Robin crossed one arm across her abdomen and leant the other arm up against her chin in thought. She remained silent for a short while, It was still all business with this fellow, and despite her teasing, she couldn't seem to break his composure. Still, it was worth a try. She just wanted to see him squirm a little.
"Well I'm sure however powerful you still are, you're strong enough to kill me, yes? I'd better tread carefully then. I'm sure it's quite terrifying indeed." She definitely wasn't treading carefully at the moment, and she certainly didn't look terrified with that smug look on her face.
"So you plan to make an enemy of everybody who isn't under you? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Nonetheless, you can expect me to stay out of your hair for a short while yet. I have much more important things to investigate right now. This city has intrigued me." Yes, for a prison, this place was surprisingly open and... Not-oppressive. It may not have been archaeology exactly, but the architecture of this place fascinated her. She needed to learn more.
"So you see one familiar face, make a business proposition, and then stagger off? Well, hopefully we won't get in one another's ways in the close future then. Good luck Mister Zero." The way she said it, the word Zero sounded much less cool than it was supposed to. Yet another subtle poke at his ego probably.
.]Started from the top now we're here.
" I see… What a shame. "
The decline to his invitation left a bitter, tobacco filled taste in his mouth. That or the cigar who knows. Crocodile kept his poker face up, no matter what. The less she could read the better, he was already having it up to here with her smug way of talking. The wooden hook started to rattle in his arm.
Giving out how he was dampen by the scientists? For free? To someone who wasn’t even gonna work for him? No, Crocodile had no intention for such chit-chats that might as well damage him in the future.
" … That’s none of your business of what they done to me. Such information is restricted to business acquaintances only. " He replied in a bitter tone.
He slowly walked towards her. Staring the woman down, only dropping contact as soon as he passed her. Stopping as she was right behind him.
" I believe our business is done here. If you’re not working for me you’re working against me. I need to set things into work if I want things done in this place.
I do not believe this will be our last meeting, Miss All Weekend. But next time, depending on the situation, I might not be as merciful as I was today. “
Maybe he was getting soft after all. But for every action to not kill Robin he had made a reason for. There simply wasn’t a reason to kill her over not killing her as things were this very moment.

❣ - Describe her hands
Well we've certainly seen a lot of those in One Piece. Robin's hands probably get more screentime than she does!
One Piece has a rather cartoony style, so many body proportions for any character seem unusual or unrealistic. Quite suitably so however, Robin's hands often seem fairly large, but they maintain quite a delicate appearance, perhaps because she has additionally sprouted pairs of hands to do all her dirty work. Nonetheless Robin seems quite dexterous and very handy to have around. Her hands have done a lot of handy things. I'd imagine Robin's hands aren't exactly perfectly soft or fragile however, and I'd think they'd look like they've been through some ordeals in her life. As an archaeologist she's probably getting them dusty, dirty or cut fairly frequently. She's also been in fights, tussles and all sorts of other rough situations.
... Describing hands isn't something I'm used to.

✍- Introduce you to a muse I'd like to RP as
This one should be quite a familiar face to many, and may not need too much of an introduction, but...
When I was deciding to RP as Robin, the other choice on my mind was Skyla from Pokémon Gen 5. I last played her in a literate Pokémon RP group called Hall of Fame and really enjoyed it. I love playing Skyla for various reasons, and I put in a lot of research before playing her to take something as simple as a Pokémon character and make her a bit more immersive and believable considering her professions.
Skyla is, for lack of a better term, a bit of a cursed character when it comes to RP, much like Cynthia from Pokémon as well. A certain side of their fandom sees them very differently to how they actually are. (eg. a lot of sexual stuff because of their figures, or 'airhead' jokes.)
Skyla is canonically a plane engineer and mechanic, so I actually sort of went out of my way to do a little research on some very vague aeronautical things, so I could have her ramble on semi-accurately about aeronautical science and nobody would have a clue what I'm on about, and that would be totally okay. She has to juggle cargo deliveries, plane (and other machines) engineering and gym battles, so it's safe to say that she's a hard working girl, and probably a total genius in her field. I may still pick her up here at some point if I feel like I can manage 3 characters.

To what extent should Robin break the fourth wall here? She's sung this opening before... Technically. But at the same time she's not used to her life having an Opening.
"What an uplifting song~ But I can't help but be a little conscious of its omniscient context... I feel like I just watched a short collage of the Straw Hats. Who... made this exactly?"

Crocodile responded just as Robin had anticipated; a denial of all her claims on 'helping' and whatnot. This just furthered her amusement if anything, closing her eyes calmly and giving yet another quiet, calm chuckle. Akainu, there was a common enemy that the two could agree on atleast. She was sure her captain would agree too. Nonetheless, a common enemy wasn't enough to get Robin teaming up with 'Mr. 0' again so easily.
"If you think you can kill the man who'll become king of the pirates, you're welcome to try. Nevertheless..." The archaeologist waved a hand calmly and dismissively, shaking her head a couple of times. "I still think I'll attempt to settle in before I make any deals. I do hope you plan to let me walk away without joining in this little deal of yours. I've grown quite fond of joining groups that don't threaten to kill me, after all."
Robin's sly smirk returned to her lips again, she seemed calm enough, but she was enjoying this teasing reunion of hers. If what she was thinking was true, just like herself, Crocodile's abilities had been taken from him, but to what extent? Regardless, as always she'd prefer not to get into any tussles so quickly, even if her somewhat constant jabs and teases at the man's ego probably didn't help.
"I do wonder, though. How did the scientists treat you? I've had quite the dampener put on me, really. A big shame, that. I'm sure you're still very capable of cruelly drying out every part of my body until I die in a crispy, terrifying, and most disgraceful way. Am I wrong?" Now she was just being mean.

Right, police. That’s what it was called around here. They’re all dogs to the government, they’re all the same in Crocodile’s eyes. Crocodile was a ruthless man, ” helping people “, what a useless act. If there was no personal gain what use was it? Maybe Crocodile had become slightly more humble and mellow after his defeat by Monkey D. Luffy, but it was nothing he acknowledged.
He rolling the cigar clockwise in his mouth as he grew more imposing at the thought of ” asking for help ” and ” helping Luffy “.
" Don’t get the wrong idea, Nico Robin. I didn’t save the straw hat for goodwill. I did it only because I was tired of Akainu always getting things his way. I will kill the straw hat myself one day if he gets in the way. "
The criminal looked around, making sure there were no unnecessary eavesdroppers before he continued.
" And I didn’t ask you for help. I am giving you an offer. You join me under my command. You do as I say and do it. You betray me and I’ll kill you.
This money here is nothing, but it’s enough to set off the first phase of obtaining more money. Paying an upfront fee, I will step into the underbelly of this world. There I will make more money and contacts.
Of course, there are things you’re more capable of achieving than I am. That’s why I am giving you this offer, because you have your uses. You will get your fair cut. ” He pulled out the bundle of money and split the amount in two, one much smaller than the other one. " When we’re done with the first move. I will split it 80/20. You can do what you want with your share. I do not care what you use it on. "
He put the money back together into one thin wad and hid it inside the large golden base of his hook. Now all that remained was the woman’s answer. Regardless what it was gonna be, Sector 3 was the next goal.
Money was power, more money was more power. This was gonna be an important stage to rebuild his crime syndicate. It had to work out almost near perfectly to get a good start. And Crocodile knew all about the shady world.
No matter where you are, as long as things runs on money, people are all the same.

Robin contently crossed her arms, remaining as composed as always, offering that smug grin all the while. She glanced down at the young fellow with a wallet thrown onto his face. What Crocodile did here could be either desperation or all part of the plan. One wad of cash from an easy target would help after all.
"Quite a few things suit me better nowadays. You however, don't seem to have changed much at all." Robin's dialogue was still heavy with a tone of teasing. She certainly seemed more confident than when they worked together. She wasn't too surprised that Crocodile knew she was with the Straw Hats too, since her Wanted posters were scattered about back at home, flying the name 'Straw Hat Pirates'.
Was that 'kill anyone who's a nuisance' statement a threat? Or was he merely referring to the masses of this city? Regardless, what he said about alerting the Marines caught her attention.
"And, have you seen any Marines here? I'm yet to see anything that even resembles them. I have seen the occasional 'police' vehicle moving about, but they took no interest in me whatsoever, their uniforms didn't match anything I'd seen before either. Never hurts to be on the safe side I suppose, but wouldn't that just make this young man a witness? Hushing him up completely would be much more effective." Robin was cold and morbid with her implications as usual, but this didn't actually reflect her desired outcome, she was just speaking her mind. Preferably, she didn't want budding, potentially careless youths losing their lives over nothing, however she was yet to understand the weight of 'death' in this city.
"Are you genuinely asking me for a helping hand, Crocodile? That's rather surprising, though I guess you were never one to fret about the details, and if you need people, you need people. I even heard you helped my Captain at the Marineford battle. I couldn't help but chuckle a little~" Robin seemed eager to tease Crocodile for anything that may have made him seem remotely soft, but well aware that he probably had his reasons for everything.
"Well, you know how splendidly we worked as a team before." Her voice was stoic, but there was a blatant tinge of sarcasm there. "However I think our little falling out was largely my doing, with how I operated back then. I think I'd rather understand our situation a little better before I form any shady alliances."
.]Started from the top now we're here.
A familiar face among a sea of nobodies. Once the old man saw who it was he mused for himself and let out a laugh.
" Kuhahaha! "
" Miss All Sunday, what a surprise. I see you found a new outfit to wear, how it suits you. "
Gone soft? HIm? While he could have snapped the kid’s neck with his right hand alone, there was no need to cause an investigation so soon over such petty amount of money. Crocodile knew all about staying in the shadows and play every step underneath the radar of the government.
But what more, now before stood an interesting opportunity. He inhaled, making the cigar glow faint of red.
" Don’t make a mistake, I still don’t have a problem killing anyone that’s a nuisance. But making the marines alert is not my plan right now…
So, Miss All Sunday. What are you gonna do now? I don’t see your little straw hat ” friends ” around. I am currently looking for some helping hands. “
The relationship between Crocodile and Nico Robin had never surpassed anything more than job related. Hell they have even tried to off one another during their last time.
He knew just how useful Nico Robin was, a good asset to a team. It would be a waste would he have to kill her right here right now. The tall man scratched his chin with his wooden hook in anticipation.
The youngster started to groan and regain consciousness. Crocodile delivered a swift kick to reset his sleep.

This was the first time in a while that Robin felt particularly moved to have been forced away from company. Having spent her whole life until the past two years or so moving from gang, to crew, to establishment, using them to her personal benefit as she deemed fit before moving on, this forced change in scenery reminded her once again how the Straw Hats had changed her life for the better.
But, as usual, the archaeologist adapted. She wasn't going to jump to any conclusions before she learnt more, but the sheer size and appearance of this city and the constant mention of scientists had her thinking of the elusive Vegapunk, however she was yet to really see any familiar faces or anything that could even indicate this as some sort of Marine Base, it really was like she was stripped out of one world and dropped into another. The bystanders in this city lived as if what they had was the complete norm, all this unusual architecture and technology. In spite of all the thoughts running through her mind, Robin remained stoic and calm.
After continuing her rather aimless walk through the city upon arrival, she narrowed her eyes as she felt something familiar just slipped into her field of vision. Immediately she turned her head and saw a large, cloaked figure duck into an alley. It couldn't be... Was this just a coincidence? She considered moving on and pretending as if she saw nothing, but in this situation, if they're both roaming freely about this city, they ought to be in the same predicament.
Robin stepped around the corner and into the Alley, only to give a smug smirk as the very person she thought it was acknowledged her presence, but didn't seem to immediately recognize her. Understandably so, they were far from home, and it had been a couple of years since they last met.
"Ah, so it was you, 'Mr. 0'." She used that name almost teasingly, lifting a hand to her mouth as she gave a quiet chuckle. "My eyes aren't very good at 'unseeing', and my memory's far too good to forget. I'm just surprised you didn't kill the poor young man. Have you gone soft Crocodile? Then again, I could understand if it would be hard to kill someone with a hook made of wood."
.]Started from the top now we're here.
Money, every amount he could get a hold of would instantly increase his wealth. If he could get some quick cash, he could go to the more shady parts of District 3, the most criminal place of the city.
But right now, Crocodile was in a much calmer district. He scanned his surroundings as he walked in the masses. Enough money to pay the entrance fee and some pocket money for the places he was gonna go to. That was his current goal. One swift theft should pay him well enough.
He spotted a teenager taking money out from an ATM. How convenient move flows in this world. One block later and Crocodile pulled the boy he had stalked into an alley. The dark shadows and tight folk masses on the main street along with all the traffic made a perfect barricade of noise and lose of focus of the people.
It was nothing too fatal, a strong sucker punch into the gullet, making the teen lose both breath and consciousness in one go. Rummaging the wallet he took the money, put it inside his own jacket and started to make his move out.
" This is why you don’t walk around with a big amount of money, kid. I hope you learnt something new today. " Crocodile said to the unconscious kid, flipping the wallet onto the kid’s face as he turned towards the exit of the alley, stopping and noticing that there was a witness.
The towering man looked towards the direction of where the witness was. Puffing on his cigar before he spoke.
" So what are you gonna do? Are you gonna play hero and try to stop me? Or pretending you didn’t see anything?
One of these options will leave you still alive to see tomorrow. “
