A Kaydet Girl’s Point of View
1️⃣Long distance relationship with a military man is learning to be independent and getting used to being alone while comforting yourself of happy memories you have with him just to get your mind out of the fact that something might happen to him.
2️⃣Accepting the distance as it is while seeing familiar faces with their significant others, as with you - you’re on your own.
3️⃣Not sleeping, eating, and performing well every time he’s in operation in land, along the sea, or flying an aircraft.
4️⃣Having to face challenges on your own and being extra strong because you’re geographically single.
5️⃣It also means no time wasted because you make it a point that every minute you have with each other is maximized.
6️⃣Adjusting to every changes in schedules and plans thereafter
It means being a patriot of your country - because you learn to be selfless and let the man of your life serve the country.
7️⃣You become one with him and become more understanding - his actions, his decisions, and his job are yours. You became a soldier yourself when you chose him.
8️⃣Knowing he’s not just into you but into your country also - because he’s willing to give up his life for it.
Stop ranting to him about his incapacities in your relationship. Always remember that he will always choose you, but this country needs him more than you do.

Loving a soldier won’t be easy

Love for his country
And his love for you
It may be complicated
But still give him your heart
Be there, make him stronger
Never tear him apart
He’ll grant you what you wish for
Fulfill your every need
He’ll treat you like a princess
A spoiled brat, indeed
So, if you love a soldier
Show him that you care
Try to understand him
