I like to think Jodie and Glenn look weirdly similar like brothers but they aren't. Aside from both being Nicky's dad and have/had a relationship Morgan have no connection what so ever.
But as we all know after the trial Jodie became Nicky dad, what we also know is that Nicky looked the same but was just a different person due to having a different parent. So, I think the Omega Dads or whoever was behind the dad switch had to find something who looks physically and has similar features to Glenn, since Nicky's general appearance didn't change.
In my mind Glenn has a crooked nose (from being in bar fights too) he's had since birth, Nicky inherited that nose, so Jodie has the same nose. Either they copy pasted that stuff onto Jodie and he just woke up one day right before he met Morgan with all these new features or he had them already.

Hold up Taylor is 19????
Paeden was a young child who was also an old man. Hermie is a teenager who is also a toddler. Link was born over 120 years ago and is only like 16 years old I think? Maybe 17 but that sounds off. He also lived into his 40s or 50s in a simulation and does remember his whole alternative life, but I cannot stress this enough, his physical body is only like 16. Taylor is 15 but also 19 except we're ignoring that bc it's not officially canon and throws a wrench into everything. Norm and Scary are just regularly aged teenagers so far but that is subject to change. Hope this helps.

I love the way Freddie portrays Glenn in season 2. But I do miss the early season 1 voice Freddie did for Glenn, the smooth very laid back voice.
I like the new scruffy voice Freddie does now and you could probably connect the change to lore/character development but I think Freddie just wanted Glenn to sound like a mysterious anime protagonist.
I just miss his dreamy bedroom voice that was so nice to listen to, I could listen to early season 1 Glenn all day if I have to🥰🥰

my personal belief is that Morgan and Glenn met bcs Glenn thought it would be funny to try to organize a "support group" (it was really just gonna be a cool hang out party with probably a lot of drugs) for people with the same names as celebrities on like . Myspace or something . and Morgan was the only one who showed up .

I don’t think the other kiddads even know who Rebecca is married to. I think every time Hero or Normal is mentioned, they jump through conversational hoops to hide the fact they don’t know who their dad is.
#sdgbvcdstuhb#i can imagine the other kiddads enabling their kids ask#and the teens then start fighting over sho has to ask#either taylor or linc#dungeons and daddies#dndads s2

I have a headcanon that when Terry was like 15 he became like super goth. Like 4 inch combat boots, spiked anklets and bracelets, the hair over one eye and has it dyed pink, skulls shirts and necklaces, pants chains, the works. He’s the type of person where at least one woman leans over to whoever she’s with and whispers loud as fuck “He doesn’t have a good relationship with his father”.
Cue Ron, this 5’4 man, wearing a business shirt with a tie and some kind of long skirt on, he’s mostly balding despite the fact he looks late 30’s early 40’s. Just walking in going like “um Terry?” Terry perking up seeing his Dad and going like “Oh hi dad!” Walking over to him leaning over and giving him a kiss on the forehead and then holding his hand on the way back to the car as Ron talks about whatever happened, and everyone wherever they were at are just standing there like “The f*ck just happened?”

This would be so good for the next arc tho, all the teen meeting their grandparents, I just want Glenn, Jodie, Nicky and Taylor all in one room mainly for Nick's sake. Bc he always wanted to be like his dads and then he meets his son who doesn't care if he's like his dad at all. Idk I feel it would be good for all of them
So if Nick Close and Nicholas Foster were both driven by wanting to be just like their dad and win their dad’s approval, then Nicky’s disillusionment over the thirtyish years between seasons one and two must’ve been brutal 😬 He’s clearly pretty fed up with Jodie’s whole deal when we see him in hell. So who is he now if he isn’t just completely laser-focused on his dad??

The Oak family make me so mentally ill actually
Like, for starters, the generational trauma that cannot and will not be shaken off:
The very obvious first point is The Doodler. 'The Curse of The Doodler' passed down from generation to generation. Even after Lark and Sparrow release it, the curse still haunts them as the apocalypse they have to bear the blame for. Now Dood is walking amongst them, as a teen protected by the teens, and all Lark and Sparrow can do is look him in the eye (not even really). Lark wants to end this generational trauma by killing Dood but Normal wants to do it but helping it (parallel to what we see happen in s2 ep23 when they sit on the Throne).
The next obvious ones are the veganism (has been an Oaks thing since Hildy's grandmother, if not great-grandmother).
and the 'shoes on' household. Something Henry started due to always being barefoot in Oakvale cause of Barry's Rules. Something that is still instilled with Normal and Hero.
All of the Oaks have a dislike towards their kids/parents. Hildy hated Barry cause he abused her for so long and in the final years of her life he abandoned her in Oakvale and left her to die. Barry and Henry fought constantly, Barry creating more Oakvalians cause Henry would never have been good enough for him. Henry and Lark straight up just do not get along, especially after Henry took the Gauntlets of Ogre Power (which in Lark's eyes caused Walter to get injured and almost caused Sparrow to die), ESPECIALLY after Henry pulled to rogue card. Henry and Sparrow don't talk anymore which is something I will get into later on. Lark and Sparrow weren't even Henry's favourite kids, it was his pet bird Beanie. Honestly, I'm kind of scared to see what Henry and Birdie's relationship is like. Then we have Sparrow and Normal. Sparrow is open about being not being proud of Normal and wishing he was more 'normal'. Finally we have Sparrow and Hero. Sparrow probably isn't that proud or happy with Hero either since she just noped out of being the chosen one. (check out this post)
Another kinda obvious one, the (very strong) family resemblance. They all look so alike, so similar, of course they're going to be the least likely to change and break tradition. (post)
SPARROW AND HENRY NO LONGER TALKING - so many implications. Like, is it because of the shit Lark and Sparrow pulled with Hero? Cause he married a centrist (/j)? Was it because Sparrow (potentially) used the memory syringes on Rebecca to keep their marriage in tact(more in a bit)? Some other reason which we will later find out? Is it why Sparrow can no longer turn into a Love Wolf? Or the final straw as to why he can't?
SPARROW, REBECCA AND THE SYRINGES - So. In s2 ep18 when Normal asks Sparrow if Rebecca knew about all the Doodler stuff, Sparrow says "Your mom doesn't know… about what's going on." ... "that's kind of how we… stayed married." Later, we get to know, from Hero, that Rebecca did in fact know what was happening - that she was involved in what happened to Hero when she was younger, "mom and dad, just sort of looked at me as like, the golden child. They weren't like with me, they were like demanding things of me." So potentially, Lark and/or Sparrow used the syringes on Rebecca cause she threatened their marriage over what happen with Hero. (POST)
Speaking of Hero's childhood - Other than what happened very obviously traumatising her, "they showed me a glimpse of the Doodler for a second and I cried for 3 weeks straight," it also very heavily strained her relationship with Normal: "I feel like things have been choppy between us for a while" ... "It felt like I shouldn't befriend you, cause I knew at some point I'd have to like, sacrifice myself heroically and I didn't want to make you lose me in that way, so I felt like 'I should just keep him at arms length.' " It is suck a stark contrast and parallel to the (toxically) codependent relationship Lark and Sparrow have
HENRY - The fact that Henry is the last of the dads that is alive is so depressing and so expected. He has elf blood and is a high level druid, of course he's still alive. He is (most probably - we don't know the situation with Mercedes and Birdie) alone, all of his closest friends are dead, his sons don't talk to him and because of that he probably hasn't seen his grandchildren in ages either. If something happened to Mercedes and Birdie and Henry is truly alone, there are parallels with Hildy's final years (this post and the tags)

I don't know how many people think about this, but I think about it a lot. The Jodie and Scam pairing feels so fucking random and unusual to me, like I can't get it out of my head how weird it is to me. Jodie basically a narc incarnate, a cop in his past life and kind of a loser get's paired up with the king of scams, who had no respect for authority and practically a chaos god.
Does that seem strange to anyone else????? Or just me??

Why did Sparrow sire the chosen one? Lark is clearly the more gung-ho between the two about defeating the Doodler. So why did the responsibility of continuing the line fall to Sparrow, especially since Lark clearly had such a big hand in rasing her anyways? This was clearly an intentional thing, right down to how she's named, so why Sparrow? Was it just because he already had a partner? Was it something else?

Odessy dads headcanons
Henry
- Personally I still question if Henry ever went to college to study geology bc how tf would he know what college is. But if he did he would have aced and half the time he had no idea what was happening, if he didn't he just showed up at the San Dimas Natural History Museum one day and started talking abt rocks.
- Rain is natures shower!
- Bites his nails, when he's nervous. His hand are very dry too so Mercedes makes sure he moisturises his hands.
- Great at building ikea furniture.
Darryl
- When Darryl was still in college he accidentally ate an edible (like a cookie or something similar) he did not go bad, but neither did he have the time of his life. Man just sat in a chair and stared straight ahead while his mind was getting lost in the void. The drug flowers gave him war flashbacks.
- Has matching shirts with Carol for when they go camping or do family stuff.
- He keeps a little shrine in his home with a picture of his dad, a rosary and a tiny statue of Mary.
- While Carol was at work and Grant at school, Darryl found a recipe about a charleston chew cheese cake. He failed and cried.
Ron
- Smells weirdly good like always, you'll never catch him slipping.
- A good boy
- Him and Samantha have this thing where every weekend they try a new kind of hobby bc Ron once said his hobby was being a business man.
- Eventually Ron got an actual schnauzer for Samantha on their anniversary and they names him Ron the Second (curtesy of Terry Jr.)
Glenn
- Subliminal hair care.
- Smells like leather and weed.
- Everyone expects him to be a cat person, but is actually a dog person.
- On a night when Glenn was drunk, stoned and sad he got Morgan's name as a trampstamp under the mistletoe that was already there
