It's been a week since Heeseung squirmed his way into your life - and it's been nothing but a rollercoaster ride. You don't know how you're gonna survive until graduation.

Well, you only had roughly about 3 weeks until then, and you were internally hoping that they would fly by quickly. But for now, you were onto the first step of finally being free of Heeseung.

College applications.

You definitely wanted to go to the University of Fashion Arts with Yunho. You were more of a person to design, while Yunho was one to model. Leeseo, on the other hand, wanted to be a doctor and would be going to med school.

The only issue is that the university is in California. And right now, you're in South Korea. But that didn't matter, right? As long as you were pursuing your passion it didn't matter where the college was located.

You're currently sitting in the school's computer lab, attaching documents to your email to the school's headmistress. Yunho and Leeseo accompanied you as well, sending emails to colleges of their preference.

It was oddly silent between the three of you. For such a chaotic friend group, when it came to serious situations like these, it was hard to be that chaotic friend group.

If you weren't so focused on your applications, you probably would've asked yourself what Heeseung was up to. After Yunho revealed that his first ever crush, Zoa, is back in Korea and attending this school, you assume that he was probably having the time of his life with his first love.

Must be nice, you think.

You click the 'send' button on your email and get up to stretch your joints. "Going to the canteen for water. Do you guys want anything?" You ask your two best friends, making them both look up from their computer screens. Leeseo asks for water as well, while Yunho requests a boxed juice.

You exit the computer lab and make your way to the stairs to get to the canteen faster. However, on your way through the halls, you hear two voices. You see a door open and look inside.

It's Heeseung and a girl. Presumably, Zoa, from what Yunho told you. She's sitting next to him, really close. She'd taken a chair and put it so close to him that the chair leg was practically on his toe. On top of that, she was continously poking his cheeks and caressing his face. Did you really have to walk in on this?

Heeseung notices you and calls your name in a panic, like he wanted you to help. "(Name)!" He exclaims, making Zoa halt her actions and turn to the door.

"Oh, is this the girl you were talking about? She's so pretty!"

It was hard to find her annoying when she immediately complimented you on seeing your face. Although you were supposed to go to the canteen, you felt compelled to walk in and talk to the two of them. So you do. "Hi," you greet them awkwardly, Zoa smiling brightly while Heeseung sits there quietly.

"Heeseung has told me so much about you, (Name)! I'm sure it's the same for you, right? Does he ever talk about me?"

"No, actually. He never told me about you."

"Oh."

The once soft and calm atmosphere was now one of tension and silence.

"Well, that's okay! Let's have a girl talk, one-on-one. Heeseung, I'll be back." She says loudly, trying to lighten up the mood. She takes your hand and takes you outside, far enough where Heeseung couldn't hear your conversation.

Zoa's sweet smile immediately drops, and it scares you. She stares you straight into your eyes.

"Heeseung told me about his little crush on you. And trust me, if I have competition, that's no issue at all. It makes it more fun."

"Huh? What? What do you mean competition?"

"Well, we both like Heeseung, right? So you're my competitor. And I'm yours."

What the fuck was this girl on?

"Look, it's not like that -"

Zoa shushes you, and then she continues speaking. "I knew him since we were born. Don't think you can just strut in here and take him from me. So, good luck, competitor."

This girl was crazy. She had to be. You're meeting her for the first time, and she wants to be rivals because her childhood friend doesn't have feelings for her anymore? Talk about possessive. By the time you shake yourself out of your thoughts, Zoa is gone, probably with Heeseung again.

You run back up the stairs to the computer lab. Your heart was beating out your chest. This is the most anxious someone has made you feel in years. You practically bust open the door to the lab. Thank goodness only your friends were in there.

"Where are our drinks?"

Oh yeah.

The drinks.

You leave the lab again. but turning to the left instead of the right like earlier.

You think you'll take the longer way this time.

"Hey, have you seen (Name)?" Asks Heeseung to Leeseo.

"Good question. Well, if you haven't seen her in class, usually when she leaves, she goes to the library or the rooftop. Check for her there." Heeseung nods in acknowledgment before bidding Leeseo goodbye and traveling to the library in search for you.

"Why would you tell him where she was?!" Whisper-yells Yunho, but Heeseung hears.

Heeseung hadn't seen you all day. Not even in Physics class. He would've assumed you were sick, but this morning, you messaged him saying that you couldn't talk because you were leaving home to go to school. He would hope you weren't purposely avoiding him.

He gets to the library and opens the doors. And upon his arrival, he can hear your voice inside, talking to someone.

"Pythagoras theorem is pretty simple, actually. You just need to learn the trigonometric ratios first." You say, the boy in front you nodding and listening intently.

Heeseung approaches your table from behind you, catching the boy's attention first. "Um, hello. Do you need something?" You furrow your eyebrows at his statement and turn around to see Heeseung.

"Oh, hi Heeseung." You mumble awkwardly. "What brings you here?"

"I was looking for you. All day."

"Oh, sorry. I was with Jungkook all day. We've been preparing for our math exam."

Jungkook was his name.

"Why didn't you tell me. Shit- you had me searching for you like a madman!" Heeseung exclaims. A little too loud, as now other people in the library start to acknowledge your current situation.

"Um, let's talk outside. Jungkook, give me a few. Sorry." You grumble leaving your belongings on the table and exiting the library with Heeseung following right behind.

"What the fuck, Heeseung? What's wrong with you?" You hiss, but you also be sure to watch your volume. Heeseung didn't seem to care about his volume, though.

"I don't see you all day, just for you to be with another guy? Jesus, (Name). I worry too, y'know."

"Well, you're not my boyfriend. So there's no need to worry."

That certainly shut him up.

"Okay then. See you whenever."

Heeseung bids you goodbye and leaves you there alone in the hallway.

A free day, finally. Most of the school had gone on a field trip, so teachers decided to cancel classes for the day. You're more than happy; elated, even. You sit with Yunho, Leeseo, and two other classmates, playing board games.

After yesterday's 'half-date' with Heeseung, you felt a little better about the whole situation. If you ignore Wonyoung and Somi's dirty glares from across the classroom, then you'd survive the day.

"So, (Name), how'd it go with you-know-who yesterday?" Yunho asks in a secretive tone. You haven't even told them about that yet, well, you planned to. Sunoo probably already broke the news.

" 'You-know-who'? As in.." Leeseo chimes in, resulting in a nod from Yunho.

"Shush! It went well, though. We're on good terms again." You say making both Yunho and Leeseo squeal excitedly.

"(Name) has a boyfriend? Who is it?" A classmate asks, making you slightly panic internally.

"Lee-"

You cover Yunho's mouth before he can say anything more. But, there was no need because the 'Lee' himself entered the classroom. So much for keeping it a secret. You pretend not to see him and be interested in the board game in front of you.

Heeseung approaches you from behind and covers your eyes, whispering 'Guess who?', which made butterflies swarm in your stomach.

"Wait, Lee, as in Lee Heeseung?! (Name), Heeseung is your boyfriend?" One classmate yells out, a little too loud for your liking. You can feel other pairs of eyes in the classroom on you. You never particularly liked attention on you.

Heeseung chuckles and removes his hands from your face before taking the empty seat next to you. "I wouldn't say boyfriend, yet." He replies confidently, making your cheeks heat up.

Wonyoung's glares at you now were practically fire. It's safe to say she hates you even more.

"You two are so cute together!" Another girl says as she approaches the table. In the span of 20 seconds, the whole class surrounded you - well, mostly Heeseung. You don't blame them. Why would a guy like him be with a girl like you?

You hope that these swarms of attention towards you will die down soon.

"Heeseung, I'm convinced you're actually dumb." Sunoo grumbles, while Heeseung holds his head down in shame. "Who in hell possessed you to get involved with Jang Wonyoung, of all people? And don't you like (Name)?"

"I know, I know - I just thought she didn't like me after she ditched us the other day, so," Heeseung murmurs, resulting in a hard slap from Sunoo on his shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?"

"That's for being an idiot. You're lucky I'm not like the rest of our friends and actually give a fuck about what you do. Now, I suggest that you have a very serious talk with (Name). Do you have her number?"

"Uh, yeah. Why?"

"Let me work my magic."

You immediately plop your phone onto the bed and rush into the shower. You were literally meeting Heeseung outside of school in less than 30 minutes, and you looked like a mess. Today was your off day, so you weren't expecting to be going out. Well, the day quickly turned around.

After yesterday's events, you sort of regretted getting involved with Heeseung - but a part of you wanted to give him another chance, despite him quite literally letting your arch nemesis kiss him on the cheek. Jang Wonyoung was pretty much known for ruining people's lives - especially yours.

Since middle school, Wonyoung had been endlessly tormenting you. To this day, you wonder what you could've done to make her hate you.

The sound of your phone ringing interrupts your daydreaming, and you step out of the shower. You check the caller ID, and Heeseung is calling. You hesitate to pick up, but you do after a minute, so it wouldn't go to voice-mail.

"Hello?"

"Hey, (Name)? I'm already here. Are you on your way?"

"The fuck? I just got out of the shower - give me 20 minutes."

You hang up, and you dress the fastest you have in your life before leaving home. Hopefully, Heeseung hasn't been waiting long. He's lucky you don't hold grudges. Otherwise, you would've taken longer on purpose.

15 minutes later..

You rush through the doors of Bighit Cafe, grabbing the eyes of numerous customers. You scan the place in search of Heeseung, and there he is - Goodness, he looked so much better out of his uniform. And his skin is practically glowing - God, why did he have to look so beautiful?

You approach his table, and with every step, you can feel your confidence dissipating. Heeseung notices your presence and smiles sweetly. "Hi!" He says. He grabs your hand - a gesture that makes your cheeks heat up - and leads you to the table.

As you sit, you feel the aura of awkwardness surround the both of you. It was as if everything you had planned to say and had just up and left. Well, that was until Heeseung finally spoke up.

"Look, I'm sorry. For, y'know, the whole Wonyoung issue. Well, she's my ex - and if you know Wonyoung, she's a pretty hard person to get rid of," he starts and takes a deep breath before continuing, "Just know I'm not interested in her anymore. It's her who's interested me."

You nod in response. It was pretty understandable. Wonyoung was a girl who would do whatever it takes to get something she wants, in this case, someone. It's not surprising that she would do all this to take Heeseung from you - not that he's yours or anything.

"Yeah, I totally understand. Wonyoung is a bitch." You say, and chuckle in hopes to lighten the mood and thankfully, it works.

"Tell me about it. Uh, on the brighter side, I asked Yunho what sweets you liked, and I ordered you some strawberry cheesecake. I already paid for it."

"Really? Thanks so much!"

And Heeseung loves to see you smile, even if it's over something small like strawberry cheesecake.

DAY 3: the jang wonyoung

Now, you'd finally started to feel bad for ditching Heeseung yesterday. As you walk through the gates of the school, you tell yourself that once you find him, you'd apologize for your sudden leaving. However, a figure - scratch that - 2 figures stood in front of you, blocking your entryway. And it just so happened to be the two females you probably hate the most on Earth.

Jang Wonyoung and Jeon Somi.

You sigh to yourself silently before attempting to go around them, but Wonyoung stops you from doing so. She definitely wanted something, and it wasn't good. "Wonyoung, what do you want?" You hissed, but she only smiles slyly in response.

"Oh, nothing! Somi and I just wanted to say hello, is all." She claims, making you scoff. Knowing Wonyoung, she isn't the type to just talk to someone unless you had something she wanted. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what's your status with Lee Heeseung? Girlfriend, situationship, what?"

Yup. The 'something' she wanted was Lee Heeseung. You should've seen this coming, especially since she's been infatuated with him since elementary.

"Firstly, that's none of your business - secondly, him and I are just friends, nothing else." Can I get inside, now?" You reply, in a hurry since Yunho and Leeseo were in the library awaiting your arrival. You try to get through, but Somi shoves you back.

"(Name), you poor soul. We promise we won't do anything, just tell -" Somi is cut off by Wonyoung, as she signals to someone in the distance. You turn to see who it is and speak of the devil - its Heeseung. Wonyoung skips over to him and places a wet kiss on his cheek, making your heart skip a beat. Was Heeseung involved with Wonyoung in some way? Somi notices your disapproval and snickers. "I guess you were telling the truth, then." She laughs, and walks over to Wonyoung and Heeseung.

You take another look at Heeseung, and you make eye contact with him for a split second before rushing into the school. At this point, Yunho and Leeseo were probably becoming impatient.

"Where the hell is she? It's been like an hour." Yunho grumbles, putting his head on the table out of boredom. Leeseo is about to convince him you're coming, but there is no need as you bust through the doors of the library, clearly out of breath. "What the fu- (Name), where the hell have you been?"

"Wonyoung." Is all you say, holding onto the table to catch your breath. And just by hearing that name, Yunho and Leeseo knew exactly what went down.

"Girl, come sit down because you need to spill everything that just happened out there."

"So you're telling me he literally let Jang Wonyoung kiss him? What a bitch!" Leeseo exclaims, grabbing the looks of other students in the library. "Sorry!" She says before slumping in her seat.

"That's crazy. Like honestly. Maybe it has something to do with you ditching him yesterday." Yunho pitches in, and you nod. After you ditched Heeseung yesterday, you immediately texted Yunho and Leeseo. Knowing him, he probably got the wrong idea.

"I'll talk to him in Physics today. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong." Your friends encourage you which gives you a tiny sense of hope that all will be well.

Curse you, Jang Wonyoung.

You enter the physics classroom, immediately scanning for Heeseung. You sit next to him, after all. And you find him. Except, Wonyoung is sitting in your seat.

Next to Heeseung.

You approach both of them, and your heartbeat quickens. You weren't too good with confronting people. "Um, hey- Sorry to bother you but, Wonyoung's in my seat. Move, please." You say quietly.

"Excuse me, I couldn't get that. Could you repeat it for me?" Wonyoung asks, with a mischievous grin on her face.

"I said, you're in my seat."

"Ohh! Actually, this is my seat now. Heeseung asked for me to switch seats. So now, you sit with Hoseok. Y'know, the talkative one?" Your eyes twitch at her words, and you look at Heeseung for confirmation. However, he doesn't make eye contact with you, and that's all you need. You scoff before making your way to your new involuntary seat.

8:30 a.m.

You sigh in aggravation and place your phone on the wooden table before putting your head in your hands. You'd now realised what you've done. What were you thinking? You basically just gave Heeseung an excuse to annoy you for the rest of the school year.

'Good job, (Name),' you think to yourself.

However, the bell rings, interrupting your thoughts. You'd just have to survive the rest of the day. But, that idea was thrown out the window when you exited the library and was met with Heeseung.

The person you weren't exactly ready to see just yet.

"Oh. Heeseung, what're you doing here?" You ask, knowing damn well why he is here. He doesn't answer, but instead takes your bag and slings it over his shoulder.

"We have Physics next, right?" He asks, and you give him a mere nod in response. "Let's get going, then!" He exclaims, walking with a big smile on his face. Who would've thought Lee Heeseung would be this happy going to Physics Class?

You sigh to yourself. It's not like you can just change your mind and tell him you don't want him to court you until graduation. Well - you could - but you just didn't have the heart to.

You'll just have to deal with Heeseung's antics until Graduation Day.

9:00 a.m.

When you all enter the class, practically all eyes are on you and Heeseung. You, the girl with literally only 2 friends, coming to class with Lee Heeseung, who's probably dated every girl you can think of.

Heeseung seems to sense your anxiety, so he quickly takes your hand and leads you to a seat, then takes one beside you.

Just two more hours and you'd be free, you tell yourself. Just two hours.

But Heeseung just seems to read your mind, because;

"Hey, at lunch time would you like to sit with me and my friends? I know they may seem... unfriendly, but they're pretty nice once you get to know them." He asks, so nicely it seems impossible to refuse.

"Uh, sure, I guess." He smiles wide at your approval. Now, you would just have to explain this to Yunho and Leeseo.

10:57 a.m.

"Who's that?" Heeseung asks, referring to the conversation on your phone.

"It's just Yunho and Leeseo." You reply, sliding your phone in your back pocket. Heeseung still insists he holds your bag. It's pretty embarrassing. Everyone you pass in the halls assumes you and him are a thing. Definitely not the assumption you are looking for.

"Oh yeah, now that I remember - could I get your number? Only if that's okay with you, of course." He asks sweetly.

"Yeah, sure." You hand him your phone for him to put in his contact information. What the hell is wrong with Heeseung, and why can't you tell him 'no'? Maybe it's your shy personality. He returns your phone and grabs your wrist.

"Let's go, they should be in there by now."

Your heart beats from the fact you'd have to sit and eat your lunch with people who weren't Leeseo or Yunho. Why did you have to accept his offer for lunch? You're really starting to regret it now.

He leads you to the table where his friends sat, and to say they weren't pleased to see you was an understatement. "Hey, Heeseung, and other girl," one says, looking at you in a way that made you feel small.

"Hey, uhm, this is (Name), the girl I told you all about?"

What?

He talked about you? To his friends?

"Hi! My name is Sunoo, so nice to finally meet you!" The boy says, his bubbly personality calming the tension in your gut. Maybe he will make this encounter more bearable.

But it seems Sunoo was the only one who was just a little fond of you because the rest of Heeseung's friends didn't even bother to introduce themselves. You'd survive, right? You'd just have to survive until 11:30.

Heeseung clears his throat awkwardly and takes a seat, patting the space beside him signaling for you to sit next to him. Once you sit down it's as if the tension becomes even stronger. At this point, you just want to be swallowed whole so you wouldn't have to experience the most awkward encounter of the century.

Silence usually calmed you, but not here. You knew that in the silence, chaos was running through their mind. You finally listen to yourself and stand up abruptly, making Heeseung and his friends look up at you in confusion.

"I actually just remembered I have plans with my friends, so I'm just.. gonna go. See you later, Sunoo." You say a goodbye to Sunoo, since he was pretty much the only one who enjoyed your presence.

Heeseung follows after you, even after you exit the school and walk into the courtyard. "(Name), I'm sorry if my friends made you feel uncomfortable, I just-"

"Don't worry, Heeseung, you didn't do anything wrong. I'm just gonna go with Leeseo and Yunho. I'll see you tomorrow." You say, and continue walking without looking back. And you're glad you didn't, either, 'Cause you don't think you would've been able to take his sad face.

Heeseung's friends weren't the right crowd for you.

This is what you were scared of.

Now you're stuck with Lee Heeseung for the next 28 days.
