In the end, judging either Dean or Sam for what they experienced or how they reacted as children growing up in a brutally unhealthy environment IS WEIRD. Choosing your favorite traumatized child and then demonizing the other one for having a different experience of trauma IS BIZARRE.

I sincerely hope you do not look at real-life traumatized children who've grown up in abusive, unhealthy environments and go, "hmmm. Well, this one is my favorite; the one I will champion and glorify! Because I really like how sympathetically they handled that trauma.

Not that other kid though! That kid handled their childhood trauma in a sucky way I don't relate to or find sympathetic. Have they considered being a more sympathetically abused child??? Have they considered that they are not being as adoring of my personal favorite abused child as I think they should be????"

Friends, this is WEIRD!!! That would be an fucked up harmful way to view any kid, in and of itself!

if it wasn’t real, why treat it like a threat?

this is one of my favorite things to say when it comes to larry stylinson — not because it “proves” anything in itself, but because it forces you to look at how the situation was handled, not just what was said. not through PR statements or interviews, but through reaction. and reactions reveal a lot more than pre-written denials ever could.

every single one of the boys was shipped with each other at some point. it’s the nature of stan culture, especially in a fandom built around a boyband. but there’s something very specific about how larry was policed — not teased, not shrugged off, not even gently denied. no, larry was shut down in a way that no other ship was. not ziam. not niam. not narry. not nouis, zarry, lilo, lirry, ziall. larry, and only larry, was made into a liability.

and i really think that should make people pause.

because if it wasn’t real — just a baseless fan theory like they all claimed — why treat it like a threat?

why the deliberate separation of louis and harry in interviews for years?

why the literal management email leaks instructing the team to “separate them” and make sure they “aren’t seen together”?

why were interactions between them cut from tour videos and behind-the-scenes footage?

why the strange fixation on discrediting this ship specifically, even years after the band broke up?

and meanwhile — ziam, which has its own fair share of moments and theories — was joked about openly. and no one batted an eye.

the difference in treatment is staggering, and the excuse of “well it got too big” doesn’t fully explain it. yes, the larry fandom was and is massive — but so were solo stans. so were antis. so were ziam shippers. and yet larry is the only one that has been treated like a literal PR crisis by everyone involved.

it goes beyond just denying it. it was erased. it was made taboo. and people need to ask themselves why? — especially if they believe, truly, that it was never real to begin with.

because if something was truly just a delusion — if it was “crazy larries reading into nothing” — it would’ve faded. it would’ve been laughed off. it wouldn’t require 15 years of damage control.

you don’t blacklist, censor, and separate people over a joke.

you don’t manufacture fake girlfriends and push coordinated narratives unless something needs covering.

you don’t treat something like a threat unless it threatens something real.

so again i say:

if it wasn’t real, why treat it like a threat?
