“Lately I’ve been thinking about who I want to love, and how I want to love, and why I want to love the way I want to love, and what I need to learn to love that way, and who I need to become to become the kind of love I want to be…and when I break it all down, when I whittle it into a single breath, it essentially comes out like this: Before I die, I want to be somebody’s favorite hiding place, the place they can put everything they know they need to survive, every secret, every solitude, every nervous prayer, and be absolutely certain I will keep it safe. I will keep it safe.”

it’s both comforting and heartbreaking that over time you will slowly forget the little details of someone you once loved so deeply until their memory is just a hazy blur like a dream you once had and can’t quite remember anymore

Some tips for using a few words to describe voices:
1. Tone Words: Use tone words to convey the emotional quality of a voice. For example, you can describe a voice as "melodic," "soothing," "sharp," "gentle," or "commanding" to give readers a sense of the tone.
2. Pitch and Range: Mention the pitch and range of the voice. Is it "deep," "high-pitched," "raspy," or "full-bodied"? This can provide insight into the character's age, gender, or emotional state.
3. Accent and Diction: Describe the character's accent or diction briefly to give a sense of their background or cultural influences. For instance, "British-accented," "Southern drawl," or "formal."
4. Volume: Mention the volume of the voice, whether it's "whispering," "booming," "murmuring," or "hushed."
5. Quality: Use terms like "velvet," "silken," "gravelly," "honeyed," or "crisp" to convey the texture or quality of the voice.
6. Rate of Speech: Describe how fast or slow the character speaks, using words like "rapid," "slurred," "measured," or "rambling."
7. Mood or Emotion: Indicate the mood or emotion carried by the voice. For example, a "quivering" voice may convey fear or anxiety, while a "warm" voice may express comfort and reassurance.
8. Resonance: Describe the resonance of the voice, such as "echoing," "nasal," "booming," or "tinny."
9. Timbre: Mention the timbre of the voice, using words like "rich," "thin," "clear," or "smoky."
10. Cadence: Highlight the rhythm or cadence of speech with descriptors like "staccato," "lilting," "rhythmic," or "halting."
11. Intonation: Convey the character's intonation by saying their voice is "sarcastic," "apologetic," "confident," or "questioning."
12. Vocal Characteristics: If applicable, mention unique vocal characteristics, like a "lisp," "stutter," "drawl," or "accented 'r'."

You were not the guy I dreamt of being with, because I love to be “ipagsigawan sa mundo” or to be flexed in social media once in a while, I love to be held in streets or in public, I love to be called “love/mahal” or “baby,” yet you are doing the opposite. You want us to be secret in your side. Our distance in public seems like awkward acquaintances, you don’t even hold my arm. You also just call me “uy” or “hope.” Exactly, not the guy I dreamt of with. But I was of great certainty— that you are the guy I love to be with, not because of the things you do in public, but in private. Remember the first time we met? We plunged into the mud, and you cleaned my feet using the drinking water from your tumblr. It was drizzling that time and you lent me your cap. You gave me flowers as a reminder of my beauty inside out. You cooked for me. You also communicate very well and express your thoughts and feelings. We talk virtually, even when typing long messages is not your thing. You commute at late night to come to see me. You let me sneak in your room twice at midnight to dawn, despite the risk and fear. You also listen to me. You validate my feelings. You wrote me a letter. You stare at me lovingly. You kiss me so tenderly and roughly that I am out of breathe. You love the smell of my armpit. You adore my body. And every time we make love, you never fail to ask if it’s okay to do it, or if I am feeling fine. And there are more and more to add.
You said— you’re out of control and at times hard to handle and not to give up on you easily. Even without saying that, I know to myself that I won’t give up on you so easily. As long as I can take it, I will always understand you, accept you, and be with you.
This was not me. I used to be the nonchalant, egoistic, prideful, impatient, and insensitive girl. But with you, I became sweet, selfless, humbled, patient, and sensitive. Loving you pulls out the better side of me. You teach me how to really love a person. You teach me the meaning of love— that it is as terrifying as it is sooo beautiful, that it is patient, that it is accepting, that it is unconditional, that it is genuine happiness with a person, and that it is worth waiting and sacrificing.
You ask me time and space for you to disappear and find yourself— because you feel lost, you feel so much pain inside that you cannot articulate, and you feel so pressured.
And that’s when I know and realize that it is indeed love— because I will wait for you, until you get the best version of yourself. I will wait until your life gets better. I will wait until you’re in your fullest element. I will wait for you to come back stronger, more passionate, and more creative. I believe in you. I so much believe in you. And oh, you also teach me how unconditional a true love is… because even if I’d be waiting for you for nothing— that when you get your best self and realize I am not the girl worth choosing and coming back to, I will still understand and accept it— as long as you become better and happy. I will just continue loving you from a distance. [[Written at 11am]] I will continue everything what I am doing— even when it hurts, even when it bleeds me, even when it is tearing me apart 💔 That is how much I love you. And I hope you can read this now—- but you are like bidding your farewell already. So— I will wait. My man. I love you so much. [[Written at 11pm]]

D,
Just like me, you also fight against tempests deep within you. But unlike me, your optimism still blooms and you wear a radiant smile againts all this darkness. You are drowned in your own depths of sorrow, but you still choose to resurface each day. I am proud of you for that. I admire you for that. Meeting you has been a gift— as I aspire now to be as resilient and as strong as you.
You love solitude, the way I do too. But I love it more now when I am alone together with you, during the night— when everyone’s tired, sleeping, and silent, and we’re just awake— cuddling, kissing, teasing, and drowning ourselves with each other’s soul.

We shrouded in a tension, a byproduct of of my frustration and our small disagreement. An entire day and night had passed in silence— giving each other space and time to think. But the whole passing hours, all I could think was you.
As the midnight soon to unfold, I made my way to your home. It was thrilled and at the same time exciting to sneak in, when your parents had already fell in slumber. Together, we shared a midnight meal— kinda silent at first to feel each other’s emotion.
As dawn welcomed us, laughter filled the room. Our starving lips met in sweet kisses. Our skin touched. Each one spoke truths of unsaid emotions. We nestled close to each other— hearts and soul in perfect harmony.
As I stare deeply at your eyes, I couldn’t help but tell myself… “Damn, I am deeply, intensely, and madly in love with this man.”
