Goals: I still need to film some parts for my movie, like interview with my dad and how I visit some church buildings in Netherlands.

This is me making a “new path in a snow” to represent the question “Quo vadis ?” which is a Latin phrase meaning "Where are you marching?". It is also commonly translated as "Where are you going?" or, poetically, "Whither goest thou?".  With this question I want to invite people to reflect on our religious beliefs now-days and  think about what people will be believe in the future.

This is the last part in my movie about how the ”inside” has change in the  architecture of church, and because of that also the meaning of the church I still have to film this par myself, but for now  to show you the idea I wanted to use already existing footage.

I interviewed my grandmother, because she has built 8 different churches in Latvia. She likes classical architecture, so for me it was fun to ask her “Why?” . I got to know that actually for her it is like any other building and she does not search for a deeper meaning in why she is designing church in a specific way.  I represented that in my movie by showing funny parts of our conversation about function in church.

This I filmed in a church in Riga to have a feeling of “me looking back at myself when I was a kid” . So it becomes a dialogue between me now and me when I was a kid.

This picture I used in my movie to represent doubts I had about god when I was only a child.

My story...
This I wrote for a voiceover for my movie, but ended up using only some parts.
Hi! My name’s Felicita! I'm almost 21 and a half. Let me tell you my story! The most influential stories of my childhood were Latvian folk-tale sprīdītis. Movie Shrek, and a story that influenced me the most 3the life of Jesus Christ.
When at Sunday school I learned that this once-a-baby-suddenly-a-bearded-man was nailed to the cross with long nails piercing his palms and feet, I bursted out in tears. It was all my fault. I asked my mom - how could it happen? I don't remember the answer she gave me, but from that moment on more and more questions came to my mind.
Do animals go to heaven? How does God look? Why does he never come down to visit us? Can he read my thoughts? Will I go to hell? Who will I meet there?
Once I gathered all my courage and asked my strictly religious father - What if there's no heaven after we die, what if God is not real at all? Through my dad's anger I met God's anger. He doesn't like to be questioned. But these unanswered questions kept piling up.
From childhood I've been taught that believing in God isn't something to be ashamed about, Instead of doubting him You have to Preach the gods word. I tried to accept that up until the moment when my dad made us sing prayers before dining in a public restaurant.
The only prayer of mine that God made real was to make my parents divorce. No more singing prayers before meals.
In the course of time I stopped practicing other rituals. I prayed to God only before math exams. But the pile of questions were left unanswered.
But now 10 years later I have decided to find an answer to every single one of these questions. First
My grandma is an architect. She has built 8 different churches.

This is a trailer of another movie that deeply influenced me. Video collage is a visually stunning way of displaying different videos, and can be combined with music to really give a different, deeper, unexpected meaning.

Im inspired from this video artist who's work I saw one in Finland. He makes his movie in a video collage style. I wanted to make my movie in a similar way.
