Idk if anyone's theorized/ headcanoned this... but what if Niffty and Vox were married in life?

What if Niffty was a Japanese war bride, brought over to America after the war, and married to Steve J. Voxford?

This implies that Vox is a WWII veteran, but that wouldn't be surprising as lots of young men fought for their country in that time.

After the war, Vox became an anchor on the local news, and he and Niffty had a comfortable suburban life.

But the rose-tinted view was not to last. Vox became controlling and manipulative as he climbed the television industry ladder, and Niffty turned into a mentally unstable housewife. Vox was even in the process of getting her a lobotomy to fix her.

She murdered her cockroach of a husband and his mistress in a fit of jealous rage after discovering he was cheating on her, and consequently committed suicide days later, even though she'd scrubbed the crime scene so clean that it was impossible to tell there had been a murder.

Skip forwards to Hell.

Vox Corp is the biggest thing since radio, Niffty tries to make ends meet by earning wages as a maid, though not very successfully. She keeps getting fired for staring into space while the vacuum runs, or burning eggs as she smiles vacantly.

Enter Alastor.

After he breaks off his partnership with Vox, Alastor takes Niffty under his wing through their shared hatred of the television demon -- and though Niffty tends to have a hard time remembering, she sometimes feels a hollow wrath at the sight of a television or camera...
