i just want to find a group to call home but i have heard so many things about the leaders in every single group that i am not sure which one i should trust. can you give us the things you know to be true about the leaders in each of the hollywood roleplays? it would really help an anxious person like me

I think there is a group for everyone. It all depends on what you need from a group. I believe you can have a good experience in most groups, as long as you go into them with your eyes open.

If you are anxious about cliques or not fitting in, I would avoid HFRP, Carpediem, and Buzzhqs. They have the most problematic admin teams and the most bubbling.

Cityofdreams, hillsfms and gonehollywood might be the best fits. City has the strictest rules, but they have the most diverse group of muns and take inclusivity seriously. Hillsfms have relaxed rules, and I'm told getting plots is easy there. Gonehollywood is small but also has relaxed rules and focuses on character development.

Community, which group would you recommend?

as a former shipping partner of star, he did NOT force ships and was incredibly accommodating in every matter of the way. it seems like a smear campaign is being run over his decisions, even though they aren't impacting anyone.

and if the anon has evidence of that ship forcing, they should come forth and make it known publicly, so the entire community can know. otherwise, simply sending anons is not reputable.

I agree that, for clarity, there should always be proof posted. If you want to remain anonymous but want the truth to come out, I will not name any source under any circumstances.

I also encourage everyone to make PSAs about players they believe the community should be warned about.

if you aim to benefit the community, fact checking the things you post before slandering people would do the community well.

there are people in this community that use these blogs to spread false narratives about people, and you're only aiding them in certain cases.

If a name is brought up that I haven't had personal bad experiences with or witnessed sketchy behavior with my own eyes, I'm less eager to post and believe just one message, sweet Anon.

I was in this community for almost a decade. I know the players, and I know the admins. These people aren't strangers to me.

I have been burned by toxic muns before, and because of that, having a checks and balances system is important. Everyone is free to interact with anyone they want and join any group they want, I'm not stopping anyone. Adults are free to choose who they associate with, and I'm here just to spread information.

My inbox is also open for rebuttals. Don't post identifiable information about innocent parties, and you'll get your side of the story shared.

i have personally been on the same discord server with some of these people in buzzhqs and some of them were really mean to someone else in it, as in a mockery type of way, like this person was alone and everyone like you said ganged up against this person. if they did this in front of the person in question, i can't even imagine what they said behind their backs. thank god i never truly ever spoke to them but i felt truly bad when they would treat others so bad.

I've also personally witnessed several of them ganging up on a writer on the dash and bombarding that person with several mean-spirited replies.

They've also accepted people into their group who they have openly mocked behind their backs before. Shady.

However, I doubt anything will change. They have gotten away with bad behavior for years, so nothing indicates anything will be changing now.

I am absolutely disgusted with prettylittlelucygoose at carpediem-celebrpg. On her sidebar of her theme there's a section that says "DISCLAIMER: The FC's for Belle, Sam, Link & Delia are the kids of my real life friends. DO NOT steal their pics to use for yourself." She's using her friends kids?! KIDS? On the internet, full of strangers? Literal minors, kids who aren't even hers. How does she think that's okay?!

Using child FC's is fine if the parent posts that child on their social media for thousands of followers. I would hope the mun in question has asked her friends for permission; otherwise, that is disgusting

I also find it objectionable to flood the dash with images of children in general. Posting a few photos occasionally is fine, but multiple every day? Please don't. I can guarantee no one wants to constantly look at pictures of strange little kids.

Riley over at HFRP breaks her own rules - also lets her ship partner away with breaking them. Take it from a previous member.

I have the same experience as you do, sweet Anon. HFRP rules are flexible and enforced based on who the mun is. Admin favorites get preferential treatment, and it's obvious.

The admin team needs an overhaul. They have the most admins out of any group, and yet, their members often have to wait more than a day for anyone to be on the main. How do you have seven admins and yet nothing gets done?

hi, as a former shipping partner of star's, i just want to tell everyone that he forces ships and would guilt trip me when i shipped with other people. i always felt like i had to accommodate him and felt bad when he wasn't happy about me shipping with another person.

Thank you for sharing your story, sweet Anon. I'm sorry you were treated like this. No one has the right to force ships, and it should be an offense that results in your immediate banning.

Writing and shipping are chemistry-based and should be fun. It's a joint creative process, and manipulating or guilt-tripping anyone into a ship is an ugly, toxic thing to do.

You can't always get what you want. Accept it, be kind, and STOP THINKING YOU'RE ENTITLED TO ANYTHING.

It's 2023; stop forcing ships immediately. There's no excuse for it.

Not so fast, dear sweet Anon. It looks like Star went back to Buzzhqs. It looks like he didn't get to reclaim the role of Timothée, so in his desperation to play the muse, he returned to Buzzhqs.

If your obsession with a celebrity runs so deep that you would get in bed with bullies and problematic people to play them, even after being given a second chance at Hillsfms, there's something broken in your brain and in your moral compass.

Anon but from Hills. The buzzhq people were truly getting everything there. They had their ships, people wanting to write with them, all their face claims and people being active. For them to be hateful is awful but also makes no sense. They had everything except a Harry fc (but they got it!!!). To know they threw that away but also sadly wrecked some friendships between Star and others was nasty. I do know how manipulative they can be and I hope now everyone stays away. They will turn on you after making you feel like a friend and it is not worth it

When everything blew up and people started talking about it, I looked at the blogs of the people who were unfollowed. There were plenty of interactions with the admins they claimed were toxic, to the point where the clique made edits for their characters. If you hate an admin and think they are treating you and your friends unfairly, why would you spend hours doing Photoshop and hoping to ship with them? 

No one has been able to send me proof of how they were being mistreated either. They got to play all their favorite muses, the original mun still got to reserve the FC they threw a tantrum about, and they weren't being ignored by anyone. They thought they were untouchable and got entitled.

Unfortunately, Star got caught in the crossfire, and I hope they eventually realize how much they too were manipulated.

Most of the people are inactive, and those posting seem to only interact with their chosen ship partner. That sounds about right. I think this is the same result as the clique's last two or three other groups.

Just this time, they are stuck with it as they aren't welcome to join to other groups. There's no group in the tags that would risk the safety of their members by accepting these people to join.

i genuinely feel that star was put in a tough situation. with the quickness that everything happened, they were put in a rough situation and came out worse after it.

they seem like they truly wanted the best for all parties involved. and i think him owning his mistake is testament to that, unlike certain people...

not sure if star knows about just how clique-like that group is, but i hope they leave before they end up hurt too, as many people have been in the past.

I think what happened with the buzzhqs muns is a good reminder that trusting people you barely know on the internet is a terrible idea. Star has decided to continue associating with people who are proven to be problematic and toxic. That's a choice they have made, and I hope they don't end up regretting it.

I do commend them for being the only person from that side who has acknowledged fault and apologized. It shows they are a decent human and I do feel bad that they have been dragged into the middle of this.

However, it was the clique that put Star in this mess. They bragged that Star was leaving with them on their hate server. I have also been sent information that it wasn't just the admins they were writing about. I won't publish that information, because it names innocent people who were used as targets for mockery behind their backs. Very mean girl behavior. Their burn book was a Discord server, and they thought it made them so cool.

If you believe the buzzhqs muns were venting real frustrations, why did they also gang up to bully writer(s) from other groups who weren't involved in the hillsfm mess?

There's was a group called reputationfm that was open back in like March or February that I was in and I miss it so much, the admin had to shut down after a few days because she got hate for not allowing a certain problematic person in and not allowing certain face claims but it felt so safe and I wish it would come back.

I think I remember seeing that in the tags for a short period of time. The admin seemed very dedicated, and it's horrible to hear they got bullied for it. I hope they are doing well now. Whoever you were sending them anon hate, I hope you have enough shame to feel guilty about your actions.

Admins work hard, and no one is perfect. There's no excuse for hate or bullying.
