^^ She inspired me & gave me the courage to post my creations here on Tumblr! Congrats again, Stephanie!

Hi there, I love crochet but I don't understand just by reading. I can understand like the one shown in the Japanese book. I would like to crochet for new babies just for myself and I guess it's a satisfaction when we can get it done. Do you have any diagrams, chart anything for me. :)
Hi. Thank you! No, unfortunately I do not have any diagrams / charts for the baby booties. I honestly don't understand charts & diagrams so I stick to actual written patterns. You can check out Etsy.com, I'm sure they have some there. Hope that helps! :)

how do you make the cute little bear cupcake? I'm dying to know so i can make one and put it on a key chain.
what bear cupcake are you referring to? I lost my notebook with ALL of my patterns so I'll have to see if I can re-create it.

PATTERN: DIY BABY BOOTIES!
I made these baby booties as party favors for my baby shower last May. Ever since I posted pictures of them, I've gotten tons of request on how to make them. Unfortunately at the time, I didn't write down the pattern & quickly forgot how to make them. It wasn't until last week when I found an extra baby bootie that I decided to go back & write the pattern down. So after almost a year of waiting, here's the pattern to my very own baby booties party favor!
^^ Materials to make the baby bootie: yarn of your choice (i'm using red heart super saver), a G-hook, stitch marker (optional), embellishment (i'm using a flower), glue gun, & scissors.
^^ For the keychain, I purchased chain links & key rings from AC Moore & made my very own keychains using pliers. :) I then bought charms such as pacifiers & diaper pins from Party City to add to the keychains! As for the labels, I bought colored paper, flower foam stickers, & squiggly scissors from AC Moore. I typed up the labels on Microsoft Word & printed them out, attached the stickers, cut them out, & along with the charms, attached it to the keychain with a ribbon.
PATTERN:
Base of the bootie: ch8, dc on third ch, 4dc, 6dc in the next ch, working on the other side of the ch, 4dc, 3dc in last ch, ss.
First row (working on the back loops only): ch1, 5sc, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc2tog, 7sc, ss.
Second row (working on both loops): ch1, 4sc, hdc2tog, hdc2tog, 7sc, ss, f/o.
Final touches: Using your glue gun, apply an embellishment of your choosing! :)
So there you have it, your very own DIY baby booties! If you have any questions about the pattern or found any errors, please let me know. Enjoy!

Tumblr ask questions..
For some reason, everytime I try to answer questions from my 'tumblr ask' box, it won't let me so I guess I'll try to answer them all here.
Questions regarding baby shower baby booties:
I made those baby booties while I was pregnant & made all 40 in one sitting. I didn't write down the pattern because at the time I had it memorized. Unfortunately I don't remember the pattern anymore but am working on figuring it out. So, to those who are interested, stay tuned.
Questions regarding shoes I made for my daughter:
Most of the patterns for the baby booties were bought from Etsy.com & because of copyright issues, I'm am not allowed to share them with others. I hope you guys understand!
Not questions, but compliments about my page:
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It means a lot to have people appreciate my work & to have followers who shares the same love for crocheting as I do. :)

UPDATE!
I don't even know where to begin. My last post was about my baby shower that was 3 weeks away (May 2011). It's been 8 months since that said baby shower & so much has happened. As most of you know, I gave birth in June of 2011 to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Since then my life has hasn't been the same. I also finally got married at the end of June, so I am now a Mrs. rather than a Miss & on July of 2011, I turned 22. So many happy milestones, so much changes & with it.. I had to adapt. All of a sudden I was a mom. I was breastfeeding exclusively & took care of her 24/7 while my husband went to work during the day. As I took care of daughter & my new family, it left me no spare time to do the things I used to love. Confession: I haven't touched a crochet hook since the birth of my baby which explains why I have no recent post. So forgive me. But, with the new year, one of my resolution is to once again start crocheting. :) It's time for baby's nap time but I'll be back soon. :) - Kay!

DIY: Baby Shower Favors!
With 6 weeks away from my due date & my baby shower in less than 3 weeks, this week is dedicated to finalizing all the baby shower details, from decorations to the food, down to the party favors!
I made these crocheted baby booties back in January when I was in my "baby phase" & I turned them into keychains, & eventually became as one of my baby shower party favors! :)
I wanted my party favors to be personal, home-made, of course affordable, & 100% made by me! :)
^Aren't they cute? They're miniature version of actual baby booties! I even added buttons to the front to make them look even cuter! :) I made them in 8 different colors!
^Materials I used.. for the keychain, I purchased chain links & key rings from AC Moore & made my very own keychains using pliers. :) I then bought charms such as pacifiers & diaper pins from Party City to add to the keychains!
^As for the labels, I bought colored paper, flower foam stickers, & squiggly scissors from AC Moore. I typed up the labels on Microsoft Word & printed them out, attached the stickers, cut them out, & along with the charms, attached it to the keychain with a ribbon. (My baby shower was supposed to be in April, but changed it to May last minute so I then had to re-print & re-attached the tags to the favors!)
FINAL RESULT?
^100% MADE WITH LOVE! <3

DIY: Baby Memory Book!
Being that I'll be giving birth in a couple weeks, I want to cherish every moment & experience I go through so I decided I wanted a baby memory book! At first I was just going to go out & purchase one but what fun would that be? So instead I went to my local art store-- picked up a scrap book, some paper, & made a baby memory book of my own!
After looking at other baby books for inspiration pages, I was able to see what I wanted & what I found unecessary, and with the help of Microsoft Powerpoint, I was able to make my very own scrap book pages.
The total project cost was around $23! You can't beat that! Not to mention, it's custom made for me & my baby! <3
Below is a picture of the scrap book I purchased from AC Moore & the rest are just some of the pages off of my baby memory book (all made by me!)

DIY: Baby Wipes Case!
As most of you guys know, I'm pregnant! I'm currently in my third trimester with just 6 weeks away from giving birth to a beautiful baby girl! And lately I've been in my "nesting" phase-- just getting her things ready & set for her arrival.
My latest project has nothing to do with crochet, but a do-it-yourself baby wipes case! =)
I decided to make my very own after finding one on Etsy.com for sale for about $18! I didn't want to spend that much money, especially on something as simple as baby wipes case so I searched it online & found some links from youtube on how to make your very own, & ^^ I came up with these!
Materials needed for baby wipes case:
-Travel size baby wipes (the green one is Huggies & the right one, fatter one is Pampers!) that you can get from Walmart for about $2. -Fabric ( I got both fabrics from Walmart at $1 each) -Ribbon (again, Walmart for about $1.50) -Scissors & glue gun
Instructions: I made my wipes case from watching these videos!

Time out!
I'm on a crochet break! This doesn't mean that I won't be blogging anymore or posting projects-- it's simply means that I won't be able to post projects & tutorials as much as would like to. I would still blog from time to time, it's just that with a major shift that's soon to take place in my life, crocheting is not my highest priority at the moment. Here's why:
1. As most of you know, I'm pregnant. Baby girl's arrival is only a couple weeks away & I've just been so busy & focused on getting all the things needed for when I give birth.
2. With weeks away from giving birth, my schedule is jam packed with weekly visits to my OB & a 5-week long lamaze classes with the fiance.
3. I will be having my baby shower in a couple of weeks & though my mom has insisted that she has it under control, I still want to help as much as I can.
4. I'm still a college student & I want to finish as much as I can before baby's arrival because I know that once she's born-- she'll be my number one priority & I won't be able to study as much as I would like.
^^ With that said, I will still try to blog & crochet, but know that the amount of work I'll be producing won't be as much as it used to be. I hope you guys understant & will still continue to support me!

oo another question! when youre making keychains, did you add the metal part to the magic ring when you first started the project or did you add it when you were done with the whole product? thanks!
I first worked on the project in its entirety then added the metal keychain in the end. Hope that helps! :)
