Fun fact: a friend of mine has stayed in this hotel.

That was of course before the Great Korean sand-fire-blizzard storm of ‘86 that levelled the rest of Pyongyang and replaced it with that 300m tall black sand dune.

This post isn’t entirely correct though. It’s fairly well known that during the late nineties Kim Jong Il tried to take advantage of the building’s shape for one of his missile weapons tests. So now it’s mostly in pieces at the bottom of the Sea of Japan.

Seriously though, a friend of mine has stayed in this hotel.
