You can’t police others on what can and cannot bother them. Some people find things like that upsetting. It takes two seconds to tag it, and you saying you don’t want to help them filter it is honestly really selfish.
I know it is selfish indeed. But what is it exactly that they want me to help them filter? What is it that bothers them? My own subjective interpretations of a character relationship? A drawing that can be seen in different lights but they happened to see as triggering? In that case, everybody should tag everything as potentially triggering to someone, because as long as it doesn’t allign with someone’s views it can be bothering to them, and you have no means to know to what extent that thing can be damaging for them.

What is a ship?
It seems that the last of my drawings has created a bit of an issue regarding the use of ship tags in the Kuroshitsuji fandom, so I feel I need to offer an explanation before this keeps escalating.
For those who don’t know, this problem started when I uploaded a fanart piece in which Sebastian and Ciel appeared naked in the same room, something that both supporters and detractors immediately saw as suggestive content. And some were quick to note that it was not “properly” tagged as ship art. The thing is, however, that similar scenes has been portrayed in canon multiple times, from the suggestive official art of Ciel in the bath with Sebastians’ hand on him, to manga events such as when Sullivan cleaned them from the poisonous gas when Sebastian, fully naked, holds Ciel’s body, also fully naked, closely against his own.
In my picture, there isn’t any sort of interaction going on between the characters and no context is provided apart from a couple of lines from the anime opening. In this situation, I’m left considering two possible options:
1. That any character art, canon or fanmade, which doesn’t showcase acts of unequivocal romantic intention cannot be considered as ship art, and therefore doesn’t need the ship tag or any other sort of warning, regardless of potential erotic content.
Or
2. That any content including nudity or other sensual themes, canon or fanmade, will always be considered ship art and tagged as such regardless of lack of romantic intention or context. In this case, several official artworks, manga pages and anime episodes will be flagged as canon ship content.
Now, which one is it?

––helping them, not hindering them. surely the wellbeing of others doesn't mean that little to you? nobody's asking you to go crazily out of your way for this, it's just 1 extra tag, but it can mean the absolute world and make all the difference for people who have been through deep trauma.
This might sound rude, but people who have that sort of trauma shouldn’t be reading this manga. It deals with dark, psychological and sensitive topics. I, on the contrary, just make character fanart and leave it open to the viewer’s interpretation. No touching, no interaction, not even visual contact between the characters, unlike Yana’s official work full of fetish, bdsm and dominance elements, often in morbid settings. There isn’t any more Sebaciel in my latest drawing than in the official art of Ciel naked in the bathtub. If they insist in reading deeper than what’s objectively shown in it, there’s not much I can do about it.

hey, sebaciel shipper here! i know that it's tempting to just raise a middle finger to any anti-sebaciels, but some people find sebaciel content upsetting or triggering, and i've interacted with people before who are happy for people to ship sebaciel but can't interact with those sorts of posts without having panic attacks etc. it doesn't take long to properly tag posts and it can help for some people to avoid things that may be harmful or hurtful to them! please please consider this as well! ty
Everything in this world is potentially triggering or upsetting for someone. A mature person can’t just turn their face away from every single thing they don’t like.

Everything is sexier when done in a Victorian suit or dress.
Example:

coming home drunk and messy with your cravat askew and your hair slipping out of its painstaking parting? Sexy

Is there anyone else who’s in love with how Sebastian puts his hand around Ciel’s waist?
I mean, I just realized it with the latest official art but–
damn those–
possessive–
vibes!!!
Not to mention those other artwork where Sebastian’s got his hands around Ciel’s midriff–
What perfection.
