Ok last Venom post for now but also have to say I do think Eddie isnt the way he is with his whole like "I can never be wholly responsible for anything bad" thing because hes catholic and I think it's lame to act like thats the reason, but I do really like it when him being religious is evident in the way he talks about morality. And also it rules when Venom just starts talking about god like they're not fucking Venom

Ok Im still off superhero comics but my friend informed me that theres a black white and blood Venom series right now and I read the first issue and it was genuinely really good Venom stories. The first one was written by Michelinie and was a average David Michelinie Venom Tale so obviously pretty good but the second was written by Ryan North and is one of those stories I think should get put on Venom recc lists because it was so fucking good. Story all about how Eddie twists the truth to make himself look better because he has to convince himself hes a good person above all else (also hes a catholic dont forget)
Also the last story was written by DeMatties and it was fine.
#The DeMatties story is kind of not of note to me because it was about Eddie dealing with his dad#being abusive but he made the explicit choice to set it like post maximum carnage which while interesting like#Eddie really didnt need to confront that at that point like he was already aware that his dad was horrible to him.#And not to be mean but JM DeMatties has written this same story so many times I feel like every other DeMatties thing I read is that exact#story. But Im just really not a DeMatties head#But yeah so Michelinie story your average David Michelinie Venom story Ryan North story FIVE STARS GREAT STUFF#Im gonna read the next one of these that comes out too#SOMETIMES VENOM IS STILL GOOD

actually the ubiquity of jokes about white supremacists being brown guys from [india, pakistan, philippines, mexico] actually betray the same white supremacist values they're purpotedly criticising... ie, the problem with racism is the brown people. white supremacy regardless of its coloured collaborators primarily benefits white people, most powerful visible white supremacists are still white, and this focus characterises white supremacy as some kind of infection in the rarefied, superior white polity from non whites.

I do kind of think the constant reminders that asexuals can still have sex from back in the day were lowkey a mistake because I just feel like it led to alot of people giving in to the idea of having sex despite not really wanting to just to please their partner who did. Like I think the intent was that having sex doesn't change your feelings on it or identity, but I think the discussion probably should've leaned more towards "you dont owe anyone sex" you know.
