoption, or if they were deemed unadoptable, which typically led to being put down. Trey may not have thought highly about how pets were treated, but he hoped that putting down a seven year old pet was at least considered to be too cruel. Still, Trey had a shred of hope. He remembered you, and knew that they were placed in the back after your visit. So he knew that their destination was either going to be a dream or a nightmare.
“Gah- Tara!” Trey exclaimed as he moved his little sister back to her seat. Tara had taken to climbing all over Trey so she could see out the window better. “It’s just forest, nothing has changed in the last 15 minutes.”
“To you!”
This was the first time Tara could remember seeing the outside world. When they were transferred to Algea from where they were before, it was in a windowless van, and every time a pet-specific doctor was involved, they always came to the shop. So everything outside of the van was new to Tara, and she couldn’t get enough.
Next to Tara, Tate sat staring out the window. Tara knew that Tate wasn’t as lenient as Trey was, and was a lot more willing to hit his siblings, so he didn’t have to deal with her scrambling all over him like Trey had to. Tate was bored. He and Tara were forced in the back by Trey because they weren’t as ‘mature’ as Todd and Toby, and needed ‘supervision’ to not get into ‘trouble.’ Whatever. Trey just doesn’t understand the genius of his pranks. They’re not annoying, they are funny and appealing to potential owners! Who wouldn’t want a funny pet! At least the ride gave him the opportunity to think up some new ones he can do when they all get there.
In front of Trey was the middle child of the family, Toby. Like Tate, Toby was sitting in silence. He had been talking to Todd, until they got in the van, when Todd suddenly shut up. I mean, Toby knew why Todd got so silent, but it was lame, so he was still annoyed. Trey didn’t seem in the mood to hold a conversation, Tara is Tara, Tate is too far away, he doesn’t know the other two pets in the van, and the driver won’t respond well if Toby even tried to start up a conversation. So, alas, Toby was alone, and thinking, which was never good.
Toby knew why Trey wasn’t in the mood to talk, but to be honest, he thinks Trey is making a mountain out of a molehill. Clearly they were just adopted by someone who has a fascination with pet families. He’s sure if his parents were at Algea as well, they would also be on their way as well. But unfortunately he last saw his parents five years ago, and doesn’t even know if they’re still alive…
And that’s why Toby doesn’t like to be alone with his thoughts.
While Toby was regretting being given the ability to think, Todd was barely able to think. You see, there was a pretty girl next to him. All concerns about where they were going, all words that were being spoken by any of his siblings, disappeared the second she sat next to him.
She was a beautiful snake pet, her patches of scales gleamed in the sunlight with her ebony hair falling over her standard Algea pet uniform beautifully. Her black eyes looked disinterestedly around the van before falling onto him.
Todd instantly flushed and looked down to his shoes.
Najma looked at the guy who had been staring at her for the past 15 minutes. He was kind of cute with his circular mouse ears all red, but Najma wasn’t the biggest fan of being ogled at. She sighed and looked out the window again. She wasn’t sure if she should be happy or not that she was likely going to be adopted with her brother. Because on one hand, better than losing him, but on the other, he’s Jamil. He’s probably going to pester her for the rest of eternity. She can already hear him:
“Najma no-”
“Najma, wrong ingredient!”
“Najma tea is served at a 45 degree angle, not a 42!”
Blah blah blah blah blah.
Jamil glared at Najma, sensing that she was thinking something bad about him. Najma only smiled innocently back, so Jamil scoffed and turned back to the front. He was in shotgun, which he fought tooth and nail with Najma for. Sitting in front was a first for Jamil. Normally he was in the back of a family's SUV as they took him home for the trial run, so sitting in front, and being driven by an Algea employee to their destination was a new experience. Originally he had the same thoughts as Trey, but reasoned that they probably wouldn’t have been so taken care of had they been scheduled to be put down. So the worst case scenario… well the worst case scenario is that they’re all dropped off at an abusive household. But the second worse case scenario is that they get taken to a shelter, which at least buys them time. Regardless, Jamil isn’t too worried.
An hour later, Professor Mozus Trein drove the four pets along the bumpy road to the mansion as an old slow song from the fifties played on the radio. Next to him was Rook staring out the window, his ears moving with every movement the forest offered him. Rook was looking forward to meeting his new playmates. You see, Trein's townhouse was so dreadfully dull. Idia didn’t move at all, and he could only stare unblinkingly at Deuce and Ruggie for so long before he got bored. Besides, he already knew everything about them from their time in the shelter. So the chance of hunting both animals and other pets alike was endlessly intriguing to him. He sighed, and pulled out the surprisingly well-kept photo that was meticulously cut out of a magazine with Rook’s own claws. It was of the idol trophy pet Neige. Bought only a week ago, he was already a huge media presence. He was slowly becoming the most followed account on magicam, and his owner was making bank off of Neige and his looks. But that wasn’t on Rook’s mind as he gazed lovingly at the cut out.
Behind him was Idia, just… staring off at the wilderness. He assumed that he was being sent to die in the wilderness, and he was okay with wasting away on a log. Life at Trein’s was better than the shelter because Trein had a cat who would occasionally join Idia in laying on the couch doing nothing. That was nice.
Next to Idia was Deuce, who was very nervous. While he knew that Trein’s house was only a temporary stay, he still tried his best to keep it clean and to help Trein all that he could. Unfortunately that led to a few glasses breaking, and Trein banning him from his kitchen. And that was only after staying with Trein for a week. Deuce saw Trein’s place as a warm up for your house, and with how bad he was at cleaning, cooking, and not walking into expensive art pieces, Deuce felt like a failure. While he knew about the study, he was scared that he would mess up so badly at your house that as soon as the study ended you would either throw him onto the street, or immediately send him to be put down. So he felt like he had two years to prove himself as a capable housepet, and he intended to do so.
Finally, next to Deuce and directly behind Trein was Ruggie. He’s got to hand it to you. This is a first for him, and for a pet like Ruggie, he can’t say that very often. His eyes scanned the forest around the car as he made a game plan. The game plan would be updated upon arrival to the manor, once he knows it’s layouts and the other players, but a general one would work just fine for now. Like Deuce, he was going to prove himself. You mentioned planning on putting the foursome in nice homes after the study, and while you seemed nice, Ruggie didn’t trust you. You don’t come as far as Ruggie has trusting every human you run into. So, Ruggie had to prove his ability as a companion pet, not just the housepet you got him as. Therefore, you would either keep him as a house or companion pet, or you’ll give him to a friend of yours, or someone who's good graces you want to be in. Ruggie doesn’t care either way, as all options have him under a roof with a consistent source of food for the rest of his days. Yeah, he was going to crush this.
Once those three cars dropped off the pets, you repeated the same speech, and then spent the rest of your day ordering more items, and figuring out the room arrangements.
You waited anxiously in the hospital waiting room. It was the next day, and you had driven three hours to get here. You had been talking to the hospital for quite some time about obtaining Ortho for your study. At first they resisted, but after openly looking through your legal options (i.e. Pet Rights and the rights of inventors), and asking to see the receipts of sale and/or other papers that would say Ortho was legally the hospital’s, they finally consented to have him join your study.
You looked up when the door opened, and brightened when you saw the robotic pet, his flaming blue hair dancing circles around his clean robotic cat ears. A sharp difference from Idia’s matted ears that he refused to let you fix.
“Are you Y/n?” he asked.
“Yes! I’m assuming you’re Ortho?”
The pet brightened as he nodded. “I was told that you would be my owner for the next two years. I’ve never had an owner before, just the hospital staff!”
“Well…” you started to lead him out of the hospital. “No one will be your owner, you’ll just stay with me and a bunch of other pets while I record how you interact, and how independent you are.”
“Well that also sounds fun!”
When you returned to the mansion, Ortho quickly started to introduce himself to everyone there. You let him do so, before you guided him upstairs to see the pet he had yet to see.
“This will be your room! Hope you don’t mind, but you’ll have a roommate. If you two don’t get along, let me know and I’ll find another room for you.”
“Thank you, but I’m sure that won’t be necessary,” Ortho reassured you. “Who’s my roommate?”
Instead of answering, you opened the door. It was completely dark except for a blue flame. Ortho froze. The mass connected to the blue flame, opened its glowing eyes to glare at the intrusion, but instead widened in surprise.
It was complete silence, until Idia managed a small voice.
“... Ortho?”
“Big Brother!!!”
Ortho rushed forward and into the arms of the still in shock cat hybrid. And just like that, the dam broke, and the reunion became full of tears. You silently closed the door, in order to give them their privacy, and went back downstairs.
How They React to and Act in the Study
Well, that’s not what Riddle was expecting. Once the shock wears off, he gets upset that you bought him and a lot of other troublemakers that he also has to tend to, but hides it well. Unfortunately for him, you are a trained behaviorist and you pick up on it. With the study, he still sees you as his owner whom he has to obey, so he pledges to be the ideal study participant. When it comes to how he acts in the study, he takes all the surveys the second they’re offered, and follows your rules to a T. I would say you have to tell him multiple times not to serve you, but he takes the first one as an order so you only have to tell him once. He still tries to help you in more subtle ways, because he has no idea what to do, and is torn between obeying his master and following his training. Takes on a rule enforcer role, and frequently chastises any of the pets that say anything even slightly unfavorable to you. Those he chastises regularly are: Ace, Cater, Dew, Cece, Todd, Toby, Tate, Tara, Leona, Floyd, Kalim, Rook, Epel, Idia, Lilia, and Silver.
While Trey is concerned with what will happen after the study, he relishes the two year grace period that they all have. He plans to take full advantage of this, and enjoy life for a while. After all, he isn’t expected to do anything, but he still gets to be with his siblings. During the study, he bakes frequently, and takes on the job of taking care of and raising his siblings. He cleans up after himself and will help other pets if they ask, but doesn’t do much otherwise. He focuses on dental care for all who live in the house, regardless of how willing they are.
As mentioned before, Cater’s kind of torn about still being with his sisters, but on the plus side, there are a lot of very interesting pets to talk to. Once he got to the manor, he made a mental list of all the pets that caught his interest. Shortly after the study started, you got him a polaroid camera, and he is obsessed with it. He likes to take pictures all the time to post later on the magicam he created. He cleans up after himself sometimes, but forgets other times. He doesn’t help out around the house, but does keep his room clean.
Ace likes your idea. He can just hang out and do nothing and still be fed and housed. He’s not the biggest fan that you got Riddle as well, but he can learn how to outrun him, so no biggie. Honestly, he doesn’t help out unless he’s forced too. His side of the room is a pigsty, which he and Deuce argue about constantly.
While Deuce knew about the study from day one, he’s still nervous about it. You say he doesn’t have to work for you and can do whatever he wants if it doesn’t break the rules, but what if this is just a trap? What if you decide to throw him back into the shelter? What if this is just a way to separate the worthy pets from the unworthy? Because of this, he looks after the house along with some others. He keeps his room clean, and savors whatever you give him. He desperately wants to prove he’s a good housepet. Some of the pets become the Trophy pet’s caretakers out of a feeling of obligation, and Deuce assigns himself to Cater. He’s not the best at it, but he tries, and Cater finds it adorable.
At first Leona’s confused, but hey, he’s not going to complain. He naps the day away, and occasionally proves his exceptional physical prowess by playing sports with some of the other pets. No surprises here, he doesn’t help around the house at all. Ruggie still becomes his sort of servant, which doesn’t help the situation. He groans when you try and get him to fill out the surveys, but still does it.
Not what Ruggie imagined from his first ‘owner’, but he’s not complaining. He adapts to anything quickly, so he instantly fits in. Ruggie tries to prove his worth as a pet by looking after the house, and a certain trophy pet. Since they’re supposed to look nice at all times, plus it makes him look good, he tends to Leona.
Jack’s confused, but wants to impress you. He sees this as a way to show how good of a housepet he is so he’ll get a nice owner after this. He helps out around the house, but takes breaks when able to to play with the others. He sees that some of the other housepets and companion types are taking care of a specific trophy pet, so he decides to look after Epel, who is ecstatic to have Jack around him.
Azul’s scared of the other pets, but grows to not fear them. He loves hanging out in his saltwater house you made him, but is rarely in his octaform, so he’s not in there much. He is so desperate for your approval, so he works to make your life easier in any way he can. He cleans up, cooks for the others, however he mainly works as your secretary.
Jade loves this. It’s not what he expected, and he loves the unexpected. He also loves still being with Floyd. Plus the saltwater lake, 10% of which is on your property, has live fish for him to hunt and torture. He helps out around the house when he can. He mainly just cleans up the messes Floyd makes. But he does take over the garden duties.
There are so many people for Floyd to play with and squeeze!! :D He helps out when he’s forced to or when he feels like it. You have trouble occasionally trying to get him to fill out the surveys, but you get it done. He mainly just does what he wants at any given time, but he hasn’t broken any of the rules as of yet.
This isn’t what Kalim was told it would be like, but he’s not going to complain. Now he has more people to be his friend! I think he tries to help out, but is stopped by Jamil. Both because Jamil think’s it looks bad on him since he’s taken on caretaking duties for Kalim, and also because Kalim isn’t very good at it. He tries to throw parties for the pets inside and you whenever he can.
Najma has a place to stay, which is good, but this was not what Jamil was expecting. Nevertheless, he obeys your rules, cleans up the house, and cooks like he was trained to. He was the first pet to take on caring for the trophy pets, but as other pets joined in, he was moved to just taking care of Kalim.
Vil already doesn’t like you for that first comment of yours, this kind of furthers his dislike. Still you know how to listen and you bring him the best beauty products your budget can buy, and you seem to know just what type of attention and care he needs to be happy, so he supposes it isn’t too bad. He doesn’t clean or cook, but he focuses on making sure everyone in the house looks nice. Particularly the trophy pets. He is the Riddle to the trophy pets.
Rook gets to hunt, and he has a nice place to stay with interesting and beautiful people and pets? Sign him up. He is one of the first to choose a trophy pet to look after, as he was so drawn to Vil’s beauty. He also brings home meat, so you have to buy less food, which is always a plus. Doesn’t clean or cook much at all though.
Epel is ecstatic. You mean he gets to go whatever he wants, within reason, and you won’t force him to be a trophy pet? And all he has to do is fill out a survey every once and a while? Sounds great! He kind of just does what Jack does. When Jack is playing and having fun, he’s doing that, in fact he frequently gets Jack to forget about the chores and go have fun with him. Although other times, Jack isn’t swayed and Epel ends up helping him with the chores. He’s brought under Vil’s wing against his will, and spends a lot of time hiding from him.
Idia stays in his room all day, doesn’t even eat the food you give him. His mood gets better when Ortho arrives. He starts eating and interacting with your surveys and quizzes. He still prefers to stay in his room, but will occasionally go outside with Ortho. He doesn’t help out at all with anything around the house. At least he doesn’t create a mess outside of his room.
When Ortho heard he was going to be a part of a study for a short period of time, he was excited, but also kind of went with the flow. Then he saw Idia, and his face instantly lit up. He joins others in trying to look after the house, you, and the other pets.
Malleus was also confused, but got over it quickly and found it amusing. He’s happy that you were the one that bought him. He lived a pretty lonely existence, so he’s happy to try and make friends. He doesn’t cook or clean. Even if he wanted to, Sebek wouldn’t allow him.
Lilia’s pretty chill with the whole thing, as he knew what he was getting into. Instantly befriends the other fae pets, and tries to raise them. Finds out what photos are and takes ten photos a day of his kids. He tries to cook, but isn’t allowed to. :( He does clean a bit, and always takes the surveys with no complaint.
Silver’s also chill as he knew what he was getting into. Joins Lilia wherever he goes, but also branches out and becomes independent. Makes friends of his own, but is particularly close with the fae. He cleans up and cooks when able. He often falls asleep when cleaning, so Lilia has many photos of Silver asleep holding a mop.
Sebek has no idea what to do since you told all of them to not treat you any different than they would another pet. But then he sees Malleus, and he starts serving him, since he doesn’t feel right not serving someone after years of being trained to. He works as a companion/housepet type for Malleus, but holds you to a higher degree since in the eyes of the law, you are his actual master.
Cece is very excited that she’s still with her brother and sister, and hangs out with them frequently. She mainly just bakes for the others with Trey. She cleans up after herself, and tries to not force anyone else to look after her, but accepts and looks after Najma when she feels obligated to serve Cece and Dew. She joins Kalim in the party planning, and makes sure to talk with everyone in attendance at least once.
Dew’s also very excited to remain with her siblings, but isn’t as open as Cece is. She gets really into textile arts and crafts. Starts sewing and offers to repair and eventually make more clothes for everyone. The clothes she designs are very cute, and she makes a lot for Cater, Cece, and Najma.
This isn’t what Najma imagined would happen, but I guess that’s life. She joins Jamil in looking after the trophy pets, and eventually is pushed to looking after Cece and Dew. They take her on as a mini Cater, feeding her sweet treats, making her clothes, and basically being two older sisters to her. In contrast to Jamil, Najma actually likes “tending” to Cece and Dew.
Tara’s happy to not be separated from her siblings. Sure, there isn't anyone her age around, but that’s fine! Trey has her clean up her messes and still teaches all his siblings how to be housepets for after the study. But otherwise she and her siblings play with the older pets, especially Floyd and Lilia, a lot. She also gets sort of adopted by Cece, Dew, and Najma, who all have girl nights at least once a month.
Todd’s happy to be with his family, but feels like they embarrass him just by existing. He tries to befriend the older pets, as he feels as though he is on their level of maturity, while Toby and Tate are clearly incredibly immature. Also has a huge crush on Najma, but she doesn’t feel the same way.
Toby likes being with his siblings, and is also happy that there are so many other pets around when he gets tired of them. He tries to get the older pets to play Magift with him, and catches every game he can on the tv. He is a big fan of the pet league, where pets play against other pets, with the smaller paychecks going to their owners.
Tate never really thought that he would ever be separated from his siblings, so his reaction to them all being adopted together is a bit more muted. He gets in mischief with Floyd a lot, much to Trey and Riddle’s chagrin. Like all of his siblings, he cleans up after himself, and usually eats what Trey prepares for them.

Could you do first years reacting to fem!Yuu saying “If you don’t shut up I’m gonna sleep with your dad and give him a child he’ll actually love.” To another student that has been making fun of them. If not it’s fine and thank you
You don't understand how much I wanted to write the first years reacting to Yuu saying that to them.
Reader is referred to in 2nd person, so you can really infer your own pronouns if you so desire!
-
It's a wonder that you haven't killed any of your classmates yet. A school chock full of teenage boys is bound to grate on anyone, let alone a school that appears to only accept the most self-righteous, selfish, and insufferable boys it can find. You've somehow managed to find the patience to stand them so far, an admirable feat especially considering all the overblots you've had to deal with. You've been witness to every overblot that's happened at this school since you've got here. Calling it bad luck wouldn't even be accurate at this point, as you've more or less caused more than your fair share of them.
In fact, you were just recovering (mentally) from a recent overblot when a particular student, known for his bad takes and inability to be quiet (a distant cousin of Sebek, perhaps?), started loudly mouthing off in the middle of the library. As you were trying to study. You were at your wits end, just trying to keep calm after a very annoying day. Sebek was assigned as your partner in alchemy that day, meaning you had to deal with his superiority complex and patronizing attitude for an entire hour, you spent another hour trying to help Deuce understand the history assignment while Ace goofed off in the middle of class, then you were forced to run around campus with the king of tsunderes (Jack) plus toxic masculinity and a napoleon complex rolled into one (Epel). The rest of the day was spent with Grim, and you know very well how he is. Safe to say, you very much Not In The Mood.
Five minutes into his unnecessary comments, you finally broke, shouting back at him:
“If you don’t shut up I’m gonna sleep with your dad and give him a child he’ll actually love!”
Ace
Oh how he wishes he used that line on Riddle when he had the chance. His face is in his hands for an entire hour because of how much he’s cursing himself for that wasted opportunity. He whines to you about how betrayed he is. Why couldn’t you have used that line earlier? Why couldn’t you have told him that line so he could use it on Riddle???
Deuce
He was trying his very hardest not to go into deviant mode to handle the situation for you, like it was a visible struggle, the man was very clearly upset. He was so focused on not going deviant that he didn’t even hear that line. You finally have to lightly smack his arm to get him to notice the library’s gone quiet again (save for Ace).
Jack
He's a little disappointed you didn't get violent with the kid. Like yeah, it'd be more trouble than it's worth, but he definitely thinks your strong enough to take the dude out. Maybe you're not confident in your strength? He could ask if you want to work out with him... but how could he do that without making you think he needs friendship? Everyone knows friends are for weenies, which Jack is most definitely NOT.
Epel
Your little hype man. He's very clearly impressed with you, and now he can assist in the roast since he's all hyped up. Of course he probably takes it too far, and you may have to physically remove him from the library, but it's the thought that counts.
That all said, invest in a cardboard cutout of Vil (or just steal one, Rook must have hundreds of them under his wallpaper or something). Convincing Epel that Vil is around him may prevent this.
Sebek
Sebek was also shouting, mostly at the other student. So, really, your comment could’ve also applied to him. That being said, the idea that his human father wouldn’t love his “clearly superior” fae son was absolutely preposterous to him. So he kind of got this smug “your dad doesn’t love you, but I’m beloved by all” face at the kid.
