“ brother , will you be coming with me to the temple today to pray ? i will be leaving exactly in 4 hours   &  16 minutes . ” she had such an odd thing with numbers . “ i have taken the liberty of making us some snacks as well , only something light if we get peckish –– although i suppose i should have waited for your answer before making you something . . . ” her words became quieter  &  quieter before stopping all at once . talking to zelda ( –– or rather , macaire , middle names used as firsts as none dared break the scared tradition of daughters being named zelda ) was hard . 

she would not dare hate her sibling , no , hylia . . . blessed their mother ( goddess rest her soul ) with not one , but two beautiful children . then why . . . did she curse her sister’s very existence in sudden thoughts ? ( if i did not have to split my soul with you –– i would be a perfect servant to hylia already ! why can’t you just go away ! ) 

“ . . . or do you plan to escape the castle again ? father was quite cross with you last time . if you are then . . . might i ask you to  . . . take me with you ? ” genevieve smiled sheepishly  &  drearily at her twin , trying her best to reach out to her –– to connect without a hymn or pray between them . twins were suppose to be the same , weren’t they ? then why was the only things they shared where their names  &  the crushing pressure .

HEADCANONS –––- OCD . (  it comes in threes  )

i think zelda’s OCD shows itself in the form of numbers   &  time a lot . often she will find herself counting things , doing things at very specific times  &  preferring things to be in / done in threes .  she sees the number three a lot in history , becoming attached to the number   &  believes the number is a sign from hylia ( there are three pieces of the triforce . there is a hero ,  a princess  ,  and the demon king – that makes three . there are three golden goddesses , ect  ) 

the counting helps ease the anxiety she feels , as well as push away the intrusive thoughts she has running through her mind –– thoughts that disgust  &  frighten her . ones she won’t dare speak allowed . those intrusive thoughts mainly focus on religion , sexual ideas  , &   violence . 

failure to do things at her very specific times causes some major panic attacks where she believes everyone will die or worse . changes her to her schedule will also cause major anxiety but if given a heads up soon enough she’s able to fix it  &  make sure everything falls into it’s proper place . 

tic are small , but worsen when she’s tired or had anything to drink . these are normally things like rapid blinking , head twitching  &  humming repeatedly . very rare is verbal tics , but they still can happen , more so in times of high stress . 

she isn’t organized –– at least in the stereotype way . there is a system she must follow that is so specific you probably will get confused as she explains it . but there is so much clutter in her bed room   &   within her study it would make your head spin . the maids know better then to try to touch her things . they’ve even stopped bothering to make her bed in the morning because she has to undo  &  redo a few times to feel okay .
