Amber irises stare over at Kareena, red brow raising before a sigh falls from his lips. “Of course I do.” He turns his back to her, hands fumbling with the spread of food across the table as he made her a rather large serving of everything he’d brought with him. “Just because it’s cold and dead doesn’t mean it’s not there.”

“Yes,” she hummed, “I think I would like a massage afterwards too.”

A smirk tugs at the edges of warm lips. “Your reward shall depend on just how good of a job you do.”

“And no breaking out of them either!” She’s making sure she covers her bases.

“I won’t break out of them. Anything else, hm?”

“First I’ve gotta make sure you won’t ignite anything I tie you down with. Can I get your word, Mr. Greed?”

“Alright then,” he chuckled. “You have my word. Now when do we get to the good part.”

Tardiness was something Gage rarely tolerated. He prided himself on always being on time and holding those around him to the same standards. But he understood that sometimes it couldn’t be avoided. Like right now, for instance. Where the other was still here when it had been his time. Yet, he didn’t fuss. He wasn’t too concerned for he knew to expect such things every once in a while. He was merely surprised this was the first time for him.

Blue eyes watch as the other performed, a smile lingering upon his lips. It wasn’t an everyday thing that he ran into other performers, he found it to be rather nice to just sit back and watch someone else for once. Time wasn’t a concern for him, he scheduled his sessions long enough to give himself plenty of time so he merely stood there. His team had already finished unloading, equipment at the ready the moment Gage were to signal them to start.

Only once the other was done did he give them the cue, each instantly springing into action before the nephilim stepped closer. “Did you write that yourself?”

“Funny how you thought you got me,” Reyes half-spoke, half-sang his body still imagining the rhythm despite it getting quieter, “When you know I never play fair. It’s funny how you thought you’ve won–”

He leaned into the mic as he whispered, “When you weren’t even a player.”

The drums and guitar made themselves more pronounced in lieu of his silence. Internally Reyes sighed as he really wished those guys could’ve stuck around. They were really good. But alas time is money when it came to recording. And while they could nail it in less time than him, Reyes was still here waiting for that last hit before he went in for the swell.

“’Cause I’m deeeeeeeeeevil in disguiiiiiiissssseeee!” he belted, having to resist grabbing the stand as if to emphasize his notes, “Lips spilling gilded words and honeyed lies!”

Reyes couldn’t wait for this one to go out. He was sure that Zelig would get a good laugh out of this one. Since he was the inspiration here. He ran through the rest of his lines and sunk to the ground in relief because he could feel this was it. 

Reyes’ face peeked through the glass to see the audio engineer giving the thumbs up. But Reyes noticed someone else. Had he been there the whole time? Maybe not. He called, “Sorry, man, we ran late. We can wrap up while you set up.”

Pros and cons to dating Xavier

Pros:

He’s another one that I really don’t think there are any pros…

Cons:

He’s a demon. He was originally a human who did so much bad in his life that when his soul went to hell it was slowly twisted until finally, he became what he is now

He’s a bounty hunter who not only kills for a living but he uses those targets to devour their souls and make himself stronger

He’s an asshole

Manners are… Pretty much nonexistent in this guy

Foul mouth

Smokes a lot 

Drinks a lot

Sex, dating, and relationships, in general, are of little interest to this man

Doesn’t like most people. Doesn’t get along with most people either

Not a single romantic bone in his body (though it is a really nice body)

Hasn’t cared about a single person since before his death (quite a few centuries ago)
