how did you get into local radio it's my dream!!!!

totally by accident! i started volunteering at a local art space, and during orientation i learned they also operate the local radio station and one of the ways people can volunteer is by reviewing music for swears and radio-friendliness. so i've been doing music review, and i also joined the task force to help with marketing stuff, making clips for socials promoting ppl's shows, which has gotten me in regular contact with the station manager and other djs. and i just asked if they were looking for more djs so i could make sure i was available when training and auditions started up, which happened a few months later!

i'm sure if you reached out to your local station and asked how you could get involved, they'd have a job for you!
