Is Perry trans?

This is being brought up again because of a new MML episode, where Doof merges human DNA with platypus DNA.

Oh, and happy pride month everyone!!

First, we have the episode of PNF called “Perry Lays An Egg”. Basically Phineas finds an egg next to Perry and immediately assumes it’s Perry’s. Of course, only a female platypus lays eggs. It’s not really certain if Phineas, Ferb AND Candace just don’t know Perry’s gender, they do call Perry he/him, whether or not they chose to ignore this for “platypuses lay eggs” I still like to think that Perry is a semiaquatic trans icon and everyone knows and supports him

Hmm!! Yes,,, Next we have episode “Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?” where Candace and Perry accidentally bodyswap. Candace, while inside Perry’s body, starts sweating milk, which is something only female platypuses do. Another thing to note is that only male platypuses have venomous spurs and we haven’t seen Heinz poisoned or pricked or anything. Hopefully.

If Perry’s body was impacted by the bodyswap, then shouldn’t have Candace’s too?

And back to the new content! In the MML episode “Escape”, Heinz creates a new living being using Cavendish DNA and platypus DNA, which he says he “had on hand.” Cavenpuss lays eggs onscreen during this episode.

Perry is definitely not the only teal platypus in the pnfverse. Whether it is Perry’s DNA or not is uncertain though likely (why wouldn’t Heinz store locks of Perry’s fur for safekeeping??) If it is, then Cavenpuss shouldn’t have been able to lay eggs (unless of course Cavendish is trans, but that’s another story)

Also!! Something not necessarily directly relevent, but in Perry’s theme song he’s referred to as “an egg-laying mammal”.

So, we have three pieces of evidence that are inconclusive but highly suggestive of Perry actually being trans.

It isn’t too far fetched either, with Swampy saying that some characters within MML are in the LGBT community. Bonus image:

the dynamic between heinz doofenschmirtz and perry the platypus would probably come off as v romantic and gay if they were two people in a similar age range rather than a dude and a platypus. no i dont ship them but think about it. villainous monologues are already a very romantic and gay thing in itself (don’t question me on this you know im right). listening to somebody ramble excitedly about something they’re proud of is even more romantic and cute af. also doofensmirtz is already gay anyway. the only thing preventing this from becoming Peak Gay is the fact that perry is strictly professional and also a platypus. thanks for coming to my ted talk
