Muscoot Farm
Muscoot farm if a perfect destination for a family. Though it's a little confusing to find the beginning of the hike, we found it after talking to the office staff. Starting in the back of the parking lot, we followed the yellow trail. This trail has a gentle incline throughout the hike. You will pass a gazebo and many beautiful landscape images of the farm in the beginning of the hike. This hike was probably easier than we hoped for, but still a great experience while getting in touch with nature!

Rockwood Ramble!
Today we decided to run a 10k throughout Rockwood park. This 10k raised money for preserving the trails and parks in westchester! It took us an hour and 18 minutes to run/walk the 6.2 miles. The inclines definitely caught us by surprise but we were able to push through and make it to the finish. We loved how we could run along the Hudson river most of the way! Such a beautiful park and a beautiful day for a run!

Gym
This morning was raining so we shifted to our rainy day schedule. We first exercised our biceps and triceps, and warmed up with some cardio on the treadmill and rowing machines. We then took an upbeat, exhausting Zumba class. Zumba is a great way to exercise many muscle groups in an engaging way. Through a special type of dancing including body crunching and squatting, Zumba works out your hips, butt, and core. The instructor was hilarious and fun to watch. We had a great time!

Rockwood Park
Today we chose to go to Rockwood Park. This park is very easy to get to. As 117 continues south, it breaks into two roads. Stay left and a little while longer parking is on your left. Rockwood mostly has gravel roads, making it very easy to navigate and walk on. Rockwood is part of Rockefeller State Park Preserve, which we knew to be a very popular and respected place to hike and walk. We took the lower trail to the foundation loop today. These trails have amazing panoramic views of the Hudson River and there are beautiful landscapes all along the walk. Rockwood has many hills but they are all manageable for anyone to take on. We would recommend this hike for all families or elders who are looking for a beautiful, simple walk. Also, the Rockwood Rumble 10k takes place at Rockwood, which is a fun, competitive experience for all!
