NOT THE FUCKING EAR SLIME god i had two of those and it took FOREVER to remove them
so you need to go down to the lake, find the ruin, explore until you unlock the plinth room, and then wait for a blood moon (last day of the month). during the blood moon you need to go to the ruin again, go into the plinth room, and the slimes will leave.
HOWEVER it's easier said than done. first there's the time aspect (it took me months because i either kept forgetting or i got sent to the asylum/prison/whatever). and second of all there's the ivory wraith on the blood moons and down in the water. best of luck!
