YUNG LOTHA BIO

Lonwabo Kose, is a Johannesburg-based producer(born February 25), known professionally as Yung Lotha, he's a South African record producer, executive producer and songwriter.

Yung was introduced to music by his cousin Yanga Welcome Baleni at the age of 6. Yung became more interested in music and then he was introduced to producing by his neighborhood friends 2014. This happened when his father bought him a laptop and he got a copy of the music production software FruityLoops.

Initially, Yung wanted to make beats for his cousin, and started making beats so that he could give him beats to rap over. However, he eventually turned his full attention towards hip hop production.

Yung is mostly known for working with a lot of young upcoming artists around Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban. He is a versatile producer when it comes to his craft. He recently produced TweezyKing EP titled Me, Myself & I and JahMaine's Black EP. TweezyKing On It Ft. Yung Lotha produced by Yung Lotha debuted on top 40 Urban Charts on Inanda FM.

Yung specialise in the afro, RNB, trap and trapsoul sub-genres of Hip hop, Yung Lotha utilities a distinctive mix of heavy bass, dark chord progressions and dark ambient melodies. He is inspired by Metro Boomin, Turbo, Wheezy, Quay Global, 40 Noah, Nav, DJ Maphorisa, Makwa Beats, KayR Bits and many more.
