PromptDale catching Peri some how. So heres my ideas on that captured Peri.

Like we are talking no fairy world take over here. Dev figures he can use this to get his fathers love anyway though. Tells his dad about Peri and how Peri can grant wishes. But only for Dev. So Peri is captured and Dale tries to force Peri to give him what wants but Peri doesn’t grant the wishes. Hes Devs fairy after all. And thats how Dev worms his way into his fathers life. He can make Peri grant Dales wishes. Dev is a smart kid so he isnt going to fall for a lot of Dales tricks but Dale is a smarter grown man. He pushes the limits and knows what Dev is after. So why not pay it up. As long as Dale keeps Dev in the picture everything should work out smoothly for him. Just keep Dev as the one who makes the wish.

Dev thinks hes finally got his fathers love from this. Look at how much his dad is including him in now. They spend so much time together too. Dev is always by his side! He never wanted to stand above his dad just next to him after all. Sure his dad was trying to remove him at first but now hes fully keeping Dev along side him. No more sneaky wishes to take Dev out of the game. Dev thinks he is a player just like his father because technically he holds control over the power but really he is pretty easy for Dale to manipulate.

Meanwhile we have Peri. Seeing everything for what it is cause hes an adult. He can see on full display how much he was failing Dev. How had he missed what Dev needed not being wishes but a parental figure. Someone to guide him and love him. Of course he is suffering for his mistake. He can refuse wishes of course but it’s costly. If he refuses them all he risks magical back up. Dev might be above torturing Peri but Dale isnt. And boy howdy did Dale try to torture Peri into granting his wishes without using Dev. Which sucked for Peri cause he literally can’t lmao.

Dale is letting Peri get right of the edge of magical back up then having Dev make a wish that Peri can choose to grant or suffer the effects of magical back up. Which Dale never lets go too far. Wont do any good to kill your money press. He doesn’t have another and isn’t confident in his ability to can’t another fairy. Not yet buy hes doing some research. Which is how he managed to even keep Peri captured before Dev could make a wish to keep Peri from poofing away. (Peri almost died from magical back up not wanting to grant a wish that kept him from teleporting)

Anyway I have more plans for this little prompt but this post is long enough lmao.

Lord imagine Irep taunting Peri in the early stages of him being captured. As much as I love this ship I also love the bitter enemies.

I got carried away with this one. Angst below my friends. Angst below.

Irep doing and saying anything to make Peri as miserable as possible in his final moments. Dev in tow.

Just to stop coming all together when he realises Peri is too far gone for it to even hurt him anymore. Dev suggesting they go back to rub it in Peris face somemore only to be met with a bored look and a “no point his mind is to far gone for it to really hurt him now.” Or something

Irep just bored of it. While Peris only time seeing anyone else was when Irep and Dev came by. He is just alone now. Nothing to distract him from the fact hes going to die alone in a cage. Maybe he was trying to keep it together cause Dev was present. But now fully alone, knowing himself that hes probably not even worth it to Irep. Knowing that must mean hes close to dying. Maybe he wished the pain was more blinding. More mind numbing so he couldn’t think like Irep probably thought. Maybe he doesn’t want to think about how hes never gonna see his family again.

Maybe Dev can sneak a peak at this state of complete misery? Maybe Peri having a little sob begging for it to be over. Just a nice quite little moment of loosing all hope? Curled up in on himself in the middle of the floor where Irep last tossed him about. Quietly begging for someone to come back. To not be all alone. Even if he gets hurt some more. Even if they taunt him. To just not be alone.

I wonder how a 10 year old would react to that. Probably trying to be bitter. Sneaking away again. Finding his dad. Telling himself that it’s the only way to get his dad to love him. Constantly repeating in his mind that it’s Peris fault for failing him. For his rules. Knowing deep down. In is heart that isnt true but theres nothing he can do.

I just want Peri to go back and be Devs babysitter. Knowing Dev lost his memories and trying to do right by this kid. Trying so hard to not make the same mistakes.

But I also want Dev to be scared to tell Peri he remembers because what if Peri has to leave then or if Jorgon comes to actually wipe his memories. Ao Dev doing his best to act like he did before he had his change of heart.

Basically Peri desperately trying to be a better god parent and Dev desperately (and failing) to be a bad ungrateful kid. (It’s how he sees his past actions)

Then we get guilt of Peri seeing how much of Devs happiness was lost with his memories and how much of a set back this is gor Dev while Dev seeing how mean he is to Peri and how miserable he is making him, which is worse this time because hes doing it on purpose. Dev now knowing Peri really does care but feels forced to be mean so not to slip up and loose Peri again. And Peri now having seen how bad at this he is. Seeing how he is still failing Dev at every turn. But neither willing to give up the other because they know what could have been. Peri knows Dev is a good kid. Dev knows Peri cares about him.

Idea that Peri comes back to Dev but is slightly scared of him. Yea hes just a kid and it was mostly Irep manipulating him. But Dev has wished his parent to be nothing and then left Peri to die.

I like to imagine Magical Backup as more painful than in canon. So imagine with me Peri thinking hes gonna die alone. Or how long was he captured for anyway not the point, thats for another post. My point is maybe he feels like hes on eggshells with this kid. This kid has some dark ambitions.

Of course Peri knows it’s not rational. Dev is just a kid who wants his father to love him. Not some evil mastermind but he can’t shake that feeling that if he goes to far hes gonna suffer again. Or someone he loves. Ignoring that feeling he goes back to being Devs fairy to help the kid in need. He has see so much of Dev that he knows the boy needs someone. He can’t be left alone to suffer like that. It’s a risk he is willing to take but that doesn’t mean he isn’t terrified the whole time.

Imagine if Dev finds out his fairy is scared of him cause he almost literally killed him and his family

Imagine Dev beging scared of like the dark and Peri is trying to help him get over it but is coming off as condescending so Dev wishes to make Peri face his fears too. Maybe Peri can have a huge reaction and we can get some character DEVelopment of Dev helping Peri get over his fear of Vicky only to realise it’s harder than it looks

Meant it writr a little angst bit but ended up writing Devs POV instead of Peri. Smh

Hazel shouts “NOOOO” as Ireps magic makes contact with Cosmo and Wanda. Dev gives a short triumphant laugh as he watches Hazel lose her fairies. They poof away into nothingness. As Irep is giving a maniacal laugh Dev hears the faintest sound of a thud. He looks away from Hazels miserable face to see Peri. The fairy is on the ground on his knees. Face frozen in wide eye shock. Dev watches as horror slowly creeps onto his face. He doesn’t know why his gut twists as he sees tears forming and then falling.

Why does he feel so bad? All Peri did was let him down. His stupid rules always getting in the way of what Dev really wanted. What he wanted… is this really what he wanted. Dev frozen in place could only watch as Peri brought his hands up to his face, Tears flowing as he shook with sops that wracked his body. All of a sudden Peri seemed so small to Dev. All of a sudden all Dev saw in the man was a son loosing his parents. Dev so desperate for his own father to love him just took it away from someone else, putting Peri in the same position as him. Just made him as alone as himself. He should be gloating, laughing along side Irep. Mocking. But all he feels is wrong.

Irep is what pulled him away from his thought. With mirth evident in his voice “That was one heck of a wish kid! What else ya got!” Dev opened his mouth to respond but was tackled by Hazel cutting off whatever he was about to say. Shes got him by the front of his shirt shaking him. “BRING THEM BACK!” She scream in his face. She was crying he noticed. He was

Dev is a clone you say??? That is an interesting take. Could explain why Dale is trying to replicate his lonely childhood onto Dev. I mean why else would he hire vicky. No no I think you are onto something here. Oh the potential to this. Can you clone from just one person? I guess there is no sharing of DNA if it’s just recreating it.

Ooo maybe Dale could be trying to give Dev the childhood he always wanted instead! No one watching over him constantly. No chores. Everything he could ever want. Fame and fortune. Little “creatures” to do everything for you (the drones).

Im not saying Dale is good for this cause he still forgot the number one thing which is love but who knows maybe Vicky was still selling the “love” goes into the lemonade.

This is a solid idea! How have I not seen anything for this!!

Prompt:

Dev finds out why Peri doesn’t use a human disguise

Got an outline idea for it under the cut. Didn’t mean for it to get quite as lengthy but im tired so I kept typing. Feel free to use my prompts but please tag me or send me a link cause I would love to see what you do. This should be in my bio not this post

Imagine with me now. Dev still has Peri pre final. And sees Wanda and Cosmo in human form a lot but never once Peri? Hazel has something je doesn’t and that can’t stand. Not wanting to embarrass himself in front of Hazel (i imagine this kid cares a lot about his image) he waits to confront Peri about it later.

“Peri why don’t you ever go into a human form? Or body? Or mode? Or whatever! Hazel gets to flaunt her fairies to everyone while you always hide!”

Peri in his usual fashion gets rather nervous and refuses to make eye contact with Dev. “Well Dev you see I uhh” his hands fidgeting with his wand. It’s not that he doesn’t know how or no human form picked out. “It’s just um that it’s.” Dev cuts off before he can even figure out what hes gonna say next “whats the hold up? Come on do it!” Imagine Dev doing a little stop with his foot. Peri winces and then turns to Dev with a forced smile “I don’t really think it’s-“ Only to be cut off by Dev with a loud annoyed groan “why am I even bothering with this “I wish you would turn into your human form! or whatever it is, human disguise!” At this Peri winces, gives a soft sign as he raises his wand there was a spider trying to crawl onto my face while writing this and with a poof of smoke presents him self as human.

Insert you idea of human Peri

With a little thunk of his shoes hitting the floor Peri stands there. Eyes blink a few times as he turns to look down on Dev “taadaa” he unenthusiasticly waves his arms over himself as if sarcastic. “There you go kid. My human form. Satisfied?” Dev gave him a look up and down. Peri shuffling a bit on the spot. Switching his weight. Dev began to walk around Peri as if inspecting like a new product searching him for a flaw “I don’t know what I expected. You just as lame as always but taller. He finished circling Peri, and with a final look he starts walking to the door.

Only to stop when he noticed Peri wasn’t following “well?” He turns back and looks at Peri. He sees Peri turn back into a fairy and start to float towards Dev. “No not like that! As a human!” A slight shocked look comes iver Peris face and is quickly replaced with defeat as he lifts his want to turn back into his disguise. Dev then waves his hand for Peri to follow. Peri Who is standing on the spot fidgeting with his hands a bit “listen Kid, my human disguise isnt really something I like walking around in. Or being in at all for a matter of a fact cause it’s rather pai-“ Dev once again cutting him off “it’s not even hard! Arent you supposed to be helping me? Can’t even do this one simple thing on your own?? It’s like I have to do everything by myself!” He huffs. Peri starts to respond but Dev speaks up first “I w~ish you would walk over here already!”

With a deep breath Peri uses his wand as a cane and leans on it heavily as he slowly trudges to where Dev is waiting. A slight wince in each step but he makes it there. Dev of course is unimpressed with this display “What was that? It’s just walking! It’s like the easiest thing in the world to do!” Another deep breath ‘following in your parent’s footsteps you got this.’ Peri tries to look Dev in the eye, though the sunglasses don’t help. “You know how easy it is for you use your tablet? A lot of kids or even adults struggle with technology on the level that you do everyday. But for me when it comes to walking, even though it’s easy and natural for a lot of people, it’s different. Imagine if every time you took a step your shoes are two sizes smaller. Or you have a very heave backpack on. Thats kinda what it’s like for me.” Trying his best to hopefully get Dev to understand. But the kid scoffed and crossed his arms “my shoes are always the right size and I don’t have to carry anything ever.” Thinking about it Peri had to agree “yeah I guess you are right. I don’t think I have seen you really carry much…. But thats not the point. The point that I am trying to make is walking in my human disguise, or even just as a fairy, is rather different for me. Theres no need for the details but what I described earlier is sorta how it is for me all the time. Without my cane I probably could walk at all, even with it is painful enough I don’t even wanna think about it without.” He shuddered at the thought of it. “Great now im thinking about it”

Tbh idk how to end this. I was gonna have Dev either not notice Peri wincing with each step. Have him meet up with Hazel and get scolded by wanda or cosmo (probably Hazel) about the state Peri is in. But that would require Peri to shut up and go with whatever his godkid wants. I think Peri is a bit hmmm he has some self worth to him I guess. Idk the word im tired lol.

Anyway sorry if this sucks I wrote it like three days apart and after work so im brain dead at this point.

Prompt: Peri isn’t back to normal after the effect of his magical back up.

Some lingering side effects could include but are not limited to:

Trouble doing none wish related magic

Soreness and aching when changing and maintaining other forms (in some cases this is still a symptom even if the change was a wish)

Discomfort, or pain in extreme cases, to continuously granting wishes or larger scale wishes

Dizziness and fatigue when using magic for long periods of time

Discomfort and pain when going long periods without granting a wish

Magical outbursts or magic spasms due to magical build up within the body

I think the final did Peri dirty cause they had to. Imagine how angsty that could have been and it’s a kids show in todays times.

They had to silly it up as much as they could. I would love to see the original storyboards and ideas for this. Though seeing bitch fartmens name on it does make me worry it’s another fetish thing
