hello!!
I'm trying to improve my art especially digital so I'm asking for any tips you or anything else you learned from your years of drawing!!!
also I LOVE your art and hope you have a great day!!
ohh thank you! Honestly outside of the generic 'use references' sort of tips... the best I could give is just don't aim for perfection I gave a similar tip a while ago where I mentioned to not be afraid to erase, this sort of goes hand in hand tbh, like take this concept work im making for a commission;
For this I used entirely one layer! I like to paint over my sketch lines a lot, because I know I can just refine it later one with brush strokes and erasing ^-^ In general, just being confident with your process and trusting you'll find your vision eventually is my method :] I find that messiness can add a lot of character to art, so I don't try to aim for perfection. I also like to experiment a lot with technique, which can be a fun way to explore outside my usual boundaries! (which is how I picked up 3D, actually) Anyways, sorry if this tip isn't super useful or rambling, im not too good at explaining my process for things...

Terribly sorry if you’ve already talked about this and I just didn’t notice, but how do you go about making your humanoid models in Blockbench?
No problem at all! I do have some previous answered asks that cover some of the things I use, like: Armature models for help with the upper body
2D planes for stylized eye expressions
Plus, a bonus dropbox link to my blockbench models, in case you ever want to pick them apart yourself! (Just don't use them for anything without asking of course)
Other than that, it's really just winging it! I have no shame in admitting I Frankenstein my models together to make new ones >:]

-Prices shown in the images are the base price, and may vary based on complexity of the commission
-Reference images are HIGHLY appreciated, the more the better!
-Changes in the rough planning phase are free, please make them there! Any changes made after will cost an additional 10usd per change (I will ask for confirmation before moving on from the rough phase, PLEASE do not abuse this!)
-Low poly model files will be sent in .bbmodel or .gltf format, as that's what im most accustomed to at this time.

hi hello this me asking mutuals things because it’s fun, episode one!
what are some tips you'd have in regards to getting started on digital painting (as in shading and rendering without line art)? your work is really well-made and has a lot of cool textures!!
Ooo hi!!
I think my biggest tip is don’t be afraid of erasing.
When i was just starting to get into painting I’d have so many layers because I was so afraid of messing up on a part I was really happy with, which led to the brush strokes being hesitant and stiff. Nowadays I tend to use only one layer for the whole piece!
I also like to block out the shapes and colors with broad, messy strokes, I think keeping the imperfections adds a lot of character to the art.
#ikachap#ask box#art tips#Honestly don’t be afraid to experiment#Half the fun of art is the puzzle of getting the idea on paper
