He looked into Harryās face. āBut it makes no difference. In fact, I prefer it this way. Just you and me, Harry PotterĀ .Ā .Ā . you and me.Ā .Ā .Ā .ā
This quote is everything I need to know that Tom Riddle would whimper into a kiss. And even worse if heās overstimulated.
I will never stop loving how even a single preserved memory of him manages to capture his raw obsession and twisted, possessive intimacy so perfectly.

one penny !
Definitely my most unhinged WIP: (A non-magic AU) After Tom and Harry break up, Harry blocks him on all of his socials, phone number etc. Tom doesn't exactly take well to that, and proceeds to use one of those money sending apps to send one penny at a time to Harry just so he can message him somewhere. The messages get progressively more unhinged, until Tom does something notably more illegal (like break into Harry's house or something, I haven't really thought that far yet). Alas, no snippet, but the file does have whatever this is:
Tom sent 0.01 £ [3.24] where are you Tom sent 0.01 £ [3.45] im outside your door Tom sent 0.01 £ [3.57] i will break in Tom sent 0.01 £ [11.21] im sorry i didnt mean that, do you still love me Tom sent 0.01 £ [15.08] if you dont answer im killing myself, i know you can see these Tom sent 0.01 £ [20.11] why are you having someone over Tom sent 0.01 £ [20.14] who is that ill kill them Tom sent 0.01 £ [20.20] im breaking the window
Not sure if this will ever turn into anything else, but at least it does make me giggle. Ty for asking!! š

Welcome!
The internet calls me Dizzy <3 I write as dizzydreamer on AO3, and you can find lots of Tomarry content there.
Here's some of my work, which I will explain to you with zero degrees of seriousness:
Strings of Fate
Tom Riddle isn't interested in anyone. Well, not until the new transfer student touches him, and suddenly he feels alive for the very first time.
Soulmate AU (or is it?) in which Tom finally gets a boner, and then proceeds to make it everyone's problem.
Especially Orion.
Blood of The Covenant
Harry shows up to Hogwarts with the ability to speak Parseltongue, and Tom deduces they must be related. Good thing incest is a Gaunt family tradition!
Lovers by chance, siblings by choice. (Just don't tell Tom Harry isnāt actually his cousināheād be devastated.)
For I Am With You
The first time a young Tom Riddle meets Harry Potter, he decides the man must be his guardian angel. How else could a man so clearly made of magic, and here to save him, know Tom's name?
What follows isn't very holy, however. (Harry thinks he's really acing this male role model thing. Tom's too busy fantasizing about Harry's cock in his mouth to burst that bubble.)
Oh, and Harry isn't exactly stuck in the past. Or the present. It'sāwell, it's complicated.
Steps to Parnassus
Tom and Harry are students at a prestigious conservatory in Europe. Both musical prodigies, Harry and Tomāon paperāseem to have a lot in common.
Too bad The Incident threw a wrench in Tom's carefully laid plans. Well, if he can't make Harry see they're destined for each other, he might as well spent the next six years stalking him. Right?
(Later, in his final year at the academy, he'll think Dumbledore forcing him to share a room with Harry Potter is the last test of his resolve before he graduates.
He will be very, very wrong.)
The Pursuit of Greatness
Tom Riddle is slaving away at Borgin and Burke's. The greatest mind to ever walk the halls of Hogwarts has graduated, and he'sāwell, he's miserable. It's fine, though. It'll all be worth it some day.
He tells himself this a lot, in fact, until a mysterious stranger walks through the door (and into Tom's bed.)
And sex with Harry is wonderful. Almost too wonderful, actually, considering it was meant to be nothing but a quick diversionā¦
If only he'd quit distracting Tom from his plans, which areāwell, what does greatness even mean, anyway?
And here's some stuff exclusive to Tumblr:
AITA: Tom [16M] Is Not In The Wrong For Trying To Fuck The Transfer Student. Right?
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
And a bit of meta for my beloved blorbo <3
I Don't Buy Into Heartless Tom Riddle
Tom Riddle Could Only Ever Die The Way Stars Do
I don't always remember, but I try to tag my asks with āask dizzyā so they're searchable! If you're reading this, I love you, thanks for making it all the way to the bottom :)

Steps to Parnassus
CHAPTER FOUR
Tom Riddle doesnāt believe in love at first sight--but he does believe in obsession.
Heās been fixated on Harry Potter since he first saw him play: dark hair curling over the tips of his ears, violin tucked neatly under his chin. In the competitive world of the Conservatory, their final year brings them an unexpected twist. What happens when Harry gets too close to uncovering the depth of Tomās affection? Harry believes theyāre rivals. Tom knows the truth is far worse than that.

As a writer, how to make Tom more feral and emotional without making him OOC? Would be amazing to hear your take
Hi! So, something that helps me is that I believe a feral and emotional Tom is extremely in character.
Just look back on his first meeting with Dumbledore in HBP. His face flushes, he looks fevered, his legs tremble so badly he has to sit down, he alternates between defensive posturing and fawning. He is so emotional!!!!
I think while at Hogwarts, he definitely learned how to mask it a bit, but all of that emotion is still very much inside (and I think more obvious than he thinks it is). He was also a boy raised in an institution in the 1940s, he didn't learn emotional regulation from anyone.
When you lack emotional regulation skills, it's very easy for nearly all emotions to be twisted into rage. Pain turns to rage. Tom wouldn't realize this though. I think what tips the scales in the ooc category (and not just for Tom) is an overabundance of self-awareness. I think it's an impulse as a writer to want to explain the link between an emotion and a behavior, but in the moment an unregulated person does not see that link. Some people might see it later upon reflection but I don't think Tom is one of those types of people.
Tom also justifies everything he does. No matter how insane Tom's actions are, he convinces himself he made the right decision. When writing his POV, I have to step into crazy space a bit and try to vibe along with him.
I'm sure many of my followers have insightful additions that are more than welcome!

I don't understand people who think that Tom Riddle was born evil because he was conceived due to sexual abuse and back this opinion up with JKR's words. You know this is the same woman who said Lupin's lycanthropy was a metaphor for HIV, which implies that every person with HIV is dangerous, right? My point is, JKR herself may say whatever she wants, but the implication that a child born due to rape is broken and unnatural and can't love and doesn't have anything good in them is disgusting and horrifying.

Anyone who can't see or refuses to acknowledge the messy, raw, needy, obsessive, and intensely emotional side of Voldemort/Tom Riddle...just like accepting that he's both Voldemort and Tom Riddle, one full person, not just one side, makes me wonder if they really get the character at all.
Turning him into a cold, shallow highschooler prince, or building a whole new God around his Lord self makes me wonder the same thing.
Imposing this fake, frivolous perfection on a clearly complex character ā one who was obviously not meant to be a symbol of that ā makes me feel like they're just missing all the texture and the depth potential that actually makes the character all the more compelling.
