I feel like I am disappearing... becoming lighter, light as a feather and then a tiny wisp of... nothing... I am dissolved. But it is just the “I” that has disintegrated. Even the state of satva... I am going beyond.

I am definitely not used to this. Not having or wanting control. It is scary but I am trying. I want to take the leap of faith. To just completely relax into the divine. To not need no structure, no labels to hold onto, no limitations to keep my sense of balance.

I want to blast myself wide open and bask in the truth of vulnerability for a long meditative breath. And the breaths that follow... if I can bear it.

Let me just relax into the divine... and disappear.

I open my eyes everyday to the sweetest bliss I have ever known. It is at once tranquil, at its height, impeccable, at its most profound, sublime. It is untouched by unfortunate circumstance. Its alignment and deep harmony to the movements of the universe is perfection. And it is all because I have discovered a well of overflowing, abundant love for the Self.

The love for the Self is the great love. Where the higher Self resides, the divine is complete. And embracing this state is basking in the mysteries, the absolute faith of union with infinite intelligence. It is the delicious sensation of cosmic connection, both incredible in its enormity yet entirely equal to the simplest, most natural realisation.

There is no judgment here. You never do know. There is nothing you can be sure of. You do not know. So I freed myself from that. Boxes are removed and the sense of fearfully imposed structure starts to lose its importance.

There is no enquiry here. You are ever just watching. The observer that has no participation in attachment. Your role is just to watch. So I freed myself from trying. And now I just do. I do without judgment of success or failure while enjoying the creation process in its pure beauty.

I start to hear the collective consciousness whisper intricate messages and I resolve to only move when I am called. I want to be nothing but chaste, the vessel, the blessed alchemy and I know this can only be, beyond the meditation of the mind, when I know myself in absolute intimacy. Where the external world as a reflection of the inner does not carry within it demons of an unknown nature. I have faced it all. I know who I am. I understand my reality. Anxiety has ceased to have a place in my world.

I am so happy.

The trial of fire is an ordeal of persecution. It is that feeling when everybody and everything seems to be against you and your world is turned topsy turvy because of that, and you lose all sense of who you are. It is during this time that you must remain calm and detach yourself from the need for judgement. To pass this ordeal is to be able to sit back and stay serene amidst the opposing atmosphere. Only then can you truly say you have lost that inner attachment to being liked, admired and adored which are the fire plays of the ego.

Trial By Fire or The Karma of Sagittarius

In the worlds between, trials await. None of it is real but that would not matter to an egotistical mind. A mind wrought with ego is consumed by the self and unable to see above the illusion of these ordeals. And here begins the test of Fire…

It is the story of The Scarlet Letter, where a woman, vulnerable and helpless to the control of society’s beliefs and demands, has to pin her ‘A’dulterous shame on her chest while she walks through the town enduring their judgments and attacks. It is the trial of persecution.

What is this persecution anyway? The judgment of a society that determines morality to be as the majority designs. Where a woman with a husband lost at sea, that might have never been in love but only attached through circumstance, is one of loose morals if she then gets involved with another man. Her integrity is in question even though while she suffers through terrible persecution she never once mentioned who the father of her child was. Her crime was only made obvious because she was a woman and was showing. Her partner-in-crime, who should be the symbol of all that is good and morally right, the minister, kept silent all the time throughout, while she took the hate and self-righteousness of the laypeople. And how interesting that morals, which should be a personal thing, a description of one’s practice and self-growth, is as public as a crime to society. One illusion placed on top of another.

How do we be free of this?

It seems so real when we are being persecuted, judged, misrepresented, misunderstood, hated at…

How do we see through the onslaught of insults and understand that it is only due to the existence of this enemy that we carry around with us all the time, that we suffer such.

The Ego.

That which requires for us to be accepted, liked, respected, 'understood', loved...

How do we experientially conceive that really it is only necessary to like than to be liked - in order to be happy, to be free, to be seeing what is true. That it is only necessary to lose all judgment, especially when we are most judged.

We can never control others. They could be in a mood. They could (through their wounds) identify only with their critical mind. They could be insecure, unsure, unstable. Are we to descend with their every negative pull or can we raise them up with unconditional love? Here's where Truth resides. Illusion no more. Here we are at unconditional love.

Calculation and logic counters this magical power we call unconditional love. It kills the huge transformative power it holds. It starts the mind off on the Whys and the Whats. Why should I love someone who acts so self-entitled with me when I am doing so much more for that person than is required? What right does a nameless person have to over-confident comments about my work when better qualified heads behave humbly and have been floored?

See? How did that feel? Wonder, beauty, magic... Gone with the detailed specification of those two calculative and 'logical' statements.

If we choose love rather than calculation, inclusiveness rather than 'logic', we will see the truth. The fictional self-entitled individual is only like that because of uncertainty. At the end of the day he or she would rather choose appreciation and warmth. The imagined over-critical person is only such because he or she feels insufficient. It is the same thing in the end. Am I to harp on this and make a wound bigger, darker or can I just turn towards the light and dispel the illusion of the heaviness of this reality they have created for themselves?

I shall not participate.

And I shall have passed the Fire trial.

If I think that I can only find peace when I'm manifesting a reality where I never get cheated, I will never manifest that reality.

If I think that I can only find peace when my loved ones are never in a foul mood, I will never find peace and will possibly always find a foul mood.

If I think that I can only find peace when everything goes smooth, and exertion and worry has no chance to surface, I will surely then never find the ease and warmth where peace does subsists.

Peace comes only from deep within, when all is quiet and nothing matters except the stillness of divine communion. All is stripped. Nothing remains. There you shall find the Self.

Peace comes only from a detachment from earthly matters where the verity of illusion is intrinsically absorbed. The malleability of its reality implicitly perceived. The true state then impassionedly treasured.

Peace comes from the clearest direction to the exact quality of personal empowerment towards the subjective reality before the observer. All is you. It is the Self, the nothing, that creates. And the path to the Self is the journey to oneness (yoga).

Progression in art is something that requires a complete abandon of sorts. It is that courageous step forward, right out of the box, in brazenly sure footing. ILLUMINARI represents the feminine principle in a world of duality. Our message is the light of existentialistic exploration and the clarity of inner truth. Our tool is the path of musical expression and artistic movement. We recognise that in this material reality, the masculine principle, the route of reaching outward for truth, is the more active, dominant one, and so our purpose is to illuminate our listeners to release themselves from the hold of the overtly physical and discover the deeper, realer life within. If but only one person awakens this light within them, ILLUMINARI would have served its ultimate vision, to ignite the guidance of the heart and soul. This is the picture we are painting in all its audacity and what we believe our contribution is to the collective.

There is no mediocrity in what we are attempting to do. It is cutting edge sound, no more, no less. We intend to be as experimental as possible while balancing a core, natural melody that resonates with instinctive good feeling. Our debut album is a Trip Hop composition, which is a fusion of funk, soul, jazz with Hip Hop drumming, entitled “Illuminari At The Threshold”. The second one, which is in its beginning stages right now, will be a Hip Hop album intensively fresh, without a trace of commercialised Pop Hip Hop. The group will continue to explore other genres within the electronic style but maintain the avant garde intention and invention. A single but possibly different member of the band will direct the message of each album to allow a single-minded stream of consciousness to flow out through each compilation. Every member of ILLUMINARI takes on very specified roles and has full leadership and ownership over their allotted arenas. This is our ideological system of work to facilitate optimum efficiency in a creative environment. And as art evokes the diversity of assent, dissent, joy, discomfort and so forth, sourcing for advice might be useful in some cases but it is imperative that one person always owns the final say. Unsolicited opinions are encouraged to be disregarded. It is to us, best to keep everyone strictly within his or her own jurisdiction, and we have read that Apple works with this same idea as well.
