I really think they need to start teaching kids in schools that most blind people can see a little bit, most deaf people can hear a little bit, and most wheelchair users can walk a little bit. And they are still disabled.

Things I remember but wish I never spoke

Driving passed Nationwide Children's Hospital and telling my then boyfriend (+future baby daddy) that I hope our kid never goes there.

Bella has had 30+ surgeries in that hospital.

When I was a kid, I never wanted children because I feared I'd have a mentally ill child and would never take good care of them.

Growing up, I had a family member who shook their child and disabled them for life. They essentially got away with it because they were a sheriff.

I've learned so much being a mom but somedays I still feel so ignorant.
