as    of    now,    vicky    is    going    to    be    placed    on    an    indefinite    hiatus    for    a    number    of    reasons    -    i’ve    been    feeling    a    little    weird    on    vicky    lately,    muse    for    her    has    just    wandered    off    &    left    me    in    the    lurch,    &    life    sucks.    i’m    not    entirely    sure    when    i’ll    be    back,    if    i’m    being    completely    honest.    if    you    wish    to    stay    in    contact  /  still    write    with    me,    you    can    ask    for    my    d/iscord    or    my    other    muse.

How much more could he alienate himself? After he lost Tommy, Carol, Vicky, and everybody else, the only person he really had left was Nancy. He never even noticed how Nancy was distancing herself from him. And now she was gone ; getting into Jonathan’s car after admitting she didn’t love him.  ( Shit. )  He’s really backed himself into a corner this time. He’s totally alone. No friends, no girlfriend – just him. But, somehow, he was still pushing people even further.

And, sometimes, he thinks about what things would be like if he was still  ‘ King Steve ’  . Maybe it wouldn’t have felt so shitty when this new kid showed up and kicked him down the social ladder. Maybe losing Nancy wouldn’t have hurt this much. Maybe he’s still have friends. He’d still be an asshole, though, wouldn’t he? He doesn’t know if it’s worth that.

Vicky’s words dig into him. In a way, she’s right. He made the decision to stop being friends with them and he’s the one that pushed away. At the surface, it really is his fault, isn’t it? That’s what he thinks at least.  ( It’s what he knows, whether he admits it all the time or not. )  So his brow furrows and he shakes his head looking away briefly. His upcoming words are sharp and an almost desperate attempt to win this argument  –  ( immature )  – but maybe he should just leave already.

HER    MEAN    GIRL    ASSAULT        !        on    steve    was    becoming    an    occurence    she    was    quickly    regretting          ---          a    fun    bout    of    intimidation    turning    sour    in    her    mouth,      tongue    not    liking    the    taste    it    left.            perhaps    it    was    the    coursing    fire    in    her    veins,      the    alcohol    in    her    system,      that    pushed    the    growing    argument    further    instead    of    letting    it    be          ---          she    should    have    just    let    him    be.

❛ ❛      you    have    got    to    be    fucking    kidding    me        !      ❜ ❜               words    passing    lips    holding    a    much    heavier    volume    than    ones    prior.            no    doubt    a    few    standing    close    by    heard,      a    couple    drunken    teenagers    gazing    their    way    only    to    return    to    their    escapades    shortly    after.            a    laugh    of    sorts    left    her,      dry        &        disbelieving.               ❛ ❛      i    was    nothing    but    civil    to    little    miss    sunshine        .    .    .        for    your    sake.      ❜ ❜               it    was    no    secret    that    vicky    held    no    love    for    nancy    wheeler,      nasty    words    leaving    her    once    her    back    was    turned,      like    a    shimmering    knife    dug    into    her    spine          /          she    could    have    been    a    little    nicer    to    her    face    sure,      ignore    her    a    little    less,      but    she    would    not    have    classified    that    as    being    an    asshole          ---          not    entirely.            like    she    said,      that    was    her    being    civil,      vicky    could    have    been    much    worse.            steve    was    her    friend    above    everything    else,      &        while    she    didn’t    agree    with    most    of    the    girls    he    pursued,      vicky    would’ve    always    tried          ---          she    failed    a    majority    of    the    time    because    her    dislike    got    the    better    of    her,      but    she    always    tried        (      in    her    own    twisted    way.      )
