hi. you've all heard from me on various posts, in different ways to encourage donating to different palestinian fundraisers. it is beyond clear that people have grown complacent the longer the genocide goes on. a numbness has entered into the dialogue around what people will say or be willing to do to help people in a time of crisis. and i cry.

we cannot give up on these fundraisers or these people. they are people. they are brothers and mothers and sisters and fathers and friends and lovers and everything in between.

for the first time since we started doing short-term goals, my friend Siraj @siraj2024 has not met his goal. we are still 901 CAD from this newest goal.

he would like to reach 70k by today. he needs to reach this goal to be able to buy a water generator for him and his family. 23 lives are looking to him, and to US to raise that money.

there is a very big difference i think between "i was and am a semi-public figure/niche internet microcelebrity and it felt incredibly weird and gross to have strangers speculate on my gender identity" and "my friend who i personally know joked that i might be trans and that helped me figure a lot out" and I think a lot of egg discourse happens when someone acts like these are both the same thing that should be treated the same

Not to arouse pity, something happened to me today and I wanted to tell you about it. Today my sister shared with me a simple but deep and touching dream... She dreamed that she was eating chocolate - a small pleasure but dear to her heart. In all innocence, she told me that she wished to die so that she could eat everything she loved in heaven. Cuz for 400 days in this war we have not tasted chocolate and many things due to famine. Maybe it was a simple dream, but her thinking made me see life in a different way, how many small pleasures we sometimes deprive ourselves of, and now we realize them in the midst of this war.
