Can I just say that I love how this scene was handled? The dramatic shots really landed here, they didn’t feel out of proportion or underwhelming. Plus it’s cool to witness this animated since Mephisto always has the upper hand against those in True Cross. Lucifer has been introduced for a while and it’s been established that he’s leagues ahead in terms of power. Yet he still hasn’t done much to exercise that power against Mephisto. So it’s kind of refreshing to see Mepphy get his butt handed to him by Satan. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mepphy and he’s by far my favorite. But he’s such a powerful demon and to see him be worried about humans, seeing why he’s so worried when he has to deal with Satan and Lucifer… it shows a more serious side to him we don’t get to see often.

Also of course he dabs. Here’s hoping he t-poses to assert dominance next.
