I love how Charlie's this sweet sunshine character who is the daughter of Lucifer, it's such a good and funny choice. What gets me though, is in a happy day in hell, she sings she doesn't know whether angels have hearts or not which is such a funny thing for a nice character to say. But it makes a lot of sense!

If you only saw these "other" people slaughter your people, you'd be so confused as to what they got going on. Even if it's a "righteous" cause, which Charlie clearly disagrees with, it's fucked that they come and just end existence of so many souls.

It always makes me giggle tho every time Charlie's like, do angels have hearts? Do they? Unsure, check again later. The meeting with Adam does not help this theory btw

When it comes to the discourse about fat characters in the hell-verse I think multiple things are true. "Your main characters should not just all be skinny individuals." And "it's wrong that the few fat characters we see are villains and not at all multidimensional well rounded characters." And "making husk, an alcoholic who canonically takes terrible care of himself, fat in your redesign is not the progressive representation you think it is."

the sound design in masquerade is fucking crazy. the way the background music cuts out every time val is present. the quiet, ominous violin sting that ends abruptly the moment val slams the dressing room door. all the sounds of impact and collision as val throws angel around, the whispery hiss of his smoke and the faint echo to his voice, swallowing up everything else. the way the music slowly, almost meekly trickles back in when val takes out angel's contract, and from there stays low and unobtrusive until poison begins. the subtle creeping dread of valentino vs the big, brassy swing of husk later in the episode, and after which the background music goes back to normal? impeccable
