This is why psychology is such a fascinating field. There’s so much we don’t know or understand about the human psyche. Everyone is different and views the world through their own filter. We see, express, and experience events based on our imagination. Imagination is never limited and should never attempt to be. The more we, as the human race, start to embrace the infinite possibilities through our imagination we will finally unlock the key to life and bring the underlying beauty of unity to light. Pure Imagination discusses this explicitly and frustratingly one of the most underrated piece of art that’s ever existed.

Brains are so cool because when we read books we can mess around with ‘filters’ in our minds and, like, read the book in cartoon style or animated or black and white. And we can design characters in our heads and places and scenery and ‘drag and drop’ things into a scene and look at people and imagine what they’d be like with green hair or no hair or if they had blue skin. And when we get bored in an exam we can read the questions in our minds in whatever voice we want. 

“what are you laughing at?”

“I was reading Shakespeare in Spongebob’s voice in my head.”

We can stare out the car window and overlap imaginary images over reality so that it looks like all the trees are purple and made of candyfloss or we can mentally replace birds feathers with blades of grass and blades of grass with feathers. And we can bend the world and disfigure it. We can imagine what we’d look like with an outfit on so that we never have to try it on. And we can imagine, like, an animal walking across our school desk when math is real slow and we can reach out and touch the imaginary animal and feels its imaginary heart beating and imaginary muscles shifting beneath its imaginary fur under our hand. 

And I dunno man, imagination is just really cool
