For context, in my donation message I had asked for Ford's reaction to Indigenous Australian folklore! The bunyip is a creature that is said to live in swamps, billabongs, creeks, and waterholes. There are many different descriptions of what the bunyip may look like, and in some stories they are described as a man-hunting creature that would lurk in bodies of water, waiting for their prey to come close to the water's edge.

Nightow uses the “delinquent stance” (hips jutted forward) & what he calls “Yasuhiko waist” for a lot of poses :)))

When determining the characters' signature poses, do you reference something in particular?

Nightow: Not really. I tend to decide as I redraw on paper. However, I often say "delinquent stance", should I say "Yasuhiko waist" (laughs), I like the stance where the hips are pushed forward and I often use it. Perhaps, something might have been cultivated from playing with action figures and searching for their signature poses. ぱふ, "Puff" Magazine, 1999.

I think “Yasuhiko waist” is a reference to Yasuhiko Yoshikazu (Mobile Suit Gundam artist) based on some research I found in this twt (and asking @/cerealandchoccymilk, ty!). Pics are from the twt.
