I'm very pleased to share the final episode of the documentary series I've made on the NJO, Crafting An Epic: The Making of the New Jedi Order. This final episode, Part VII: Unification, takes us through the conclusion to this amazing series with insights and commentary from Greg Keyes and James Luceno on The Final Prophecy and The Unifying Force, talking deeply about Yuuzhan Vong society as well other elements of the series, such as Jacen's enlightenment and setting possibly the capstone for the Star Wars universe. Following that is a section of NJO reflections by those who made the series, as well as neat archival polls taken of the fandom (over 1000 participants) of their favorite characters, books, scenes, and so on, from 2005. It was a lot of work to make this series but a joy to see it come to fruition and share it. Enjoy!

The Unifying Force promo (2003)

This is the sixth part in the ongoing New Jedi Order documentary series I'm producing -- just one episode left to go! This episode kicks off with talk from Timothy Zahn about his unrealized NJO duology/trilogy, which he was offered and had interest in (and ideas! which he discusses), but ultimately declined. What follows is discussion from Sean Williams and Shane Dix about the Force Heretic trilogy. In particular, they give insightful comments on Tahiri and Jacen, as well as the Chiss. At the very end, there is also some discussion of the final NJO short story, Or Die Trying. Enjoy!

This is the fifth episode in the New Jedi Order documentary series -- this time, with a focus on my favorite novel, Traitor, as well as the fantastic book Destiny's Way. Ylesia is also spotlighted briefly. Matthew Stover and Walter Jon Williams provide fantastic insight into the Force, Jacen & Vergere, Ganner's unforgettable stand, what makes Luke special, the formation of the Jedi High Council, Alpha Red, and so much more. Included as well is discussion of the storycraft involved in shaping these novels, as well as the influence of philosophy, such as Taoism, in the novels themselves. Enjoy!

There's a great deal of discussion about Anakin and Jaina in this one, as well as Wedge Antilles. Featuring in-depth discussion from Troy Denning and Elaine Cunningham, as well as the late Aaron Allston. Enjoy!
