Duke Raven. Now that’s a face Lockheart hasn’t seen in a while. Even with the events of the crystal palace being long since passed— the woman couldn’t help but wonder if there was any possible tension in-between them. Regardless, she doesn’t have much time to think on that now. The other clearly had something to say and it looked as if she was going to have to take the first step and approach him.

Looking out the window, Lockheart noticed what usually was a somewhat empty lot now seemed to be occupied by some type of… shop? Was that always there? She could’ve sworn it was empty just the day before… Oh wait, there’s still a bomb in her hands. She should probably handle that huh. Hopefully no one was in there.. or that it wouldn’t do too much damage. Waiting until the other detective returned back to his side of the office, Lockheart threw the pipe bomb out; quickly shutting the window behind her.

"Please don’t explode- I don’t want to possibly be charged with property damage again.."

Lockheart was in trouble, big trouble. From the moment she slipped on the banana to the second she realized collision was inevitable, she knew she was going to be in trouble. The detective barely had a moment to wince before she was hit with her brother’s anger. Well, at least he didn’t say her full name, that’s a good sign.. right?

"Brother- I.. um.. well-! You see- I’m.. so sorry- I didn’t mean to.. aauugh.."

With the way her head was spinning, it was difficult to form a proper apology. Lesson learned. Don’t run in the hallways. It’s never worth it.

The sound of her heels clacking increased as she picked up speed towards the door. "Brother!" Speeding down the hallway, Lockheart ran fully into the door with the intention of ramming it open for that ✨dramatic✨ effect. Of course, with it being Lockheart, that very much does not go as planned.

Disaster often plays in slow motion.

...In hindsight, maybe if she hadn't been running, she could stopped herself before she reached the banana peel, and maybe avoided running into said brother...

However, foresight didn't seem to be her strong suit. Not in the slightest.

There was a small thud, and then another larger thud as the two siblings landed on the cold hard floor.

There was no way she'd be able to quell the anger that she knew was coming.

She knew her brother. He was fucking explosive sometimes.

There was a gentle knock on the door, but when the budding detective went to open it, she found no one there. The only thing left was a small, red and golden box, and a small hand written note inside a glittery blue and white envelope. On the note was written in blue crayon:

Hew Hello Miss Lockheart!! You don’t know me (My name is Maw Mari!) but I’m one of your big brother’s students. And I heard there was this… weeding wedding ball going on, and everyone’s asking other people to go with them… and it sounds super fun ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝��� (I’m going play the violin at the party!)

But… Professor Narcissus was just gonna saty stay at the school! How lame is that? I heard from some of my outside friends that you’re gonna attend… if you aren’t already bringing someone, do you think you can bring Professor Narcisuss? He’ll never admit it, but he’s lonely sitting in the empty classroom all the time you know (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ

I think he’d be really happy if he got to spend some time with you, he misses you (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.ﾟ
