hey i was wondering if there are any books you recommend about the history of Jewry and/or Israel/Palestine that you would recommend
I/P history:
The Question of Palestine by Edward Said
Anything by Rashid Khalidi
Daybreak in Gaza ed. by Mahmoud Muna
Ten Myths About Israel by Ilan Pappe
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Ilan Pappe
An Army Like No Other by Haim Bresheeth
The Way to the Spring by Ben Ehrenreich
Any of Joe Sacco’s work from Gaza, especially if you prefer graphic books over straight reading
The Palestine Laboratory by Antony Loewenstein
Hamas Contained by Tareq Barconi
Native by Sayed Kashua
non-fiction Jewish history I’ve read in the last year or so and enjoyed:
Three Worlds by Avi Shlaim
Torah from the Years of Wrath by Henry Abramson
The Memoirs of Gluckel of Hameln
The Insecurity of Freedom by Heschel (or anything by Heschel, although it’s more philosophy than history, but you will learn a lot)
Memoirs of a Warsaw Ghetto Fighter by Kazik
The Necessity of Exile by Shaul Magid
Bad Jews by Emily Tamkin

When I was little I had an irrational fear of when you tried to turn off your Windows XP and the screen would gradually turn Grey as you choose which power option to enter

That shit was SCARY!!!

A New Look with Old and New Pieces
This outfit came together because of the tie, which I bought months ago but hadn’t worn yet. I really enjoyed how everything came together. I’m also pretty jazzed that Chubstr recently rebloged from here recently.
Shirt - Gift from a friend at a local clothing swap, purchased at Kohl’s
Vest - thrift, found by partner who enthusiastically suggested I get it
Tie - Chaps, from TJ Maxx I am sorry, but who can resist a tie with bandana-wearing Frenchies on it?
Jeans - Nautica, from Destination XL
Socks - Gold Toe, from their outlet store
Shoes - Doc Martens, from Ross
