A character washed up ashore after a storm; tangled in seaweed with the rest of the flotsam and debris tossed above the tideline, crusted with sand, clothing torn and limbs abraded by rocks and barnacles, eyes and nose stinging with salt, beginning to burn in the unforgiving sun yet still nearly hypothermic with the bone-deep chill of the water and their sodden, waterlogged clothing; every breath damp and crackling through the congestion of inhaled water and saltspume; utterly spent with the exhaustion of trying to stay afloat for so long, not roused by seabirds pecking at their raw hands, nor by the lap of the encroaching tide at their feet...
Then someone searching the strand for salvageable wreckage finds them.

I love lady whump so much!! I love a woman overcoming challenging, painful situations through her own wits and resourcefulness. I love a woman being rescued by friends moments before she succumbs to her injuries. I love a spy woman getting caught while undercover and ending up in enemy hands. I love an adventuring woman biting off more than she can chew against a pack of monsters. I love a woman navigating what it means to be a woman in this world and dealing with that. I love a woman in a story where her gender doesn't matter at all. I love women fainting and getting caught in snowstorms and twisting their ankles on hikes and getting lost at sea. I love women who fight back with everything they have, and women who hold on tight to themselves and endure what they have to.
I just love, love, love when women are the heart of a story, when their pain and struggle are used not to further a male character's plot but for her own, and her emotions and resolution are centered beyond anything else!
✨ women ✨

Whumpy Moments #34
That little hitch of breath and strained grunt when someone's shoved a little too hard against a wall.
Then disoriented eyes flickering back and force before locking onto their attacker.
Shrinking back as if they could melt into the wall.
Their attacker's hands press to the wall on either side, boxing them in. Close enough to feel the warmth of their body.
Eyes skittering to the side, then closed. Chin tucked down and away.
"Please-"

oh my god oh my god HNNGHHO whump detail thougHT
WHumpee who's found delirious from an illness/injury/both by strangers and taken home, and in their half conscious state they perceive the space around them as being some dark cave full of shadows and unfamiliar shapes or some other horrible hellscape and their nightmares are TERRIBLE, but later when they wake up properly and get a better look around them and it's morning and the window is open and they see they're just in bed in a small comfortable room and everything is fine actually

Whumper grabbing Whumpee by the jaw, forcing Whumpee’s petrified eyes to meet theirs. They slowly leaned in and whispered against Whumpee’s ear, causing Whumpee to shudder as they felt Whumper’s warm breath ghost against their skin, “No one will ever love you like I do, Whumpee. Remember that.”

MAY 6TH “WHO DIED AND LEFT YOU IN CHARGE?”
Rope | Surprise | Warehouse || @themerrywhumpofmay
(TCW: implied intimate whumper, threatening, restraints, semi-failed mission, implied gang/mafia trope, man handling, kidnapping)
“We both know he’s not coming up with the money, so we brought you a collateral,” A minion announced to the boss, throwing a squirming, restrained Whumpee onto the desk in front of them. The trek through the warehouse and into his office had been grueling, with them flailing around the whole time.
“Who the fuck is this?” Whumper asked in irritation, “I said I wanted his kidney, or his money.”
“This is his partner.”
Whumpee thrashed in their multiple bindings but had been folded like an umbrella and wrapped with every rope and wire they could find in their home.

Thinking of whumper grabbing Whumpee by the throat and slamming them against the wall before whispering in their ear, “Say that one more time and see where that gets you.”

i am ALL DOWN for caretakers who are soft and gentle towards the whumpee, with all the hair brushing, back rubbing, the “you’re okay"s and the “sweetheart"s, but then they go and beat the ever living shit out of a whumper

Okay but manhandling??
Getting forced roughly to their knees ((perhaps with a gun pointed at their face))
Getting roughed up as a threat ((and their friends/caretaker finding out))
Slammed against a wall
Arms twisted painfully behind their back
A hand harshly covering their mouth
An arm wrapped around their neck, back flush against their captor
Grabbed by the hair
Grabbed around the midsection and lifted as they struggle
Grabbed by their shirt collar and pinned against a wall
Yeah,,, manhandling very good
