this is me . God this is ME. half of my characters are either inspired in some way to my current blorbo, whether it be arc, personality, role or some other obscure detail I chopped off the main body, and then the OTHER half of my characters are based of the fannon inyerpretations of a trio of main characters from a defunct show that i haven't seen in years. I gotta physically restrain myself from writing the same dynamic over and over again (though I am getting better at it)

being an artist and revisiting media you liked when you were 11 is like. oh ok. this shaped my sense of humor and the way I write characters and the way I pace narratives and the tropes I'm drawn to. and I vastly underestimated how much of an impact it had on me because I literally have not thought about it for 15 years. but it was there inside me the whole time. ok. ok cool! c ool

every artist either thinks they are the best or they are the worst regardless of their art style, personally, I have no favorites but let me tell you, your art looks so edible and it would taste like malungay pandeal (　＾ω＾) (BIGGEST COMPLEMENY MALUGAY PANDALSAL GOT ME GOING)

i think we've done a great job expanding the view of what a child's favorite animal can be. kids these days can say they love axolotls or pangolins or coelecanths and their decision is respected. maybe their parents can even find them a stuffed animal of it if they know where to look. and i think that's beautiful

Not to go "if you have ADHD just go for a run" or anything, but I am so serious if you have ADHD you should regularly go outside, no headphones no phone no nothing and just stand and observe for a while until you've had enough. Not until you get bored, until you've had enough. Drink your coffee without watching tiktok. Have a bath without music. Turn down the volume in your headphones. I cannot overstate how much learning to be bored is cruicial with ADHD. Life is not just about pleasure, no matter what your dysregulated dopamine system thinks, and when you teach your brain to be okay with being bored, then boring tasks stop feeling like torture. By letting yourself be bored you are yoinking your system out of the high/low binary and allow for the highs to feel like actual highs and not just anything that isn't low. I am so serious go literally touch grass. Listen to the sounds in your flat. Stimulate your body the way it was designed. It lowers anxiety and makes you feel like you're real and best of all it's completely free

Puppet’s dead, Eclipse now has to take care of Charlie, Foxy and FC just left because it was too painful for them to stay, it’s not entirely clear if Andrew went with them being connected to FC and all, and Jake and Andy still need to be rescued.

The entire unstable support system Eclipse built for himself is gone, all he has is Ballora,, Sunshine, and Moonshine who don’t understand

at some point you have to realize that you actually have to read to understand the nuance of anything. we as a society are obsessed with summarization, likely as a result of the speed demanded by capital. from headlines to social media (twitter being especially egregious with the character limit), people take in fragments of knowledge and run with them, twisting their meaning into a kaleidoscope that dilutes the message into nothing. yes, brevity is good, but sometimes the message, even when communicated with utmost brevity, requires a 300 page book. sorry.

genuinely saw this when I was testing all my stories on the bechdel test, one of my stories, that I would say is the most diverse in terms of cast and message technically did not pass because there were no female characters .. nor where there male characters. bc most of the cast was non human and i usually like to write non humans as agender who present male or female, and the only human is trans male.

Gripping you by the collar and staring intensely into your eyes saying “the Bechdel Test can tell you absolutely nothing about the feminist qualities of individual works of fiction nor was it ever meant to. It’s a commentary on the broader state of mass media. Even the comic strip it originates from ends on a punchline about how the test is sorta dumb because Alien passes purely by the technicality that the only two female characters talk to each other about the Xenomorph which, despite being a literal giant walking phallus, is genderless strictly speaking. Stop using it to appraise whether an individual movie is feminist or not oh my fucking god.”

THE BECHDEL TEST FOR ALL OF MY STORIES.

tried to do them in order of first made to most recently conceptualized but right after about scorching nights it was a guessing game.

(9/16) pass with all 3 (14/16) pass with 2

I think the main struggle was 'talk abt something other than men' which honestly, sad.

I tend to have less male characters than female but the inequality seems to be that the male characters tend to be the leads, so the female characters kinda have to warp around that.

- actually just checked out of the 16 stories here 5 of them have male leads ... corresponding to the 5 that did not pass 'talk about something other than a man' ??😭😭🙏

-actually just fact checked again, Rebels Rising is fem leaded and losed, creativity is male lead and passed (the only one that did!)

notes; despite probably being my most diverse story, Styro basically nearly failing everything because I do not have any cis or trans girlies in there is so crazy

like I heard that no one knew what Agender was and every single non human semi divine character I have is now Agender.

I am not being generous to myself smile :) like I am aware I did not give gender to half the cast in spinner the space squirrel but I was not about to magic two of them into a girl just to win over the test.

though i am proud most of the ones that failed were old stories, or ones so under developed all i have is one or two characters.

you can tell which stories are in concept stage or writing if I mention a specific scene or conversation instead of just broad 'yeah they'd talk based on enviroment / social standing / ect'😭😭

for some of the old ones I had to go through their docs to see their names, stories n convos again and let me tell you i really regretted not finishing half of the ones I snooped into. looking back at them I was so inspired.

especially Creativity- there was so much (platonic) chemistry I wrote in for Rune, Izel and Orion... (Orion is Izels brother) also a lot of baggage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I did not include two stories because they genuinely are not good enough for this test
