I've seen other people post about this, but please remember not to blame the gods for the less than savory results of this election. Instead go to them for comfort and solace, and I'm sure they will have our backs during this trying time. I felt their presence with me alot today. May the gods be with you! 💙

BIG shoutout to those who are practicing in secret
y'all don't get enough recognition because leading a double life is exhausting (i know because i'm one of those people leading that very same double life)
shoutout to those who can't tell anyone about their practise
shoutout to anyone who can't own tarot or oracle decks and so use household items to do divination
shoutout to those who can't have candles or fancy altars
shoutout to those who practice in secret.

Just a reminder (specifically to US folks) that the gods are not at fault for the election results. I feel this is important to say because while some of us were praying for different results, it doesn't mean that we were ignored, forgotten, or left on our own. The way I think about it is that the gods don't control the individual free wills of people; we have our own free will and make our own decisions. We can't blame them for the actions of others, for the free will of others. It sucks that things turned out the way that we did, but it's not the fault of the gods. Try to remember that.
Furthermore, they'll have the backs of their worshippers during the times ahead. They didn't completely abandon us or something. If they supported you before the election, they'll continue sharing that support with you. They're not going to leave you swimming in the middle of the ocean without a lifeboat.

Cheap paganism tips!
Pinterest boards!! I got this idea from @beautyofaphrodite, and it's really handy!
Tumblr media
Boom!! Free (and potentially secret) altars!
2. Tealight candles! You can get like 100 of them for cheap and use empty sauce jar lids to put them on! You can also pour liquid offerings into the lids while you burn the candles, just make sure the liquid is totally heat safe first.
3. Playlists! I have completely free playlists for all my deities that I play whenver! It's great to play these playlists when doing something associated with that deity, like playing a Hermes playlist traveling or a Hypnos playlist when sleeping.
4. Anything digital! You can make blogs dedicated to them, picsart collages for them, tiktok, twitter, even Facebook pages or accounts for them!
I'll reblog this with more examples when and if I think of them!!

Tip for Closeted Worshippers: Pinterest Boards
Note: Any “tips for closeted worshippers” or “tips for beginning worshippers” posts are not meant to make me seem like an expert or authority on anything. Any advice given is things that work or have worked for me in these situations and may not work for everyone. Additionally, these things can work for anyone, but they are more subtle and can be done in secret. Those of you in a situation where it’s not safe to even do some of the subtle worship things because someone could find out, please, please don’t put yourself in a situation that could potentially threaten your safety. The Gods understand.
Pinterest boards are a great option for secret worship for many reasons. For one thing, they are completely online. Also, there’s the option to make a “secret board”, which nobody who follows you there can see unless you specifically invite them. In a situation where someone could even see your secret boards, you could name them something like “Pretty Aesthetic” for Lady Aphrodite or “Sleepy Aesthetic” for Lord Hypnos, for example.
These boards could include whatever you want, from things whoever you offer it to is associated with, to art/statues of Them, prayers to Them, or anything else you want to add or They want you to add.
Example of mine:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Ignore the Marvel Loki in my Loki board- They wanted it and we both thought it was funny)
So yeah, this was a little tip for something more secretive or subtle you guys could do if you want!

When I'm making things for my deities songs usually pop into my head, which I add to their playlist when I'm done. Here's some that have popped into my head while painting!

A prayer to all my gods!
Dear Lord Dionysus, kind god of wine, who brings us pleasure and festivity I ask you for joy and lively energy for myself and my loved ones. I ask you to help us seek true joy in life and in each other, and to lead me with your frenzied guidance. I wish you good days and for delicious wine to always fill your goblet, and I thank you for hearing my prayer.
Dear Lord Hypnos, lovely god of sleep, who brings us rest and rejuvenation, I ask you for good night's rest and good naps, and for myself and my loved ones to awake from each slumber with less tired eyes. I wish you slumber as restful and peaceful as my own, and I wish that the poppies will bloom bright and beautiful in your honor, and I thank you for hearing my prayer.
Dear Lord Hermes, charming god of travel, who brings us trade and fertility, I ask you for safe travels and good luck, for my loved ones and I to travel safely from place to place and for our days to go well in your honor. I wish you the same luck and prosperity, and I will leave heads-up pennies on the ground in your honor, so that I may bestow your luck onto passersby. I thank you for hearing my prayer.
I hope that all three of you accept my prayers, my offerings, and my gifts. I am honored every day to be devoted to you, and I hope you feel similarly about myself. Thank you, Lords Dionysus, Hypnos, and Hermes, for all that you do.
