Eddie loved the teeny weeny age gap between him and his boyfriend (they were only four months apart). Usually, he'd sit down beside Steve and start their conversation with When I was your age... and proceeded to recount everything he'd done four months ago despite Steve having also been there for most of it.

Meanwhile, Steve loved telling everyone about his "older" boyfriend and how he didn't mind the age differences at all. He often earned odd looks for that and, sometimes, pamphlets from the elderly ladies he was talking with, but none of them could stop him from gushing about how cool and loving and caring Eddie was.

I am so completely taken by venetia, i think she is everything. She went through so much and i feel like we dont talk abt it enough.

The entire movie we re aware that she is battling anorexia and when she finally thought she found someone who could accept her as she was and someone who would love the more “disgusting” parts of her she was betrayed and let down and left alone in the cold.

Then theres the whole Henries thing, where everyone especially Elspeth, just sweep under the rug the fact that she would get touched or full on assaulted by them and elspeth just makes a silly quip “we can sit you next to oliver he ll molest you” and we just move on like its nothing.

And her final monologue is packed with so much pain and courage. Shes outwardly calling out oliver, shes putting a mirror up to his face and showing him what he is and that shes figured him out, as he stands there dumbfounded trying to get out of it.

And her death was so undeserving. We can see blood not only in the tub but also on the floor. Maybe showing that she regretted it and tried to get out to call for help but no one came and so she died alone knowing who put those blades there knowing she was betrayed and used in Olivers scheme to get to felix.

I just think Venetia Catton is brilliant.
