summary - Zuko takes y/n to the fire nation royal palace and you have a nightmare so you go into Zuko's room and he comforts you.

note - AHH my first EVER fanfic! this is so exciting and I hope you guys enjoy it!

You woke up with sweat all over your body, you were practically shaking in fear. You’ve never had a bad dream like this before. You got up and tried to look more presentable in an attempt to clear your head. It didn't work. You silently opened the door so that no one would wake up, and you went for a walk. You got lost quickly seeing how huge the palace is and no one being there to guide you. You tried to find your room again but instead stumbled across Zuko’s room. You were half asleep at this point so you opened the door and entered his room.

“Zuko” you whispered

“y/n?” he replied sleepily “what are you doing here?”

“ok so don't make fun of me but I kind of had a nightmare and I was wondering if I could...sleep here, with you”

he looked at you with a confused expression on his face

“If not it's totally fine! I can find somewhere else to sleep but seeing how you're the only person I know here I wanted to see if I could stay here”

“y/n of course you can” he says

“Really?” you ask

“Really” he replied

“Thank you so much! I promise I'll only take up a bit of the bed” you whisper since you can see he’s half asleep.

You crawl into the bed careful not to touch Zuko. As uncomfortable as it was, you were just happy that he let you sleep there.

“are you comfortable? you can move in more” he says

“I'm fine Zuko, your the firelord It's already so inappropriate that I'm sleeping in the same bed as you” you answer

“I'm not your firelord, I'm your friend, but if you wanna play that card as your firelord I order you to move in and get comfortable” he told you

“You got me there” you laugh as you shift closer to him. He wraps his arm around you and you can't help but blush

“i-is this ok?” he asks

“Perfect” you responded

“Is this actually happening? Am I cuddling with the firelord? The man I had a crush on for years?”

“I have a confession to make” he admitted

“What is it Zuko?” you respond

“I-Really really like you, I had a crush on you since the day I met you”

You turned around to look at him to make sure he wasn’t lying

“So… do you like me back?” he says softly

You press a quick kiss to his lips and say “does that answer your question”

He hold you closer and he kisses you again, this time longer then the other

“Yeah, it does” he smiled

You bury you face into his chest and the both of you fall asleep.
