my advice to everyone is to stop identifying with your mental illness or disorders. centering your identity around being unwell will inhibit you from reaching a destination where you are well.

Im sure that works. But also, when Max wins their fight he pins Furiosa to the ground and shoots 3 bullets by her head to get her to stop fighting. Bullets are extremely precious in that world and he uses 3 to no kill her when he could have used 1 to kill her and end the fight that way. He had every right to kill her, she was trying to kill him, but he went out his way to not kill her. By the standards of that world that basically makes him a saint. From then on she trusts him completely, it's one of my favourite aspects of the film just because it's never stated but makes complete sense when you realise it.
Not everyone has seen Furiosa yet, so I won’t spoil. But man, the character, Praetorian Jack, really reveals a lot about how Furiosa sees Max in Fury Road, and I can’t deal with it.

Michonne first fell for Rick when he bit a mans throat out. Him beating a man to death to hide the evidence of murdering another guy is NOT something she's bothered by

Rick Grimes
Michonne after she sees this
Lots of speculation on when these two fell in love in the original timeline— here’s my personal head canon:
Michonne falls for Rick when he kills the claimers. I always felt like this was true and when Danai confirmed it I just knew I could always trust their vision. I started shipping Richonne together in the “must’ve been something else” era but I wasn’t actually expecting AMC to have the balls to follow through. but Michonne’s “you’re okay because I’m okay” moment sparked the hope that this relationship was really happening, just off the symbolism of what this moment meant for her. She’s never felt like she had someone who could step up to protect her but Rick fully proves himself in that episode. That is a man who would do anythinggggg to protect his family. And after the way she lost Andre, she could never trust her heart to a man unless he had that level of grit to protect his own.
I think she’s consciously aware of her love for him as they entered those gates at Alexandria. She doesn’t tend to initiate physical contact with Rick, but this moment with him and the kids in the car is an exception. This is her recognizing exactly how hard this journey has been for Rick and she knows that he did it anyway. For her. He lets her lead him into the future and she’s starting to see that it could be one where maybe in some capacity there’s a future together for real(it’s already real she’s literally a mother to his kids and his closest confidant and he stares at her ass at every opportunity). Ricks shenanigans with Jessie set things back but I think she already knew her own feelings. Just questioned whether they were reciprocated.
I think for Rick, he falls in love with her after she tracks them back in S4. I don’t think he knows it yet but the way he slid down that door in happiness cannot ever be anything but loverboy behavior. This man is elated to see her and 100% would have been okay just staying holed up in that house indefinitely. And the next day he straight up asks her to commit to coparenting with him, so clearly this man isn’t trying to risk a separation ever again
He consciously understands the depth of his feelings for her outside those gates of Alexandria(or in the moments leading up to it). Because that man would have never walked into that community if not for Michonne’s sake(not even mentioning the 100 mile march to get there). He tells her he’s struggling with how “the rules keep changing” in part because he knows she’s the one and the implications of pursuing that are monumental for him and his kids. Who else matters enough for this much self reflection?
Ofc we have to wait for Rick to deal with his PTSD rebound first, but the foundation is right here. These two were already it for each other, they just needed to feel safe enough to lean into it.
Y’all let me know if your timeline is any different.

"taken" style action movie where a man searches for his wife. as he fights baddies in gunfights and hand-to-hand combat, it's slowly revealed that:
his wife hasn't been kidnapped
their marriage is not healthy or functional
this guy isn't rescuing his wife, he's hunting her down
his wife is a crime boss, those are her henchpeople he's fighting in a john-wick bloodbath
the tension builds until, drenched in blood, our protagonist steps forward for the final showdown. he pulls a manila envelope from his bullet-torn jacket and throws it at his wife's feet. he's just spent an entire trilogy biting & killing & maiming....all so he can deliver his shit wife her divorce papers

Well, I haven't read the latest book yet. But does she use the r word to describe autistic people, or does a character in the book use the r word to describe autistic people? Because those are not the same thing
Aside from how appallingly written JK Rowling’s new book is, I want to take a moment to address this particular absolute piece of fucking shit (am I talking about the author or the writing? You decide)
If she maybe took five fucking minutes to pull her head out of her ass and do her damn research, maybe she’d understand what “spoons” are and why they’re used by the disabled community (such as myself, an autistic woman)
Like other than the fact this new 1200 page book is literally just her giving herself yet another platform to whinge about being called out for being a hateful bigot on social media, with at least a dozen pages dedicated to fake tweets she’s written, this is just tasteless and ableist. Anyone supporting her by buying this book is actively participating in supporting not only transphobia, but also ableism too (and that’s just from what I’ve seen from screenshots of the pages online)
It’s laughable that anyone out there can claim she supports disabled people / women, and even more laughable that certain Fantastic Beasts fans have come to me claiming she made Newt Scamander autistic, why am I thanking Eddie over her etc, when THIS is how she herself writes autistic people. She did not make any character intentionally autistic - this is the result when she does, and it’s disgusting.
At this point, I don’t care whether you support Potter/Beasts or not, I don’t care if you want to justify buying the new Hogwarts game, I care about how you respond to this disgusting ableist bullshit. If you support Rowling in any shape or form, block me. I mean it. Block me right fucking now. I don’t give a shit, block me and fuck off.
#im not even defending jkr#she's a billionaire who lives in a castle#she doesn't need me to defend her#but if your going to complain about someone#complain about the stuff they're actually doing/saying#don't whinge about a crime novel including things/views that aren't nice#epecially not when said novel frames those things/views as being bad#avoid these things of they upset you#but not everyone is willing to filter their communication or work though what is comfortable to you#nor should they have to

I haven't read the book, I'm not going to read the book. But I've seen some wildly out of context screenshots, so that makes me entitled to pass judgement on something I know nothing about and people I know nothing about. That's a weird attitude, it's even weirder to get upset that the book frames that type of attitude as weird and harmful. You're strawmanning yourself

J.K. Rowling’s latest novel is about a famous writer who gets hounded and abused by people on social media
…..more specifically, by “self-righteous children’s fantasy fans.”
You gotta be fucking kidding me.

Seriously though, when he took that job, he probably assumed it would be mostly ordering around superheroes and doing pragmatic but morally dubious things to keep the world safe. I doubt he imagined he would be spending quite so much time dealing with complaints from one particular woman
I will never be over the fact that Debbie Grayson is an average suburban mom who does realtor work but is also the one woman on the entire planet with the ability to walk into the most highly secure government building in the country just to bitch out their boss.

I love how every single post about the titan is like five paragraphs of op justifying why it’s actually so morally correct to meme on the deaths of five people because three of them were wealthy businessmen and then one sentence at the end that gives a shoutout to the migrants who died in the Mediterranean with absolutely zero compassion or understanding of their circumstances either.
