Day 28: Team

Normal words to hear for a misthios, but unfortunately this particular target had a few quirks. With him hardly ever leaving his heavily guarded home, it seemed almost impossible to get in without massive bloodshed. But as if a sign from the gods, an invitation was found to attend one of his “secret parties” which required an absurd amount of inspections before entry. That is to say Diana could not carry any weapons (that they could find), and obviously no “wild animals” were allowed entry either.

Honestly, it sounded like way too much of a hassle, what with buying fancy new clothes as well, but Akko wanted food and the drachmae reward would cover the costs anyway, so why not? Rumor has it that the most beautiful and richest of women would easily get his attention and thus set up the perfect opportunity to strike. And so…

A Knight and Her Lady ch. 24

Diana finishes her appeal to the King for help getting her lands back and has an unorthodox request of Baron England, one that Akko is not exactly thrilled about. What else are they to do, though, when their options are otherwise limited to plotting and waiting for an answer back from King Henry.
