I was talking with my housemate about how to be more physically active if youâre not used to it at all because everywhere youâre told to start a training routine where you push yourself a little every day, and while that may seem easy for some people it can be really fucking daunting if you start from zero.
As someone who comes from a very physically active family that doesnât exercise just for the sake of exercising but do things like walk to the grocery store and bike to work, hereâs my advice that has always worked for me:
Go super duper easy on yourself.
If you want to walk more start by walking for 3 or 5 minutes. The shortest possible walk you feel youâre capable of. A trip around the block or across the yard. You donât need to sweat or get your blood pumping. Just a short stroll. The hardest part is to convince yourself to set aside 5 minutes every day to go on this short walk but nothing else about it should be hard. Do it every day and one day youâll realize that you donât want to go home just yet. Itâs very important that you donât think âI want to pressure myself to walk furtherâ but rather âI havenât spent all my walking energy yet. I have more walk in meâ and only then do you lengthen the walk. I repeat, at no point should it be exhausting or difficult because even when it feels easy your body will be building muscle and stamina and it will eventually feel too easy and youâll naturally want to crank it back up to easy again.
If youâre not used to being physically active it might not make a ton of sense when I say that youâll have more walking energy left but trust me, youâll get it when you get there.
I grew up with going on evening walks with my parents and passed that on to other housemates who didnât get it at first but are now going on walks long after they moved somewhere else. Because once you get the hang of it youâll realize how calming it is on the brain to move the body even if the body isnât exhausted afterwards.
And it of course helps to entertain yourself especially in the beginning. My housemate started out listening to audiobooks and podcasts but eventually realized PokĂŠmon Go was the best motivator. Whatever you feel like you want to do on your 5 minute easy stroll.

hey psa to my fellow fat ppl: a few tips + tutorials for upsizing clothing thatâs too small, that way if youâve grown out of certain stuff and canât afford new things, you can make it fit youâ this has helped me a lot in the pastÂ
my tips:
cutting off just the neckline of a shirt/dress can help SO much
cutting slits on the sides of tight shirts helps relieve tightness + you can add an accent fabric, lace, or fishnet material under there for an extra design element (or safety pin it back together for a really cool punk look!)
you can do that same thing with sleeves but i recommend doing it underneath (either on the seem if it has one or to the seem that connects it to the shirt)Â
adding false pleats to skirts/dresses by cutting them up the sides and in the front and adding an accent fabric works really well with tightness around the legs
you can do a lot of these side-cut things to pants but if you do, itâs a good idea to add elastic to the waist band!Â
tutorials:
4 ways to upsize shirts
how to refit/re-elastic a waistband for a better fit
more upsizing shirts!
making a lace insert dress (could be substituted for other things like mesh/fishnet)
increasing the waist band on jeans
how to enlargen shorts
expanding a dress (from the bottom)
expanding a dress (from the bust)

What itâs like to be slut-shamed when buying birth control
Even when pharmacists do let people access contraception, whether emergency contraception or condoms or prescription birth control pills, the process isnât always free of judgment. In a series of recent online discussions, people across the country have begun to share stories of the stigma theyâve experienced. As many have pointed out, this can be especially damaging to teens.

BODYSHARE is OUT NOW!!!
BODYSHARE is a queer fantasy novella that follows Luke Milton, a recent college graduate and divorcee who, in exchange for success in his music career, agrees to share his body with the devil.
You can purchase the novella HERE!!!
Luke Milton made a deal with the devil. Now, he's getting everything he ever wanted: musical opportunities, charting albums, world tours, and a thriving fanbase. The only cost? His body, which he now shares with the devil itself as it goes about its mysterious business. All in all, the tradeoff isn't too bad. He's also always wanted an intimate connection.
After both his college diploma and his divorce papers are signed, twenty-two-year-old Luke Milton is approached by the devilâan energetic force that's been present in one way or another for his whole lifeâwho lauds him with praise for his musical skill and insists that it could help him further his career. When initial reviews of his EP are shaky, it doesn't take long before Luke is agreeing, even though the terms of the deal require him making space in his body for the devil the share.
Luke's career develops rapidly, and so does his relationship with the devil. As they work together through album releases and world tours, they become further and further intertwined, and Luke has to wonder if it's worth it.
Explore fame, self-worth, and sacrifice in this queer fantasy thriller.

you tell a bitch to keep their cat indoors and suddenly their town is the first in the world to have eradicated every viral, bacterial and parasitic disease, they invented completely harmless cars, dogs and predators dont exist either but somehow the native songbird population is fine since the cats in this place have lost the hunting instinct, there's no pollutants or toxic plants and human cruelty has ceased to exist. and mr mittens has a chip in his brain that will explode if he doesnt go outside 10 hours of the day

It wrinkles my brain that Jupiterâs moon Europa has oceans that are sixty miles deep, while Earthâs oceans only reach seven miles deep at most. Iâm willing to bet good money that thereâs life in Europaâs oceans. Like five bucks. You hear me, NASA? I bet you five bucks that thereâs life on Europa⌠Now that thereâs money and reputation on the line, I bet they send a mission there real quick.

When someone looks at abstract art and is like âugh, I couldâve made thatâ itâs likeâŚyeah? You think you couldâve? I like how those squiggles and splatters look, and how the colors play against each other, and I bet you could make something like that too. Wanna give it a try? Iâve got acrylics and tape and cardboard we could experiment on. Itâs fun to break art and composition down to its bare essentials without worrying about things like representation or naturalism. Come on, letâs paint some lines.
