You know what bothers me when people often complain about the joker movie? "It's not Jack Napier!!" And "why didn't they just do the killing joke??" They bring up the killing joke so much that they seem to forget that Jack Napier is not the only "real" joker name, there's multiple, and when people talk about the killing joke, they forget one of the most important quotes from it, "If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!" Joker's past has always been multiple choice, his real name has always been different, sometimes there's THREE jokers, Joker is never the same, we can never be sure what's true about him and what isn't, just because the killing joke is the most popular backstory for him, doesn't mean it's the only choice, even he says he doesn't know if that's what actually happened.
Tldr: Joker has always (by his own words) had a multiple choice past, from Jack Napier to Jack White to Arthur fleck, he's unpredictable, so no one backstory can be considered the real one.

It was a fan made comic, one that has really stuck with me and I've been wondering where it is or if it was even real or maybe my young brain had imagined it and it manifested itself as a comic in my memories.
Question
Does anybody remember a comic or post about handsome jack's past? It was angst
Lemme tell you what I remember, Little kid Jack returned home to his drowned cat, which was either in like the bathtub or like a bucket, can't remember which one, then I think after that there was this scene with his back open by the buzzaxe? If you have any leads on where I could find it PLEASE let me know! It's been living in my head for years now and I haven't been able to find it since I saw it many years ago.

I've been thinking about him for a while, Revelations states that Skeletor is entirely incapable of love, but we know that's false. While yes he is incredibly abusive towards Evil Lyn and his warriors, comics show that it wasn't always like that.
When he was Keldor, he seemed to be genuine friends with his warriors, he was on a path to change the world for the better, for "all free men" as he states, he wanted to rule Eternia because it's unfair that because of some blood in his veins he is unfit to rule, that his gar half is so hated, gar as a whole were not liked as a species. In the 200X series we saw that Keldor treated everyone with kindness as he brought them to his side and he and Evil Lyn were close and it was good for them from what we saw, yet it all changed when he became Skeletor.
In a different comic it's said that Hordak made a demon called Demo-man possess Keldor when he saved his life which drives him further into insanity even more than losing his face already had, which could be a source of his sudden change into abusing those closest to him, yet, in other comics despite Skeletor being Skeletor he is capable of love, specifically towards Shadow weaver (Aside from his wife in the Revolution's comic), if I remember correctly he was madly in love with her and never hurt her, but she was loyal to Hordak so it didn't work out in the end even after he helped her raise Adora.
Not to mention, even as Skeletor he loves animals like Panthor, he adores that panther more than anything, he's shown kindness to kids even rescuing them because he's evil but he's not evil
Revolution just.. makes it seem like Skeletor has always been an abusive asshole even before he met Lyn and that he never loved her at all, they essentially turned him into the He-man version of The joker, that he's abusive because he can be, someone who wants to be in an endless battle with He-man because of some obsession? That's quite literally what Joker wants, that's what he does, incapable of loving anyone but himself and Batman, abusing Harley as he strives to forever fight batman. THAT is what they did to Skeletor in this.
And I actually kind of really hate it.
I was thinking about Skeletor’s obsession with He-Man and it occurred to me that it can’t have been going on that long. Adam is young. How long could he have actually been He-Man? And Skeletor doesn’t seem to really care about Adam much at all. It’s weird that he’s fixated so much on this one person who must be a relatively new bane to his existence. Maybe Skeletor just gets hyper-fixated? Maybe it was Hordak before?
I also found Skeletor’s insistence that he loved Evil-Lyn interesting. Perhaps it was just him trying to manipulate her but I feel like he also could have thought he did. Or at least his version. That he is so unfamiliar with how love works that he thought that by wanting her, that was close enough. I know the recent comics show him with a wife and child but they chose not to address that in the show and honestly that felt weird to me anyway.
All of this to say that Skeletor is an interesting dude!
I really do not understand what Revelation is trying to do with Skeletor.
The tie-in comics don't just show that he once had a wife and a daughter. There's also a panel after he finished telling Evil-Lyn about his dead wife and kidnapped daughter; Skeletor looks back at Evil-Lyn and he sees her as his dead wife.
Tumblr media
Before Part 2 dropped, I thought that Skeletor was going to sacrifice Evil-Lyn to bring his dead wife back and that's what this frame was implying.
Now, after watching Part 2, I think its more likely that Skeletor was projecting his feelings for his dead wife onto Evil-Lyn. Skeletor might very well have been in-love with a version of Evil-Lyn, but it was a version of her that only lived in his head and wasn't really her. Which could also be a source for his abuse. She's not his dead wife, and she's not whatever version of her he's imagined in his head, and when Evil-Lyn shows that, Skeletor retaliates with abuse (either verbal or physical).
But again, I don't know.
As for Skeletor's obsession with He-Man, we don't know how long Adam has been He-Man for. Adam is an adult in Revelation and acts like he's been He-Man for a while. In Filmation, they don't say what age Adam was when he got the sword, but in 200X it was on Adam's sixteenth birthday that he was given the sword and became He-Man. So, if we assume he was also 16 in the universe of Revelation when he became He-Man, and he's somewhere between 19-24 during the events of Revelation, then He-Man and Skeletor's feud has been going on for 3 to 8 years. I think that more-or-less justifies Skeletor's grudge and hyper fixation.

You know, it annoys me every time someone calls Billy a racist asshole, he wasn't, I know for a fact he wasn't.
He never once said anything racist, never acted out in disgust at any other black characters, not even Lucas himself, not Lucas' family, not any background characters, non of that, he never made any comments about race either,
And don't bring up the "That kid is one of them" into this, because do you know what he saw? He saw some random kid arguing with his sister, he saw some kid making her upset to the point she walked up to the car teary eyed and tried lying about what happened, that's what he saw, he stood there in the background watching the entire time and I'm sure he may have heard a thing or two due to their arguing, Max said it herself that Lucas treats her badly, that is what he saw and of course, despite him taking his anger out on her, he cares, it's shown he cares because he saved all of their lives by sacrificing his own in the end.
Billy was never racist, he just didn't get the full picture of why Max was already walking to his car damn near crying when they've just moved into the town.
Tldr: Billy wasn't racist, just saw Max coming to his car nearly crying and thought she was being bullied already.

Many days I'm happy with who I am, I'm happy to have figured out where I seem to fit in, with other Non-binary folk, I've never felt more like I've found somewhere I could truly thrive, but- on other days, I feel guilt.. I feel guilt that I couldn't provide my parents with a "normal child" as many would say. I'm not the daughter they wanted me to be, I don't like makeup, I don't like dresses, I don't like high heels, I don't understand when my mother is trying to give me advice on feminine things, I can't relate to her on anything other than loving plants and chickens. But, I can't relate to my dad all too much either, we only really share a love for similar music and Pokémon go surprisingly, maybe I like a few shows my parents like but we don't really bond over them anymore. On bad days I feel bad they have to watch their child, who they still refer to as their daughter despite already knowing for nearly a year that I'm not a girl, be exactly that, watching their child not fit in and not relate with anything around them, I'm sorry I had to give that to them, I'm sorry I've made things so much harder for them but I can't help it, I can't not being who they wanted me to be.

Why Nonbinary Borderlands Fans are Mad About Zer0′s Pronouns, In a Timeline
2012
Zer0 was introduced in Borderlands 2 as a character meant to be absurdly mysterious in almost every way.  Zer0 is apparently not their real name, they seem not to be human (but it’s unclear if they’re an alien, robot, or something else entirely), no one knows where they came from, etc. Still, in Borderlands 2, they defaulted to he/him, and was assumed male.  It’s worth noting that Borderlands 2 also featured Bloodwing, Mordecai’s pet alien bird. In the original Borderlands Bloodwing was referred to as he/him, but switched between games to she/her. This is explained outside the game by Burch, who says that Bloodwing’s species changes gender halfway through life.
2013
Gearbox released the Diamond Plate Loot Chest. In it was the “Pandoran Gazette” an in-universe newspaper. It included an “Ask Doctor Tannis” advice column, the last question being:
Dear Doctor Tannis,
I have heard you are acquainted with the vault hunter known as “Zer0”. I have been meaning to ask - that’s not really his true name, is it? Hell, maybe Zer0 isn’t even a “he”. Do you have any details on this mysterious figure?
- Curious in Old Haven
Dear Curious,
I am indeed acquainted with the towering stack of leather and poorly-written poetry that so many refer to as “Zer0”. As you have correctly noted, “Zer0” is not the Vault Hunter’s true name. Zer0’s actual name and gender are (CONTINUED ON PAGE 9)
Page 9 was not included. To my knowledge, this was where it was first seeded that Zer0 may not be male.
November 2, 2014
In a panel titled “Playing as a female character panel - Does it Matter” during PAX Australia, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford discussed Zer0’s gender:
“The other things that’s interesting to me is sometimes when there’s characters that don’t have a gender or have an ambiguous gender I’ll choose them…In Borderlands 2 we left Zer0’s identity very ambiguous. What gender is he?” *crowd laughs* “We need better pronouns, don’t we? Don’t we need better pronouns?” (Timestamp)
“What’s the gender of Zer0?….That says more about me than it does say about Zer0, the fact that I use the pronoun he when I describe Zer0. In fact, um, we purposely have left Zer0’s gender ambiguous. There’s a lot of folks at Gearbox that like to think that maybe Zer0’s of a particular species that doesn’t have gender- That is more androgynous.”  (Timestamp)
(Timeline continues under cut)

You know, I've been thinking, Jack was a fantastic father before he snapped, before the day Angel accidentally killed her mother. But, I don't think even after that day for the first couple years maybe, that he was horrible, he was bad but he wasn't horrible, yes he'd already locked her up, but as a man that was severely physically abused growing up and as a grieving man with the loss of his wife at his own daughter's hands (when she was almost kidnapped no less), he probably did think putting her in that room, perhaps temporarily, was the right course of action at the time, I'm not saying it was okay to do because it definitely wasn't but when you think of what his punishment was for even forgetting to do his bed (his cat being drowned) he probably thought he was doing good because he never hit her of caused her any scars, things like that.
That being said, I feel like the day Angel lost her dad was the day Handsome Jack was born, the day he got the scar and hid his face, the day he saw that he could use her to kill all life on that planet. If her imprisonment was meant to be temporary it became permanent that day, that's the day she stopped seeing him as her father.

I would like to publicly apologize to my cat
You see, you ever have that moment when your phone/tablet falls forward and hits you right in the face? Well- my tablet fell backwards as I was under the blanket with him and it bonked him right over the head, my poor sweet boy. He surprisingly wasn't bothered at all, still feel really bad about it.

Okay so I've heard some people be really annoyed with how Bruno sang, like the "I need a doorknob" line, since they didn't sound as flawless as the others lines who sang, however, to me the singing made perfect sense.
Imagine having been as silent as a mouse for 10 years, probably not singing once during that time as to not make anyone hear you were there, then ten years later you sing again with zero practice while the rest of the family probably sing daily, it makes sense his singing isn't as great as theirs and I love it, it adds to his character more, his singing may not be the best and yet the family appreciate his efforts to join in.
