Alice rocked herself back and forth slightly as she listened to the exchange between Mrs. Umber and Eric. The old woman sighed before starting, "Little Alice is in the middle of a manic episode. I assume by the look in your face that she hasn't told you about her condition." there was a pause before she actually dropped the bomb. "Alice is bipolar." Alice only realized she was crying when a tear rolled loose and landed on her knee.

Eric watched the nurse coming closer and realized that she absolutely knew what was wrong with Alice. He looked down at Alice and felt so helpless not being able to help her, not even knowing what was wrong. He looked back to the nurse with the obvious question written across his face.

Alice walked alongside with Eric to Greg's apartment door, wishing to every God she knew that the night would go by smoothly. She was worried what Greg might do to Eric if he found out they'd done so much as kiss. She still wasn't sure whether they were together or not. It was just one kiss. Her thoughts were interrupted by Jenn opening the door. She broke into a wide grin. "Hey!" she walked in and hugged her. "How are you?" she handed Jenn the bag with the wine and went up to Greg, hugging him as well. "Hey, Greggy." she said teasingly, before taking her place at the table.

Alice tugged at the hem of Mrs. Umber's dress and managed to gestured her to come closer. "T-Tell hi-him." she whispered and coiled deeper into the chair, hugging her knees against her chest. Eric needed to know what was happening. He looked so confused and lost, she couldn't leave him in the dark now.

Inside the office, the nurse immediately recognized Alice what really confused Eric even more. Why did she already know her? Was Alice here that often? He still didn’t ask any of the questions stuck in his head but followed Alice when she sat down and stayed by her side.
