Leon nods along, only half listening to you. He's pretty sure he has a stupid smile on his face. But he can't help it, you look so beautiful. Your skin is glistening in the sun, the cool summer breeze pushing your hair back from your face.

It's also the dress. The way it sits contently against your body, the hem draping over your thighs as you sit cross-legged in front of him. Your sandwich remains neglected in your grip, waving it around as you continue animatedly telling your story.

Leon runs his bottom lip between his teeth, trying to suppress his smile. He's fighting a losing battle against himself, trying not to let his eyes linger to your lips. God, you look so kissable right now. How would you feel against him? Soft? Warm from sitting under the sun? Would he taste the strawberry you ate a few minutes ago?

He shifts on the picnic blanket, moving the basket out of the way. His eyes don't stray from your body as you lean back to rest against the large tree trunk under which the two of you had taken refuge.

A leaf flutters down, floating down in circles before landing on your shoulder. And you don't notice, still busy in sharing your tale.

Leon hums, steadying himself against one palm on the blanket, and then shifts closer to you, body dwarfing yours. His fingers brush against your exposed shoulder, flicking the leaf away. And his suspicion is confirmed; his skin warms like a cup of hot chocolate keeping him company on a cold winter day. He deeply inhales the scent of your vanilla perfume, close enough to count your eyelashes as your words stutter, gulping a little too hard.

All he needs is to lean down and capture your lips in his; so so easy.

His stomach flips, feeling his cheeks warm as your eyes widen at his sudden closeness. And it's too overwhelming for him. Feeling abashed, he retreats, running his hand through his bangs, a nervous chuckle rumbling through his body. "Sorry, baby," Leon murmurs, readjusting himself on the blanket, "What were you saying?"

hii i've been reading your blog for a little while, do you have any hcs at all about krauser. i am ravenous for him. even if its just something stupid like how he ties his shoes...

Hehe I have a few!!

I like to think his family (like his grandparents or great-grandparents) is probably from somewhere in Europe since that's where the surname "Krauser" originates-- it looks like it's mainly German but can also be found in other areas. I'm partial to the Slavic headcanon since I've seen people trace is to Bohemia in the Czech Republic.

I feel like he was probably more or less forced to join the military, like it was predetermined for him since that's what all of the men in his family did, so that's what was expected of him.

Definitely a closeted gay guy, and that was further complicated by his position in the military.

Him and Leon definitely had a deep bond, and I think part of that was inspired by him taking pity on Leon and understanding that Leon didn't want to really be here. And while Krauser was still mostly content with being in the military, he could somewhat relate to Leon because him being there was also more or less decided for him.

He was definitely into cars and motorcycles and stuff like that so Leon would come over to see what he was doing and Krauser would be covered in sweat and grease wearing a faded tank top with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

This is inspired by the fact that Krauser's VA based his voice on the lead singer of Metallica but I feel like Krauser would definitely enjoy them and other, similar bands.
